Yeah, I definitely understand why the story has moved so slowly because of JJY, but all of Cody's stories are stalled. It took so long for Cody to get his footing and now I actually like him he just hangs out with Sasha lol. I think Finn/Liz depress me because it's just another wasted Elizabeth pairing with no real future. Plus, I hate that Liz has to interact with Violet.

Finn/Elizabeth is such a dreary pairing. I don't know why I just find their relationship depressing for some reason lol. The Cody/Mac connection never made sense to me either. I am not sure what the timeline is even supposed to look like. Obviously, we have to take JJY's health into consideration, but this story has been dragging forever.

I feel like Maggie/Margaret is a fairly common name, though? It's probably dated now, but it's not super unique like Marlena lol. I wouldn't confuse CC's juggling clown Maggie on OLTL for Days Maggie under any circumstance. Doug, Victor, Stephanie are all very common as well. We live in a soap world where Maxie and Lulu are names for adults. That's worse.

The character development was much better. It's not believable, but the characters got more point of view while JER's characters repeated the same lines over and over for 4 years. And...........I still can't tell you why Marlena didn't just tell John in 1996 that Kristen was bad news and that she (Marlena) still loved him.

Personally, I think once you get to the point where Andre has a face mask pretending to be Roman it becomes unbelievable. Once you have 2 Romans running around, Marlena and Roman back from the dead, and it's all a silly Stefano plot the credibility was gone. GH was the same in the 80's and grounded themselves in the 90's. Days just went wild with JER.

Perhaps Disney/ABC just changed everything for GH, but the younger people on this show are just so chaste and unsexy. In the 90's and early 2000's GH characters were just having sex and not focused on getting married and having babies at 25. And, yes, there is just no way in the world Sasha is equipped to do anything more than catalogue model for Macy's. Even Blaze was a better idea because at least she has a following and is kind of cool. I wouldn't even want to throw an axe with Sasha.

While SM certainly isn't the most dynamic or charismatic actress out there, I do root for her more than Willow just because poor Sasha has been through so much. I agree about JK. Outside of Brook Lynn, I don't know who I'd pair him with. Most of the females on this show in his age group are desperately dull and lack any sex appeal. I am not saying these woman aren't sexy, but a lot of these women in their late 20's/30's on GH seem to be weirdly puritan about sex. I'd probably give Cody a shot with Liz just because I know RH could sell the pairing. Also, I would drop the Deception angle with Sasha/Cody. As pretty as SM is (and she's beautiful), she doesn't have any believability as a spokesperson. Gia and Brenda were believable because they also had dynamic personalities. No one is going to buy face cream because monotone, mentally ill Sasha recommends it lol.

I am of the mind that Marlena/Roman/John's believability as down to earth characters went out the door in 1991. They continued to be viable IMO. Although I have a hard time thinking any character outside of Tom/Alice is very believable on Days. Days hasn't been a realistic soap since the mid 80's or at least the mid 90's.

Lol! I actually don't mind Cody/Sasha, but the momentum they had after the Gladys reveal was lost. I don't know if I have ever seen a romance move at such a slow speed when there is actually no real conflict between them. Just move the story along already! Anyway, I am all for a Spixie happy ending and them moving off the canvas for a while.

Lol! It's almost like Marlena and Maggie can't exist on the same canvas. Except they have on separate sides for years and years. I have never once thought Maggie was stealing Marlena's airtime or vice versa. They fill two different roles.

Then you'd think he'd particularly sensitive to portraying the accent accurately. Tbh, it doesn't always sound ridiculous, but today it did. Oh, well. I don't really like added accents in general unless they are necessary. I suppose this is probably necessary, but if they dropped Konstantin's accent like they dropped Mac's from GH I wouldn't mind.

Especially when Martin's accent isn't necessary or adding anything to the character. Konstantin is supposed to speak English as a second language, but dial it in. Victor had basically the same upbringing as Konstantin (or so we are to believe) and he didn't have an accent at all.

I have but I didn't realize he was the janitor. It's been a few years lol. Well, I will say that's a really obnoxious accent choice then. When he was talking to Steve it was exceptionally grating.

I hope the actor that plays Konstantin does not speak like that in real life. That's a ridiculous accent. So, uh, are we supposed to believe that the police think Brandon Barash and Paul Telfer are anywhere near the same height or size? Lol, Rafe.

Thanks! I was confusing myself a bit about Sandy being friendly with Chris vs. Roman. I knew she didn't date Wayne's Roman, but I was wondering if I was conflating the two because of the Josh Taylor of it all lol.

I just think it was a weird memory to bring up period lol. I get the correlation between the fire and the explosion, but it's a real bummer of a memory, John!

I don't get why Cyrus even exists. He has no purpose on the show-truly.

I looked at Sandy's (very brief) wiki page and it does say she and Marlena witnessed Roman "killing" a hooker during Andre's serial killer spree. So, it does seem that Sandy did interact with Roman and that's probably when I heard that. Unfortunately, I haven't seen those episodes in years and have no idea where to find them. It doesn't even seem like Sandy got an actual exit.

I never want to hear about Suzanne Roger's sex life again lol. I feel like John/Marlena/Kate/Roman were trying to spit a bunch of random historic facts about the Horton house and it ended up clunky. It's difficult to slip in "oh yeah, when I thought I was Roman our house blew up because of Orpheus and I presumed Marlena was dead for years. It almost burnt down the Horton house too!" The thought was there the show just inserted some strange anecdotes.

I suppose it doesn't really matter now, but it does make Alice/Tom much older than they should be. I think this has been established before? I don't know how I know this, but it wasn't a surprise to me, so I assume Roman may have mentioned it years ago. I think the last time Sandy was on she did interact with Roman/Marlena IIRC.

I know we had this discussion fairly recently, but I can't remember who was involved. Anyway, yesterday Julie clarified Tommy was in the Korean War again. Given the flashbacks and dates it seems Alice was about 108 when she died.

I thought LA did a good job as Allie too, but I wouldn't mind if they recast. She was a good actress, but I always thought she was a little too low key for Sami's daughter. I think the show could find someone more dynamic for the part although I do mostly blame the writing for Allie. All Sami's children are so nice and boring. Sydney's our last hope. I honestly would probably age Sydney into Tate/Holly's group before I'd bring Allie back.
