I am not aware of any human who would find the creepy butler relatable. If he disappeared tomorrow I would not notice.
11 minutes ago, Taoboi said: NOT AT ALL!!! I wanted him dead. Preferably by Anna because his condenscion irked my nerves. And then he was being a petty bitca to Lucas over what apparently really was a crush on Marco? Boy, bye. And grow some balls if you are mad at Lucas over being hotter than you.
I guess it was implied that he had a crush on him? I couldn't really tell because Pascal made Van look subtle yesterday.

I don't mind Laura as a mayor in theory. It keeps her in the heart of the action. The execution of her role as Mayor makes her look weak and incompetent, which I don't think is the intention.
I also agree about her and Kevin. It's a non-romance. There is no story there because JL is busy doing other things. Frankly, I am not sure JL/Kevin can appear long enough to even give them a proper breakup lol.

7 hours ago, dio said: that's what these soaps are doing. Y&R is riddled with YOUNG recasts. It's insane. The writing is on the wall. lol
I disagree. There is casting someone younger as a recast on a soap and there is casting Nicole as someone 15 years younger on Days. Arianne Zucker sued Days over mistreatment, discrimination, retaliation and sexual harassment. Even if all parties have settled, casting someone younger like that for Nicole essentially proves her point. That would be an awful look for the show and is guaranteed to fail. To me it's 2 different issues. Besides, in general, Days doesn't usually go younger with their recasts.

15 minutes ago, Vee said: Yeah, I will take OTT soap ham Van over a lot of these folks. He's always a good time as Lucas, he's genuinely presenting a gay male onscreen, and he often does good work. When he doesn't I'm still having fun lol
I really liked Carnes and thought Van wasn't great at first, but I have come around. Van makes Lucas seem much more alive and fun than Carnes did although Carnes would have probably been better today lol. Again, Van isn't anywhere near my list of people that GH should get rid of.
Speaking of people to get rid of, Kai might get taken down by Willow after today. That would put Trina in the Maxie range of dead boyfriends though.

Van Hansis was SO over-the-top that I was laughing out loud. That could not have been any worse 😂🤣😂 And sorry, the "grief comes in waves" reasoning doesn't work for me, at least not in this case. My Lord.
Laura has been a terrible mayor since the day she entered office. She's complicit in more wrongdoing than any mobster in town.
Van was over the top, but it was entertaining. Like I said he's at least half alive unlike, say, Mo lol.
I do buy grief comes in waves, but that was more a tsunami than a wave lol. Van is fine as Lucas to me. He just very hit or miss in the acting department. His style doesn't really fit the more "low key" GH acting.
Laura is not a great mayor, but I am more curious as to why Kevin is dragging a toddler Ace around the world. That seems inconvenient.

And it’s not like he was brainwashed and also didn’t know. It’s just another version of SA. All of her stories right now are about being violated, and that is sad to me because it’s all plot driven nonsense with her babies and now NotNathan, and the show isn’t written to be on her side. Rocco still thinks Britt is somewhat important to him, Charlotte and Valentin are as gross as ever, now this.
GH loves to have Lulu violated and act like she's ridiculous for bringing up any concern. It's not even like she harps on it or constantly talks about it. She's just considered in the wrong for discussing the reasons she is not being welcoming enough to Valentin or Britt. She should literally get restraining orders on them for real.

On a different note, I think we all knew Wiley was awful at baseball and his coach hates him, right? Kai didn't even want to try coaching that lol.
Paevey was fine as Nathan. As a villain? Not so much. I don't exactly care because he does as well as I thought he would do at it.
Van Hansis is not great, but at least he's trying something? I guess?

1 minute ago, Rocket Man said: I concur but still thinks they'll cast her as Nicole Walker by deSORASing about a decade or two younger.
Why would the show do that? That would make no sense given Nicole's history and be horrible. I have no idea if AZ's lawsuit was ever settled with Days, but it would only add fuel to the fire casting someone a decade younger lol.

@Antoyne and @Vee-I actually think both Sidwell and Sonny/Jason are ineffective. Sure Sidwell's has made moves, most notably setting Michael on fire, but all he generally does is take actions that result in minor setbacks or small wins. He runs the entire town by blackmailing people, but his son was still murdered so, good job?
I agree both Sonny and Jason are completely incompetent at this point and yet by doing nothing Sidwell still took the hardest hit.
Obviously this will all drag out for many more months because Jason is in prison or whatever, so I expect a whole lot of lateral moves until Steve returns.

1 hour ago, Khan said: All in a day's work for Port Charles' newest contract killer, lol!
That would actually be wonderful. The entire town, cops, mobsters, and the WSB hemming and hawing over Sidwell for at least a year and Willow just casually kills him in her pantsuit and goes and picks her annoying kids after lol.

32 minutes ago, titan1978 said: They have always done the umbrella big bad story. But some of them just will not end, and became too all encompassing. It’s been especially bad the last few years. Cyrus and Peter both come to mind.
To me there was no reason to tie Willow to Sidwell for one.
Yes. Willow being tied to Sidwell is unnecessary. Maybe she will be the one to do him in lol.
With "Nathan" being another random Cesar spawn it feels like we just did this with Peter. And he's connected to Maxie too? Ugh.

GH has consistently had problems with the big bad being connected to everything as far back as Guza. Jerry Jacks, Helena or JF's Franco, anyone? For some reason GH especially loves to keep a villain, drag them out until the end of time, finally finish the story and when you connect the dots and think about the arc you always wonder why they didn't just take out so and so in the first place? They spend years of time wasted on side projects and not the end goal.

12 minutes ago, Jdee43 said: Kind of disappointing if they're just going to make Nathan another flunkie of Sidwell 's. Wasn't he supposed to be the big bad, the one actually running everything?
That was the rumor, but it was either wrong or the show pivoted when they realized Ryan Paevey could not pull that off. I agree it is kind of annoying because now Sidwell runs the whole town.

I think Britt making the "mistake" of saying Faison had 4 kids a few weeks ago kind of blew the cliffhanger to be honest. It was still a good cliffhanger, but I figure that was the way it was going.
Trina and Kai were actually really dumb today with Willow. They kept obviously slipping up in the silliest ways. Willow is not stupid. Besides Chase will defend his girl Willow to the death (hopefully).
Wiley is the most annoying kid outside of Violet and even that demon spawn could form a sentence. James looks like a literal genius next to Wiley.
DAYS: Former GH actor joins in new, mystery role
in DTS: Previews & Spoilers
I have already stated why I don't think it will happen and won't repeat myself. I still don't agree with your reasoning and don't see the relevancy of bringing up other soaps. How Beyond the Gates cast their actors has absolutely nothing to do with how Days cast theirs.
