I think part of why the early Deception stuff is fun is because they didn't go to deep with it.  The early Scott/Julia/Dominique stuff was light hearted and then it transitioned into Lucy vs. Katherine, Brenda/Jagger doing some cheesy photo shoots etc.  Nothing terribly serious. 

This Deception isn't glamourous or fun.  Between the talk of how it's going to go bankrupt or how Maxie is one paycheck away from going broke, how they can't find a model, blah, blah.  It's almost like I feel "why bother?' if it's all so insanely difficult.

Lois would be the general emcee, Maxie (who is reenergized as is) would be in control, maybe BLQ is still at the job, maybe not, while Lucy would be working on the product for older women. And then maybe bring back Serena (noted in many recent mentions to be a bit of a hippie-dippie heiress with environmental interests) to get involved and have her idealistic aims for the product line make things difficult for some of the others. Then you have a lot of women involved in different things.

That just makes way too much sense lol.  That would be something I would want to watch.

I think Blaze is the show's answer to Deception being edgy?  Latinx and LGBTQ.  But again, most companies don't just have one single model doing everything.  It just seems strange that an entire skincare line hinges on one person.

We had this discussion I think.  Deception was a spa in the beginning then Laura at some point opened it again I think but the story was scrapped and it just faded away.  I am pretty sure all Brenda did was shill perfume.  Like the one scent they had was called Deception.  It wasn't multiple products

No idea what Carly/Laura were selling in the early 2000's when Gia was the face, but it seemed like makeup.  And now it seems like skincare and laser products lol.

This is probably an idiotic question because I have seen the more famous clips, but did Richard Simmons have a storyline or was he just the fitness instructor?  From his anecdotes and memories he makes it seem like he spent quite a bit of time on set, but I always thought his appearance were more a gimmick even though it spanned a few years.

Vanessa is like 5'4" I think.  It's hard to tell because she looks close in height to MB, but IR could put her in his pocket.  She's just tiny in general, but LW/CW seem to be a lot taller.  I am a 5'8" so maybe people just seem small since I am tall?  Lol.  I just remember Steve Burton was a lot shorter in person than I thought he was.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if the Trina thing with school was permanent or not.  I feel like most soaps say people are going to college and then lose interest and we just assume they graduate or something.  

Isn't Trina exceptionally short to be a model?  Like I know that didn't stop Erica Kane or Brenda Barrett, but she looks so tiny on screen lol.  Honestly, at this rate Joss will be the Face of Deception instead.

We all know the rumors.  We all know something went down between DH/SR.  I was just shocked you could see Deidre Hall's disdain emanating from the screen.  I figured these two 70 year plus professionals could work it all out.  I felt bad for Drake because the entire filming must have been AWKWARD.

Anyhow, I usually shrug my shoulders at Marlena's shrinking and stuff because she is the only one in town.  But I certainly don't think it was appropriate to ask Nicole if she was still in love with Eric.

I *like* Lois at Deception and don't mind it.  It's just another one of those things where it doesn't make a ton of sense.  Because what exactly is Blaze doing if she's not to promotion?  Just print ads?  If Deception makes so much money from promotion and QVC or whatever the show is called they should probably hire one person to fit all those needs.

Lois becoming a Deception spokesmodel is another interesting choice.  She has more life to her than both Sasha/Brook Lynn combined so I guess that's fair enough.  I really hate how they are writing Lucy in this though.

I am a little torn on the Sonny stuff right now.  I feel like it's become obvious how strange he and Ava are both acting and it was subtle before.  Carly rifling through Sonny's drawers to see the medicine was funny.  Never change, Carly!  GH is really getting their moneys worth on that bathroom set lol.

The scene of Kate remembering her rape lives rent free in my head (not a good thing).  Because the whole scene was so disturbing.

On a much brighter note, there is a scene where Sonny is visiting Bensonhurst sitting on a stoop and is all messed about Brenda leaving him and a man puts change in his coffee cup because he thinks Sonny is homeless and it's hilarious.

Nina & Sonny, well Mo counts for a lot & then Nina fans were for whatever Nina was doing that week. I don't see anyone pining for it. Fans are engaged in Nina & Drew, some hate it & a great many are loving it even if they think it's perverse. Similarly, Sonny fans are absorbed in what in the heck is up with Ava, although I've seen a fair amount of people wondering why Sonny didn't bed Natalia. When Ava & Sonny hit the sheets, I think those people will be sufficiently distracted. 

Also though many people felt like they saw real electric current flow between Drew & Jordan. 

Brick & Jordan is really beneath contempt. 

I just know from Sonny/Brenda fandom that people loved Brenda when she was with Sonny but the minute VM left it was "KS's Kate is the BEST THING EVER".  It's not the female these fans care about-it's whoever is up Sonny's butt at the moment.  There's a very specific group of Sonny Fans First that appear to like any pairing he has.

Nina is such a mess of a character I am going to assume most her fans just really like Cynthia Watros's work and not anything to do with Nina as a character.

I actually can understand Sonny/Nina's fans frustration.   I don't know why you'd be a Sonny/Nina fan in the first place, but they really just fizzled out lol.   It ended and they barely share scenes at this point. Nina has gone in an entirely different direction and it works for the character.  I would suspect these Sonny/Nina fans are more Sonny fans than anything else.

I honestly think JS is pretty good considering I think she's basically a model/influencer.   I only know her from America's Next Top Model lol.   I think she grown a lot since she was cast.  I consider AZ, DF, and GV to be very good soap actors and she holds her own with them.  JS isn't entirely there yet, but she's also a decade younger than them and just started doing this.

To be fair, I did defend SM/Sasha a lot in the beginning and always thought she had potential.  But I am 100% over it now.  Sasha will still always be better than Willow in my eyes though.  It's very faint praise.

Sloan was about 5 feet away from Eric/Nicole and they didn't notice her at all, so I am going to assume they couldn't hear her either.  But Sloan yelling that in a public Town Square was not smart.  Perhaps we are supposed to think Eric/Nicole's love was just too all consuming to notice space, people, time, etc.

Ha!  She does talk slowly, but I always thought it was because English wasn't Sophia Mattson's first language.   I am pretty sure Sasha is supposed to be from upstate NY and not from a farm in Kentucky.  I really don't know much about upstate NY, so it is entirely possible she just cooked and hung out with horses, but.....seems unlikely.
