  1. Then Wesley Kenney brought on Tracey Bregman, and Patty Weaver who both started on Days.....
  2. Well perhaps JLB was just more of an "old school" Bill Bell actress then an NBC actress....I know her stint on Days was popular but I wouldn't think she would fit the style and writing of an NBC soap at first glance....
  3. Not only Victor and Eve but there was also a flash of the iconic Victor and Nikki scene where she is dressed as the French Dutchess....you see a flashback of that in one of my 1992 episodes....amazing that those scenes are from one of the episodes shown in the clip!! anyways Dennis Cole is very John McCook like.....he sort of speaks like him but doesn't come off as corny at the same time....... It's still funny how about 8 years later they brought Robert back for Danny's cocaine trial in 1990....I like him a lot better here with Lorie and Lance then I do in the 1990 episodes....he was a real ass in those scenes..... his has to be early 1982 right? I'm really starting to notice how "modern" everything is becoming.....I guess some of it being the show being switched to an hour but I notice the music is being played more frequently in these scenes unlike in the 70's where they only play music at end of a scene.....also they are starting to use the"newer" cues that were kept till at least the late 90's early 00's I believe.... it's sort of sad knowing that Lorie's time with the rest of the Brooks and Fosters/Prentis was running out and the Abbotts were on there way.....
  4. Conboy was still there....Kenney started around March 82 I believe?....
  5. Yes!!! so been looking forward to this for such a long time!! my goodness those scenes were terrifying, Bill Bell was really good at doing mentally disturbing dream sequences....I don't think I have seen one like that before...omg those screams.I guess Lorie and Vanessa's fight in the dream was one of the show's earliest "catfights" the suicide scene was great, I had know idea that Lorie and Vanessa had gotten "friendly" and Vanessa used that to frame her....I just can't believe she would take her own life just to destroy Lorie.....I guess it shows how messed up she was.... Lorie's catatonic state was very well acted as was Lucas's reaction.....and wow never thought I would see Brooks, but wasn't he Leslie's son?.....that housekeeper looked a little like Betty White.... also liked that Carl was there doing the questioning and wow you see a hint of early Victor at the ranch in some of those scenes.... You don't know how much we appreciate your continued effort in posting these wonderful clips! still looking forward for more...
  6. I agree about Chase, I know this sounds harsh but it's pretty stupid that Bell got rid of him when he clearly seemed like he was gonna use him more throughout the story...on the episodes I uploaded they even try to make it seem like out of everyone Chase was to be David's ultimate foil since there were scenes every now and then of them trading barbs.... They should have kept Chase and hooked him up with Nina after she was found not guilty and David's death, but have John Silva still try to get with her too....I can't say enough how much was wasted on Nina with Ryan.... I guess that's one thing in Bill Bell history that we sadly can't change....
  7. It was one of the episodes but I think the shooting episode actually won her the Emmy, I believe they submitted the masquerade ball episodes for best show but they didn't get it that year... I'm pretty sure the Sheila farmhouse stuff won them the 93 Emmy For best show.
  8. The singing really shocked me as I didn't know Corbett sang yet it could also be dubbed.. I had heard about this Nina centric episode and wasn't sure if it was entirely centered towards her....I guess bill bell didn't do many of these but it's a nice change....I know this is a different league but it sort of reminded me when they did stuff like this for passions with those tabitha and Timmy holiday flashback episodes where it was just them... David really was convincing early in his plans u do really feel for her....the ending when she cries and we hear David's evil laugh is a little terrifying.
  9. But she was alive when they first came on then died offscreen right?
  10. Question but was Casey and Nikki's mother ever on the show? I was glancing through some 1978 summaries (when Erica Hope was still Nikki ) and I didn't realize that they said their mom died in a car crash and this was late 1978?
  11. Yes I remember those Nikki ones, I think I have them saved on my old computer but I don't know if they are still online.....I do think the one with Addison is still on the TV Guide site..... I guess Bill Bell had a handful with these battle of the Divas during this era....Lorie and Jill then with Nikki added on....I always prefer to think that Katherine and Jill will always be the man "stars" of Y&R but like I said I think if JLB could've stayed she would have been the show's "lead" The Erica Kane/Viki Lord of Y&R.....Katherine seemed to be more of the "Phoebe Tyler" type during that time though in our hearts she will always be Y&R's Grand Dame.... I guess that's what so great about Bill Bell's Y&R is that anyone of these ladies could have been the "lead" We have sadly lost that now....
