Thanks....so it sounds like Nikki's marriage to Tony was a last minute thing....It's interesting how it all tied in with Alison as well.....I assume Paul and Nikki were still pretty close by this time, so it just always seemed strange that they couldn't fit more of her relationship with Tony in with Paul's story....I guess at the time Nikki was way too caught up with Katherine, Victor and the Bancrofts....then of course months before her wedding to Victor she was held captive by that Rick Darros fellow. That's when Paul and Victor rescued her..... It all seems like a lot but it seems that at least back then whatever male psychos were brought in to torment Nikki made sense story wise, unlike the terrible Ian stuff now...

I know.....I really need to get back into uploading....don't know why it's been so long?? I'd actually rather see Jack pop in randomly for small scenes like the ones in these episodes compared to all the groaning and weeping over Victor we get eventually with Bergman's Jack.....Lester was finished at this point but still manages to make all of Jack's small scenes interesting and he doesn't seem all that upset about the Jabot takeover compared to Bergman.....it makes you think that Terry's Jack would have gotten the company back from Victor a lot less longer then the 10 years it took when Bergman took over....which later fell back into Victor's hands for a brief time after I think??

Thanks days22!! I always look forward to your uploads! Lauralee really is selling this rape story .....I never really thought (minus all the airtime) her acting was that bad (though she isn't the strongest actress) but the work she did with this rape storyline was some of her best.....you do feel for her and not in a forced type of way.....I also have to say that Rebecca Street who plays Jessica is also doing a good job as she deals with what Cricket is going through.....Jessica always seems so sugary sweet so it's nice to see a tougher side.... When John told Jack about the rape, I swear you can almost see Terry about to roll his eyes.....You know he was just thinking "alright Bill, I know I said some choice words about you always putting your daughter front and center but seriously??.....must you include me in this little plot now??.....you can send me off anytime now..." Derek really is a slime, the way he just denies the rape even after he's arrested, though the fact that he thinks he did nothing wrong is really disturbing.....great scene when Chase pounded the crap out of him.....I sort of laughed at how Jack just stood there letting it happen....Bergman's Aunt Jack would have instantly pulled Chase off of Derek while repeating "this isn't worth it" etc........ Btw, found another episode from 1992 (I believe aired April 28,1992) don't think this was uploaded before either...

She sort of reminds me of Mishael Morgan in that picture....it's sad looking at that photo knowing her time was running out

She does sound bitter, but I can't argue that she's wrong......I know Y&R has a history of "strong" woman, but in some ways I always feel like men had to always rule out over the women as far as Bell was concern.....

Check this out.....a very rare montage of scenes from 1982!......with the Y&R theme with lyrics....you can tell this is 1982 cause they have scenes of Leslie and Chris Brooks and other characters who shortly departed after...some I don't even know

I feel like Eve's 93 return in general made her seem like she was "unknown" character we didn't see onscreen like before Victor even came to town....the way they wrote it made it seem like they had forgotten what she had tried to do to Nikki before she was committed, and Nikki didn't seem to realize that she was the same Eve Howard who tried to kill her at her wedding...

Yeah the Lucci and Dano thing was very contrived....I think most soap fans know that Lucci isn't the diva people think she is (for the most part) That "University" soap looked OTT but interesting if that makes sense?? haha.....I mean come on I think most colleges would be too ashamed to film their own soaps.....nowadays everyone just makes their own reality show cause that's what's "in" these days....so you can't blame those university people for trying....LOL It's sad watching the Bill Bell staff plot the show and thinking about the lack of knowledge the current and previous TPTP over the last few years have with this show....I mean you don't long conferences anymore like they did, everything now is just, "Ok so Sharon will sleep with Nick on Monday then Billy on Wednesday....why? because she can!!" no thought what so ever on character development.... I just rolled my eyes at the Braeden part.....I'm hoping Bill made him do the whole thing anyway cause there's no way HE would cave into Braeden like everyone does now...

The "New" Jack Abbott audition process.....very interesting....the one hopeful they covered got to become a waiter in an episode of B&B....

This is different soaps being covered but here is an episode of 48 Hrs from 1989 discussing the soaps.....they also show the behind the scenes of Cricket/Derek rape scene which is interesting since days22 just posted that episode......Lauralee went to Kay Alden for advice for her scenes.....Alden was raped herself years ago, I didn't know that....

Thanks. I guess he must really be out of Y&R clips if he doesn't have the same dates from these GL and ATWT clips......disappointing I'm not gonna lie but then with all the other great clips and episodes being posted already it's not such a big loss right now, haha.

