I know I'm in the minority, but I've enjoyed Silver. I think a good s*** stirrer is what every show needs. I preferred Imani, but since that ship has long since sailed, Audra is what we've got. (Eww to sleeping with smarmy "Flucker") That said, Griffith's warp speed approach to EVERY story is ridiculous. He's basically written Summer and Kyle into a corner. He's gone out of his way to have Jack and Kyle growl and sneer over the mere mention of her name. Jack has always been like a second father to Summer. He should be at least sympathetic to her plight. As much as I have been appreciating Allison Lanier as Summer, this cloying "But my mother will have to go to jail" routine has gotten so old. She's working with what she's got, but it's just gotten so annoying. No to Summer and Chance, though, he's too old for her-- even with the retcon . No one would even consider it if "Good ole MAGA lieutenant" Donny Boaz was still in the role. Griffith obviously has no idea what to do with Phallus, even with both kids on the canvas. Then again, he's just been showing us how foolish the notion was to make him both EP and Head Writer at the same time. Dead babies, bombs attached to a teen, pulling a dead Diane redux with "Big Red", Ashland Nate using Victoria to screw Chancellor Newman Enterprises, etc... New blood needs to end this horrible set of stories. Where's the romance? Jack and Diane? Flucker and Ash? Where's the Young in Young and the Restless? He couldn't even write for Moses, who should have been around to help resolve the problems between his brother and sister. Can't write anything but "let's kill Faith's dorm cat and attach a bomb to her" --then send her away. Noah and Ali? gone. Creepy Connor? the less of him the better.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Added to previous posts: Iris Fairchild January 1969 - Iris tells Lee she won't come back to work for him while Lee tells Meg that he'll continue to try to help her. When Meg catches the flu in February, Iris cares for her. She's currently waitressing, but receives a job offer from attorney Tim Flannagan. She turns it down, much to Lee's delight. When Lee is admitted to GH for his back, Iris offers to run his office in his absence. Lee hopes she'll continue when he's back on his feet, and Tom has had enough of the back and forth he's been observing between Lee and Iris. June 1969 rolls around, and Lee is growing concerned about Iris's health. He feels she's working too hard. Tom worries as well, and visits her, finding her ill. She refuses treatment. As JPhil's trial continues, Iris volunteers to stay with an overwhelmed Jessie Brewer. She's still under the weather and faints. Steve and Tom fret over the lab test results. Tom only agrees to release her if she follows doctor's orders. She learns that Tom planned a trip to Ireland for her to recuperate. Meanwhile Meg can't distract Lee from worrying about Iris-- and she's not thrilled. At some point in August, Tom receives a letter that Iris shall return soon. Meg reads the letter and is then upset that Lee won't be joining Scott and Meg on a visit to her former in-laws. Lee needs to stay to prepare for Iris's return. As Lee redecorates the ante-room she uses in the office, Meg leaves with an ultimatum. Iris later hears an argument between Lee and Tom about Meg's ultimatum. Lee begs Meg not to force him to let Iris go. He doesn't want to lose her. Iris fights Lee's insistence that she continue in her job. Meg wants Lee to let her go, and Iris insists on quitting. Iris remains miserable. Through the fall, Iris tries to refuse a personal relationship with Lee. She is, however, happy to learn that Meg and Lee have reunited. December 1969 arrives and Lee tells Iris that his marriage is back on track. Once again, Iris writes a letter of resignation. Leee still can't figure out why she needs to quit. When Scotty is ill, Iris, Meg and Lee lean on each other. Tom needs to know why Iris quit, but all falls by the wayside when Scott becomes a priority. Meg insists her old friend spend the holiday with them in Scotty's room, where Dr. Steve Hardy reads The Christmas Story. 1970 arrives and Meg and Lee want to help Iris start over with a new job. She stays with them to care for Scotty while they work. Lee tells her Scott is well enough to return to school. Iris sends the Baldwins a letter. She has taken a job as a nurse at a clinic for alcoholic women.' Dr. Tracy Adams Walters January 1969--- Tracy tells Steve that while Wallace Dillon is doing well, he hasn't shaken any of his old prejudices. Caroline Beale has passed.and as January draws to a close, a new challenge, in the form of a new patient, Douglas "Doug" Burke. Burke is a white, blind man with Hypertension and Cardio-Myopathy (an enlarged heart). Hypertension will be their first goal to strike. As they get to know one another, they bond, with Douglas touching her face and commenting on her beauty March marches in, and Tracy has to warn Doug how dangerous the