  12. Such Powerful Stuff!!! I'm beginning to wonder what might have been if JLB and Lorie never left....I feel like after watching all these scenes she truly was the "Erica Kane" of Y&R...... Loved getting to actually see Victoria Mallory as Lesle...she is very pretty, though a more subtle type of actress, she was more calmed then I think she should have been during that whole scene....but Man JLB should have won some emmys back then as well.... This indeed aired around January 1979, I looked it up from this website that has some old Y&R recaps for newspaper articles http://youngrestless.webs.com/1979
  13. Cool! I always wanted to see stuff from that year, since some audio stuff with Katherine haunting Suzanne I believe is still on here from the same year....
  14. Great to see Vanessa without her veils....she still looks as mean as she did before though.....Loved how she played Lorie like that and Lorie doesn't let her have the upper hand.... Who's voice was that at the end?
  15. No again thinking it was the next episode but I don't have it at the moment...
  16. Here's the last new December 1990 upload 12/11/90
  17. Loved that Greek trip one....I had know idea honestly that Bill Bell did little numbers like these during the 70's....just shows how much of amazing production he has.... I loved how Lance just broke out into song, John McCook is actually a really good performer, and whoa had know idea JLB could Belly dance..... The fireplace scene was nice too....I guess Jill was Stuart's "mystery woman" right?
  18. me too....(as I hope many others do) I remember Heather once describing her first scene and it was just her getting a letter from Victor in her room at the Swiss boarding school and after she read the letter she cried ( I guess it was the letter explaining how Victor married Ashley and Nikki Married Jack) I believe her first couple months involved scenes with Victor flying over to see her at school till he brought her back to G.C which is when she started scheming to reunite her parents....
  19. Here's 2 more new ones from December 1990 12/7/90 12/10/90 The 12/10/90 credits confirm that Heather Tom did indeed debut that month and not 1991 like others say.....She wasn't on contract till a couple months later though (at least Feb/March 1991) Her first episode wasn't included unfortunately....
  20. It does seem like they amped the budget up a bit more...so maybe the location shoot is possible.... It's a shame if they never used it again because like I said I could see Nikki going wild here....
  21. Wow!!! that was truly an epic scene!!! leave it to Y&R to really keep up with the times by having a disco set haha.....loved seeing Lorie having fun and she was really into it with the dancing! it really looked like everyone was having a blast....... How long did this set last? did they reuse it as something else later? I know there was a dancing place called "The Beat" in the late 80's and early 90's that you would see Danny and Cricket etc... dance at....did this disco become that? Great to see more of Tom Ligon as Lucas since I only saw him in those brief scenes of Lucas yelling at Lorie for "crashing" Vanessa's funeral.....he does seem like he had a bit of "dry humor' but I'm glad he let lose at the end.....funny how that random guy who dances with Lorie reminded me a little of the actor who played Marco Dane on OLTL....haha Did Nikki and Paul ever use to go wild at this place? I could see them getting it on here....haha I notice they seem to cut to scenes instead of doing fade in's......was this already when the show went to an hour in 1980 or are we still in 1978/79?
  22. Adding more to this growing list of "rare uploads" here are the first 2 December 1990 episodes I have....these weren't on youtube before.....(though SoapOperaSpectacular uploaded some of the Sheila scenes a while back) 12/5/90 12/6/90
  23. I'll say it one more time......whoever has either Foster Family edits 1973-1982, Kay and Jill 1974-1979 edits and Nikki (W/ Erica Hope and MTS) edits 1978-1981 better come forward, or just post the whole full episodes....haha.
  24. Another gem of a scene! thank you!!! wow K.T Stevens is also a great actress as Vanessa tries to plead her case with a distraught Lorie.....You almost wanna believe that Vanessa is being serious about leaving Lorie and Lance alone then we get to the end where she begs Lorie to take the blame to save Vanessa's ass.....what a crazy thing to do.....I'm waiting for Lorie to just attack her, but I know unfortunately catfights hadn't gotten popular in soaps yet....haha I always adored the cue that starts at 3;36 to 4;16......it's a shame that even in all the early 90's episodes I have collected that cue rarely shows up and we know Bell still reused a lot of original music till at least 2003 or so..... also nice to see more of the Hoff as Snapper though I'm still a little pissed about his acting choices during that horrid 2010 return with him and Wings Hauser as Greg when they had the nerve to Kill Liz off.... LOL at the disco ball at the end....
