There was also Christmas Eve 1987 that features Amy (her last Christmas in GC till now) and Nathan quite a bit. When they were helping out at the orphanage i think and this time It’s Nathan who surprises a little boy by dressing up as Santa. I guess someone must have reminded someone over at CBS they reaired that one already years ago and they dug up Christmas Eve 1985 instead. Shawn to me is interesting as I don’t look at him and think “that guys a psycho” because he just doesn’t look the part…I guess that’s what worked though for the story. I honestly thought that Danny realized he could sing again when he had to perform a solo at church ala Carol on that Christmas episode of “The Brady Bunch” it was still a nice scene but it’s not like it was totally obvious that Danny’s voice was all there or not because the choir drowned him out.

It was definitely a treasure to dig that episode out of the vault! They really need to put the unedited version on their YT page! i always try to figure out their reasonings of selecting these classic episodes and my only guess is that it heavily featured Amy/Nathan/Jazz/Tyrone? With Amy’s return story and connection to Nate’s father I’m guessing that could have been the reason they picked this classic Christmas episode over others? Not complaining but just observing. I hate to offend some people but I think I prefer a lot of the 80s Newman family and Newman family Christmas scenes pre SORAzing of Victoria and Nick….lol. (Well, more so just Nick) Little Victoria saying “Merry Christmas Everyone” and slightly looking into the camera is just very heart melting to me! 🥰🥰 the scene with Matt and Victor was very sweet too! Poor Lauren… I don’t even know if viewers were really suppose to feel for her during the church scene when Shawn appears instead of Paul but my heart certainly went out to her, TEB played those scenes very well. the budget this show use to have with the singing children’s choir! You would never know today with how cheap everything looks today! Even though Ed Scott coming back is definitely an improvement so far.

I totally agree, I'm up for both Brooke AND Taylor to have new men in their lives or be strong independent women...which Thudley doesn't believe in unfortunately....

I'll say it, because there was a time I actually liked them, but I'm so OVER Finn and Steffy! I actually was thinking how much I wish they would revisit Bill/Steffy and this time Hope or Brooke can catch her in the act and finally hold something over her....It won't happen that way sadly....

I’m beginning to think Thudley has had similar experiences as Ridge and really thinks he’s writing about himself…I’m not kidding! and Steffy really needs to STFU, she’s just as bad for even wanting her mom back with an abuser like her father, yet how surprising since she allowed herself to be in the same position her mother once was with Liam all those years…

This is why I can separate Brad the writer and person because if he really thinks these women should be groveling and constantly giving Ridge all this attention he really is a pathetic man for writing this drivel!

All I can think about is how she looks now vs how both Jeanne Cooper and Susan Flannery for example looked at 61. For Jeanne that was 1989/1990 and Susan 2000/2001. I think what kind of annoys me the most, is that Ridge could have at least told Steffy and Taylor Brooke initially was the one who told him about Carter and Hope taking over, but again heaven forbid Brooke looks good in any light when it comes to them. sigh….i think I’m gonna be done with this show after the end of the year….

I actually do think it'd be hilarious if the REAL Forresters were actually in favor of Ridge and Steffy being pushed out of the company....We really should be getting the whole Marone factor back into play. I just want to know is it really mandated that the Forresters sins are never suppose to get aired out like the Logan’s do?? It’s not good story telling, when history isn’t acknowledged and I really just want to know what Thudley has against any of what Steffy, Ridge or Taylor done in the past ever being bought up? Other than pushing this stupid “Logan’s are Bad” agenda.

Believe me, I always imagine that on more even footing, every time Steffy spits out “you LOGANS” Hope would fire back with “You FRICKIN MARONES!!! That’s what dreams are made of though!

It’s just so….sickening!! 🤮 I can’t even go into any long rants other then shame on Bradley for ignoring his own shows history, and just continuing this “Logan’s are evil” facade, after everything those MARONE a$$holes have pulled over the years. at this point I wouldn’t even know how to fix all this, and I think the shows even more damaged beyond repair at this point. Someone on X suggested that Steffy is probably gonna get Liam to make Hope forget about Carter and to get her back out of the company…that’s such a Brad Bell move and it’s predictable…..and in Steffys case because she chased after Liam herself all those years it would be too desperate on her end, although that’s how she is. sorry I can’t hide my disdain for Steffy, but I don’t mind if you prefer her over hope! lol

Not that it wouldn’t be the same BS he always spews but I’ve noticed more recently Thudley seems to avoid doing any interviews with what’s going on at the show. Is he still butt hurt over the time Michael Fairman or whoever called out his BS over the Thomas/Caroline “affair” stuff?

I don’t want to offend the Steffy fans but again it’s too one sided on her and Ridges end. If this does lead Into Brooke and Ridge breaking up again and him going back to Taylor, I would think we should hear RJs POV, where he either tells Steffy to lay off disrespecting his mom, and that she’s selfish for only caring about seeing their father with HER mother, without considering how he would feel. Or even better RJ being the one to tell Steffy how childish and petty she has been wanting to see her parents back together while he’s done nothing but stay out of all that like an “adult” should.

Glad to see everyone on agreement about RJ. I personally hate he isn’t apart of this story.