How interesting and cool..... you are so lucky!!! I think it's great that he is still recognized, I would've told him I was hoping they paired him with Nina too.....and also asked what it was like to work with Tricia, Lauralee, M.Damian, M.Corbett, Jeanne, Jess, and even Kimberlin.....did you get to ask him about any of his old co -stars Chris? I find it a little silly that his ex would keep him from staying on the show, not that I don't believe him but there must be more to the story..... Rafe should have been a relative of Silva's maybe his nephew....that is if the show ever really cared about extending his family or following through with a gay story.....(Rafe competing for Harding with Kevin!!!.....haha just kidding....)

Great scene! thanks as always! I guess that explains why Brooks looks younger if this was before that Ball, was this still early 1981 or late 1980? Nice to see Leslie play her piano and the way Brooks watching her was touching....such a beautiful scene.

Wow good for you for actually saving those episodes! I would like to see the whole episodes somedays, but if you fear for your tapes I understand, haha.....but still it's amazing you have those after 30 plus years....my goodness...... If we really want to see y&R from the beginning that may just happen since I know in my heart Chuck Pratt will most likely be Y&R's final nail....

Just some more comments on the episodes that Days22 has been uploaded....I'm at 6/29/89 so far. The rape scenes were really really disturbing and quite graphic for that time....Derek is pretty scary during those scenes and the fact that the used the loud music during the whole time Cricket was raped was creepy. Lauralee did a good job here. I know she usually got a lot of grief for being a "air hog" and Bell's daughter but I think if it weren't for those facts people would be willing to admit she's better then they say she was..... The scenes with Nina interviewing the potential Nanny's made me laugh.....the type of soap comedy TPTB are ashamed to put in now unfortunately....I especially liked the cigarette lady. I laughed when Nina was like "put that thing out" after she dismissed her.... I guess this was the debut week of Nina's "new" apartment, they seem to show it off a bit.....I miss that set and it pisses me off that it's now probably preoccupied for Chelsea and Billy to F**K....(sorry...) The Brad/Traci stuff is the one draw back....just doesn't interest me that much and him forcing her to let him stay for 2 months is stupid.... Jess is killing the scenes where she mourns Phillip and curses Katherine and Nina....these were the type of things that made you understand Jills complexity as a character, and why she always comes on so strong..... 25 years later and now we have a character far beyond being a former shell of their character's self..... Those Victor and Cassandra scenes were very well done....I like how they are both cautious of the other's motive but the fact that they are a bit vulnerable because of recent events draws them together..... I can't wait to watch the rest!

Oh yeah....I forgot that a couple years back I technically got to asked Kimberlin Brown and Don Diamont a question (not at the same time).....It was during a podcast this lady named Olivia Wilder does and she's a big fan of the Bells shows so she's had a lot of the actors come in, and it's one of those things were as you are listening to the interview by live, you are allow to post things into the chat fourm, and also call in to ask questions.....I didn't call but I typed out a question for Kimberlin and Don and she asked them, and they both answered it!.... .I was literally shaking though it wasn't actually me who was talking to them but still...haha

I probably won't ever get that lucky to meet any soap stars in person....the closest is seeing a few of the ABC soap stars at the Thanksgiving Parade...

Holy Crap that's awesome! I agree you should try to talk to him if you can.....maybe even show him some of those episodes just to get a laugh....haha Maybe you can find out how he prepared for all that grueling dialogue during the trial scenes he was part of, I bet it wasn't easy....

Can't wait to see it, what makes it disturbing is that Lauralee said she actually got bruises filming the scene.... I know I'm gonna get some hate but TL as Jack was starting to get a little annoying to me....especially in scenes with Leanna.....as much as I hate Victor sometimes a part of me was cheering him on to get Jabot so he could wipe that smug look off of Jack...I guess at this point he already stole Jabot....

Thanks for adding more of these, watched 6/26/89 so far.... Loved the scenes with Jill, Katherine Rex and Esther.....Jess does such a good job of portraying Jill's pain over Phillip's death and thinking everyone else is responsible.....I loved how Esther blurts out she cared for Phillip while Nina was at the concert (I don't know why Rex had to use his son's full name to Jill though....) Katherine breaking down at the end was great and I loved that they used the "Katherine's Theme" music. They should have used that when Kay passed away.... Nice change to see Nina and Leanna being friendly.....the scene where Nina shows her clothes she bought while Cyndi Lauper plays, was fun....Though it almost seemed like they added in the last second that Nina almost bought something for Phillip, just so the audience wouldn't think Nina was being a bitch and just in it for the money....it's interesting to watch how light hearted Nina was being while everyone is still mourning at the Chancellor estate..... Is Cricket's rape gonna be in any of these episodes? The Brittany and Cassandra scenes were good as well....I like how she only suspected that Cassandra had gotten close to Paul only after George died and how she's determined to date Paul herself.....for such a slow moving story I'm glad thing moved along since the April episodes.... I didn't realize Nikki and Victor had only made their divorce final around this time....her and Jim is always a little weird though the scene with Victoria was nice....
