  1. It was cute of Kat to say "I got me to a nunnery" but we'd have to believe Kat actually knew the line "Get thee to a nunnery" from Hamlet for her to say it. I think Kat would only think Hamlet was a kind of breakfast item comprising of eggs. I'm getting very excited about my idea of Jamie Dornan's character on The Fall being Zoe's long lost twin. I can picture him coming to Walford after slaying Kat and Alfie in Ireland and bumping off the Carters one by one, beginning with Babe and continuing on with (in order) Shirley, Dean, Lee and Mick. I'd have him spare Linda and Nancy, though. Would the nuns even have suitable anaesthesia at their disposal for a C section? June Whitfield's character said they weren't interested in being midwives. In all seriousness I'm starting to think the moment DTC found out that Danny Mac was leaving Hollyoaks he and Daran Little put their heads together as to who he could play. Kat's long lost son and Zoe's twin? Bingo!
  2. So Kat had...twins? And the twin was probably Sean? Uhhhh, OK.
  3. They did, Bright Eyes? That's OK, then. DS is reporting that Allison King will take an extended break in 2016 but will return in 2017. http://m.digitalspy.com/soaps/s3/coronation-street/news/a645337/alison-king-is-taking-a-break-from-coronation-street-next-year.html Oh, and bye bye, Craig Charles... http://m.digitalspy.com/soaps/s3/coronation-street/news/a645377/coronation-street-craig-charles-leaving-show-to-film-red-dwarf.html
  4. Ah, OK, Carl, thanks! I can't see TPTB being happy with her tweeting that.
  5. Kate Ford just tweeted that she helped out with auditions today with 6 actors up for the role of Robert Preston. I assume it's TracyLuv's new love interest but who the hell is he? Besides having the same name of a legendary Broadway leading man, that is.
  6. This is no loss at all. Andrea's constant grinning annoyed me at times. And the storyline with her and her husband was profoundly fast-forward-worthy last year.
  7. I wonder what will be revealed about Jenny's history concerning a child. The way she reacted when she thought Jack had choked on something had been a big tip-off. Maybe she had a child herself who had died?
  8. I continue to be impressed by Lucy Fallon (Bethany). For someone so young her comic timing is impeccable. OK, she definitely looks 17 and not 14 but I'm willing to overlook that. I don't see her staying beyond her one year contract because I can't be the only one who sees a lot of potential for her to work in other areas, including films.
  9. I just didn't think James Forde was very interesting, Carl. I'm perfectly fine with Liam's exit. I thought it was ridiculous that he actually could stomp his foot and insist he was staying in Walford, anyway. Bianca had every right to demand that he go with her and the family. He was a minor, after all.
  10. I passed by The Church of Ethical Culture on Central Park West here in NYC a few weeks ago and Patricia Bruder Debrovner was scheduled to give a sermon!
  11. I distinctly remember a segment on Entertainment Tonight about AW and Victoria Wyndham referred to the show under the then relatively new headwriter Jacker as "undergoing a renaissance," meaning she approved heartily of Jacker's work. What I wouldn't give to see again the David Susskind panel with the leading ladies of daytime soaps-it consisted of Wyndham, Robin Strasser, Mary Stuart and Eileen Fulton ss well as a few others I can't recall. It aired in the NY area on Sunday nights at 11:30 pm on my local Channel 5. I keep waiting to see if it ends up on YT but I have a sad feeling the tape was incinerated.
  12. I really do like Maddy Hill... http://www.closeronline.co.uk/2015/04/exclusive-maddy-hill-talks-eastenders-danny-dyer-and-living-below-the-line#.VT0DM5T3bCS
  13. They've definitely softened TracyLuv in the past year, culminating in her saving Carla's life. They'll still have her pull a bitch-and-run from time to time, though, like the one a few weeks ago with Fay. It seems the show is already laying the groundwork for an Audrey-Ken pairing. Oy. Sorru for posing a much answered question but how do I post spoilers on the mobile version?
  14. Wow...look who watched GL with his "mum"! http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2015/apr/06/elijah-wood-favourite-tv
  15. You must watch Monday night's episode for the Cora-Dot scene alone. I've not been a particular fan of Daran Little's writing for this show but he did do an excellent job.
  16. The scenes on last night's episode with Cora and Dot were quite wonderful. Brava to them ladies. Thanks for posting the interview, Carl. He seems like a wonderfully articulate guy. I would have loved his response to a question about his fabulous ass, though...
  17. I also loved Kathleen, Dee, Lily and Wallingford in scenes with Felicia and Cass. Pure magic.
  18. Didn't Joel Fabiani play Alan Spaulding for a brief period of time? Daniel Pilon was an awful recast.
  19. I agree that Reinholt would have made a very interesting Alan-especially since he'd be sharing scenes with Beverlee McKinsey. The actress who once played Rachel's nemesis on AW acting alongside the actor who once played one of Rachel's great loves would have been fun to watch.
  20. I was in a very brief off-off Broadway run of Tennessee Williams' one act play This Property is Condemned in the early 1980s and Sally Gracie was in the other one act whose title sadly escapes me. Jill Voigt, who was the original Becky Lee on OLTL, was in both. Sally was wonderful to be around-so adorable and really good in the play.
  21. How dumb was it for both Aleks and Roxy to "forget" Ineta's birthday? She's a child, she would have reminded them numerous times before the day itself. Such a stupid story cliche.
  22. Stephen Schnetzer appeared briefly on The Following this past Monday night and his wife was played by...Alice Barrett! They both looked great. Shame about the show.
  23. Just watched episodes for Monday March 30-Friday April 3. I thought the direction was quite odd at times. Is this the first time Judith Dine directed? Weird camera positions and reaction shots. That shot from behind Carla's fireplace was artsy-fartsy awful. That location shoot with Sarah/Beth/Callum seemed strange, too.
  24. He never really fit in, though. He seemed to have wandered in from an episode of Eldorado. I will also miss his amazing ass, Carl!
  25. Harold's final appearance was quite sweet. I enjoyed the awkward hug Lou gave him.
