  1. I know AOC's not everyone's favorite person and she's not always mine, either. But she has a gift for certain framing. The Dems need to let her go on TV and keep saying this 24 hours a day, and they need to follow her lead with the rest of their people, bc leaving this media war up to Wolf Blitzer or snarky little Republican weasels like Jake Sherman who viscerally despise Pelosi is not going to cut it:
  2. The full Biden foreign policy press conference got me emotional and is worth watching. Kerry especially is an American hero who was treated shamefully in '04, and he's always been stronger when in office and not micromanaged by scared party operatives.
  3. Trump held a minute-long press conference today where he took no questions and rambled about the stock market, then left:
  4. It's the net for me:
  5. Jake Sherman (who was 'excited' to cover 4 years of potential House-Senate gridlock) is pretty clearly whining about the future under Biden here. I won't link the full thread, but this response to part of it and you can click through his rest if you care to. Long story short, his replies are much more excited about a 'boring' Biden admin of 'almond milk' than he seems to be. It apparently took Michael Steele, of all people, to shut Sherman down during a now-viral appearance on MSNBC, after Sherman (wearing, once again, a sweater vest) tried to bothsides the delayed transition and blame the Biden campaign for not taking the GSA to court or something. Sherman was also recently doing press whining about people criticizing his off-record boozy retreats with John Boehner as an even younger cub. Sherman is part of the new Politico rising class of Halperins, Lizzas, etc. and it behooves us to watch him.
  6. I was fine with them potentially putting them together, but I always read Nelsen/A.J. as potentially gay, so it makes me happy.
  7. Thread:
  8. Yes, that was Sebastian Shaw. I liked him. I've always liked Leviathans more than most. There was a real kitchen sink quality - anything could happen. Angelique's role was great; Roger changed. Little Michael Maitland was such a hoot and I wish he could've hung around. A lot of fun stuff.
  9. Bend the knee. Good:
  10. I thought a lot of Summer 1970 worked when it shouldn't have as a retread because of the dread held over from the terrifying 1995 short-term interlude - I remember the episodes with the prophecised summer eclipse, or whatever. I liked Donna Wandrey as the other Roxanne, and more Chris Pennock always made me happy. But I also haven't seen it in maybe 20 years.
  11. That doesn't entirely surprise me about A.J. Eric Nelsen was so good, and another of the Agnes Nixon poor little rich boys - he'd never have been cast on ABC, IMO. He always seemed fluid. @marceline your comments?
  12. Willie was in Summer 1970 (Gerard/Daphne) in a minimal capacity, IIRC. I may be wrong. I loved the brief glimpse of Samantha Drew in PT.
  13. LOL, drag her fuckin' in.
  14. Ugh, as always Carville giveth and taketh away. I think/pray this one may finally get Chodd censured.
  15. Uh-oh!
