  1. I believe we're up or ahead in PA, MI, WI, etc. I think we'll take it. But woof let's never do this again.
  2. They're not going to take the House.
  3. Trump is about to speak. The networks are warning he will lie and try to claim victory and has no standing to do so. I won't be watching; I'm taking a break to play Fall Guys while watching the results all night. Hang in there. Reid on MSNBC saying Dems in key states "remarkably calm," expecting these results. This was the plan, Wallace says. I know some people are heartbroken about not wiping him out as a statement, and possibly not taking the Senate, but we've always had two steps forward, two steps back (or in last cycle's case, one hundred steps back). It's not what I want - I'm still holding out hope for a thin Senate majority - but if we take it it will do for starting to repair the horrible trauma and damage to the country. And if we don't, well, we're alive.
  4. I wanted a landslide too. But doomposting just bc we don't get one or get the entire nation blinking sleep dust out of their eyes and saying 'what happened? how could we vote for him?' is just not fair or realistic. They're never going to do that. Their mentalities are not wired to accept that. This is an ongoing problem we were dealing with even before Trump, and it would always be here long after. This is a generation project. Our country has made a lot of horrible mistakes and done a lot of terrible things, but we've also done good. We've crawled out of dark places step by step before, and if we win here this will be no different. Even if we don't, there will be a lot of people still out there fighting.
  5. NV just turned blue.
  6. LMAOOOO
  7. RI for Biden.
  8. MSNBC finally calling TX and Montana for Trump, neither a surprise.
  9. That's because much of PA has yet to be counted. IMO it's a red mirage.
  10. Trump of course is tweeting calling tonight a big win and blaming the wait for people casting votes after "the Poles". Brian Williams, deadpan: "This is capitalized to suggest it is the fault of the Polish people." Iowa for Trump/Ernst. I think I mentioned that, but there you go.
  11. McCaskill says Biden team's attitude hasn't changed since the weekend: "As it turns out, the one true path was the one they're still focused on" The Fox anchors are apparently going Rove 2012 on their pollsters' Arizona call. Joe is speaking now to honking cars: "We believe we're on track to win this election!" lol, Joe comes out for an encore to Jackie Wilson's "Higher".
  12. Biden takes Oregon. He is also speaking shortly, which was pre-planned. Fox (which allegedly has good polling) has Biden at 227, Trump at 210. Meanwhile: He's just going to come out, flex about AZ and say get some sleep.
  13. Michael Steele to Dems: "Grab yourself a bottle of a lil' sumthin-sumthin' and relax!"
  14. Oh, Coop.
  15. I'll talk about it more later when we have a result, but yeah - America is an ongoing project. It is a long game. It is a struggle. We were not going to outrun the stain of these people in four years, whether it's a landslide or nailbiter result. They will be with us, they have been with us. Fixing the hearts in our nation is a longer road. We were always going to have a long struggle ahead, numbers aside. Carville, take him or leave him: "Every Democrat, put the razor blades and the Ambien back in the medicine cabinet! Michigan is a red mirage!" NYT map: Biden 213, Trump 136. Please note they still haven't given him TX or FL, which I've given up on.
  16. Yeah, the Woodard recast was such a nebbish weirdo.
  17. Indeed.
  18. This is how I feel: It's just not news to me. This has been and is harrowing and horrible, but winning is what matters to me. And if we don't do that, we keep going. Even a landslide win would've still meant a lot of work to do with the sickness rooted in this country. You know, we said all this same stuff as these sentiments when Trump won and when Bush won again and the fact is, the country is a lot of things. The country has done a lot to be ashamed of and it's done a lot of good as well. Writing it all off when things can turn on a dime either in an hour or a week or a month or two years or four years - as they have before - isn't really something I know how to do. A win is a win is a win. And if we don't win, I've been here before and I guess I'll find a way.
  19. Willis may have been right.