Renal Surgery he is about to undergo will be. Tracy admits her feelings for Doug to Meg Baldwin. The surgery is a success, and Doug confesses his love for Tracy. Tracy begins to confer with Dr.Tom Baldwin about surgeries to fix Doug's blindness. When Dr. Steve Hardy tells Tracy that a Corneal Transplant could have at least an 80% chance of success, she begins to worry. Douglas is excited by the prospects of vision! Tracy continues to be concerned. What if Doug regains his sight, but his feelings change because she is black? Meanwhile, Doug asks her about her feelings about marriage. May 1969 is here, and the transplant is about to be a go! As much as Tracy tries to avoid commitment, she is in love with Doug. After explaining to Jessie Brewer that Doug doesn't know she is black, good news arrives, a donor has been found! As Doug returns from the ICU, Tracy blurts the news that she is black. Doug responds that color is no issue to him. When the bandages come off briefly during a changing, Doug is stunned by her beauty-- but Tracy still won't commit. Doug accuses her of cowardice and she storms off. Later, Doug goes to find her to apologize and suffers a fatal heart attack!!! (Iguess they should have worked more on the enlarged heart than his sight-- but hindsight is always 20-20). On July 10th, Tom and Steve have to break the news of Doug's passing to Tracy. 😞 August of 1969 arrived and Tracy just received another patient. This gentleman is from the Emergency room. His name is Jeffrey (Jeff) Walters Walters is hostile toward Tracy. The two disagree about the best way to assist the black community. As Tracy discusses with Tom about the differences between herself and Jeff, he learns she was in love with a white man! By the time October rolls around, Jeff has been released, and Tracy wonders why she hasn't heard from him. He surprises her with an invitation to lunch. Denise loans Howie $1,000.00 to make the bet, and wants him to "show his appreciation" for the loan. Both are crushed when the horse loses. Howie gives her a check for the loan (Thanks Jane) but Denise tears it up. For Christmas she gives him cufflinks, and suggests they should spend New Year's Eve together-- alone. As 1969 rings in, Denise lets Howie know that Freddy suspects an affair. (In my opinion, Denise is just a lonely work-widow-- her husband doesn't bother with her and only cares about the business and Denise is just flirting for any attention from any man.) Jane gave up their bankbook to pay her off after learning Freddy filed for divorce. Denise goes to her and tells Jane that Howie's problems are all because of her. There was never anything like that between them. Howie is next named the co-respondent in their divorce on the grounds of adultery! By the end of February, Denise is admitted to GH. She has an ulcer! When Howie visits to check on her, he lets her know that he got a new job that he likes. Denise responds with the news that Freddy has dropped the infidelity part of the divorce. A new chapter begins in April of 1969, as Dr. Steve Hardy is on the case. He and Denise discuss their woes over Audrey and Freddy. Upon meeting Audrey, she tells her how impressive Steve is. After getting back on her feet, Denise wanted to sign up to Volunteer on the 7th Floor. After a few days, she admits she really enjoys it. Denise and Steve go to dinner to celebrate her divorce. Steve fills her in on his youth, growing up with his missionary parents in China. Denise even cooks Steve dinner and they kiss. She is concerned about Steve's worries about those that are important to him. After letting Audrey know she loves Steve, the realization that he still cares about Audrey gets to her. His feelings for Audrey drive poor Denise to leave a letter to Lucille stating that she can no longer volunteer. Denise leaves town. Audrey finds a letter written by Steve to Denise, and realizes she has caused him more heartache. Months have passed, and Steve receives a letter from Denise, asking that she be reinstated as a volunteer. She reappears December 6th with a call to Steve announcing her return. They have a happy reunion. Denise tells Steve that as much as she tried to forget him, she couldn't. 1970 starts off with a bang as Audrey and Denise spar over lunch. As the Baccardi nightmare continues, Denise worries about Steve's life. Once the hostage situation ended, Denise was elated--until she learned that he spoke to Audrey first. She asks Lucille for three days off-- conveniently as Steve does the same. A ski trip in the mountains is just what the doctor ordered, until Steve remembers that it is his and Audrey's anniversary. Denise proposes, but Steve declines. Steve tries to get in touch with her, to no avail. It appears that she has ended it, but then calls Steve from New York with an apology. She returns, even trying to make Steve jealous. A handsome patient named Bruce Andrews pays quite a bit of attention to Denise, but Steve barely notices. Denise quietly left town.
