Michelle is a shell of her former self. All her pluckiness is gone. Seeing Michelle subservient towards Preston is the worse. The original old recipe Michelle i remember never took any crap from anyone.

Even through i'm not fan of this story i love this trailer. Preston comes of as unlikable and bland. Michelle is being written out of character. I can't imagine Susan Tully version playing this.

I hate Preston he needs to be shipped off back to America. This story is making the new fake Michelle look pathetic. Something a tough and plucky Michelle never was.

I liked Laura she was a great adversary for Gina. I think Laura going full tit bonkers was due to a change in HW's.

I loved Tonja Walker as Olivia Jerome. But Alex was so bland and underdeveloped. Alex only became entertaining when she got fatal attraction on Bo. I was surprised when Gottieb/Malone brought her back. Gottieb/Malone did a great job redefining Alex. l liked Stephanie she had so much potential. A shame she was written out. How i miss the days when soaps had a budget and would go on location all the time. I'm pretty sure this was Rauch/Carlson. Malone/Gottieb's run was right around the corner.

I remember the first blonde Linc being a nice guy. In the summer of 1993 the new brunette LInc #2 came back to Oakdale. This new Linc had a personality transplant while away. I wonder if this story was plotted by Doug before he passed away. Or was it written by the new writers. It was all rather meh.

Darn reading your humorous assessment of New Michelle made me laugh. Susan Tully will always be Michelle to me. It was funny seeing New Michelle devouring her American teenaged boy toy. Poor Lee has been destroyed by his exit story.

Growing up i found Loving boring as hell. Now as an adult i see that Loving wasn't that bad. All the turnovers did hurt the soap in the long run. I found Stacey bland and she was. But by time Stacey was Gwyneth's first murder victim in the Loving Murders Stacey had become an interesting character. Loving should've kept Rick. The show need a bad boy like Rick to stir things up. One of Loving biggest problems was dropping characters. Buck's daughter Janie had such potential.

I liked Hogan's writing until he was paired with Jean. Never knew that it was TE who requested Jake be killed off. Poor Molly was stripped of her husband, beloved twin step daughters and daughter. Molly should've never been paired off with one Carly's former beau's.

Hogan did do a great job with them until he killed Jake. After that Molly regressed and floundered.

The aftermath of the school bus crash wasn't seen. Season 3 is uneven and depressing. The strongest stuff was Miles's quilt over cheating on Tristen with Lola.

Great stuff Mac and Rachel were awesome. Loved Jamie & Vivian stopping Cecile. Early Donna looking fierce and fab. Liz's giggly demeanor was adorable, From what i've seen of 1983 and 1984 they looked like good years for AW.

I might be wrong but i think all these characters were created during the writer's strike.

Yes! Pam made mistakes during her first run. But her second run was good.

How long was PFS HW on GL? On Wikipedia the dates are always wrong. What stories did PFS do? besides the Mona/Rebecca story she inherited.

Sadly instead of Hope, Mike, Meta and Paul GL created the Bauer cousins

Roxie, Meave, Kurt, Jesse, Calla, Jackson just to name a few were all awful.

What little i've seen of Hillary i like. Hillary was very down to earth and blunt. It's strange in her last 10 months she's sucessfully paired with Jim. She's a major player in both the Dreaming Death and Susan Piper stories. Hillary also had great chemistry with Fletcher It boggles the mind why Hillary was killed off when she was finally thriving. The Bauer's were never a huge family. Writing off Hope and Mike and killing off Hillary were major blows to GL.
