Trump and his cronies know he has no chance at retaining the office. This is just sabotage on his way out to instill distrust in the election process and to set up Biden as an illegitimated president to play to the fanatics in their base. It's nothing more than that - this country is so screwed up and doesn't deserve the democratic privileges it claims to fight for sometimes.

I do think it's hilarious that the GOP goes on and on about the 'radical left wing,' but their own party has not been in the 'center', in what, 30 years? The DNC does such a bad job of marketing this to the wider public. If anything, the DNC in its current state has much more in common with the GOP of the past than the current GOP does.

Trumpism brought absurd conspiracy theories and misinformation to the mainstream, and sadly, I think that’s a longterm ramification that we’re going to have to deal with for generations to come (on both sides, to be fair).

Lawrence is also the only one talking about how black voters tipped the balance in this election and largely saved Biden’s campaign. The other hacks can only talk about how much better Trump did with Black and Latino voters this election vs. 2016.

They really need to pull through a double victory in those GA runoff senate races in January to reign in McConnell. Not sure they can pull it off, but attention and funding needs to be moved towards that ASAP.

I don’t envy Biden, McConnell and company will do all they can to sabotage his agenda and campaign promises if they retain the Senate. With this election (hopefully) over soon, a huge scale effort needs to be put into those GA Senate races by the DNC, which will likely be runoff elections come January. They cannot afford to take their eyes off that ball. It’s the only way they can block McConnell and prevent another killing in the 2022 midterm elections.

I think what sucks is that, win or lose, the GOP is unlikely to move away from Trumpism anytime soon. Despite the state of the economy and thousands of lives lost this year (amongst other failures), huge swathes of the country still voted for and validated that f.ucked up agenda. Particularly, the literal brainwashing of parts of the Latino community in Florida is concerning to me.

Biden win or not, McConnell and the Republicans got what they wanted with the conservative majority in the SCOTUS. That's been McConnell's life long mission and goal for over 30 years, Trump (and shady tricks) was just the opportune vessel he used to do that. McConnell's already said this is worth taking a short-term hit to the Senate, House, and even Presidency for the GOP, as it has much more long-term implications. If the DNC does somehow gain a majority in the Senate and the Presidency, they need to get that 'court-packing' shTt together real quick to somehow mitigate this.
