  1. Sarah not being at the wedding is ridiculous. Marlena not so much. I was uncomfortable watching Dee/Suzanne in scenes so I could see the show just calling it a loss and scrapping it.
  2. I think GH has been creatively bad for almost ten years I know @Vee said 2016, but I'd argue 2014 really. The thing is GH wins just enough awards, gets just enough praise, operates under budget, and the cast likes Frank. I don't think ABC/Disney/whoever sees a problem. GH does just barely enough to keep running the same way. Unless someone that truly cares about the show and has power to change it is watching everyday I feel like the audience is stuck in this holding pattern. That's why I am personally stepping away for a bit. The shows quality hasn't steeply declined, I just need @Taoboito send me a smoke signal when GH finally decides to bring Vanessa back. Otherwise, I am uninterested lol.
  3. Thanks! I couldn't recall an exact moment where the dates were changed back, but I knew it happened. I think Paulina/Abe's wedding was referenced in current time when it occurred as well.
  4. I don't think ALL their early stuff was good, but I thought there was real effort to save GH around the 50th. There were returns, excitement, decent plots, call backs to history, etc. At this point it feels like the show is turning a minimal profit so FV is fine, but no one seems passionate about the show.
  5. Their early stuff was good. I liked it. But Guza did a lot of good work too. At some point the show outgrows the writer or producer. The burnout started happening years ago with FV, but here we are completely ignoring ways to make the show better because FV reaches the bare minimum standard as a producer.
  6. I am 99.9% sure it's back to present day. They've referenced the date and year a few times. So someone (everyone) could just be lazy, but I think Salem is in 2024 not 2025
  7. Very true. But I think the fact Will/Sonny are bff with Chad at least make me take note they aren't the same age lol! At the same time I think Ava/Harris are older than Lucas as well so it's all murky. EJ is Lucas's contemporary and was born in 1997 and Belle/Brady are younger/similar age to Abby so TIME does not exist in Salem obviously.
  8. This was in the early 2000's before gym memberships became a real thing, but I am sure the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa at the Hilton in CA still hates me to this day for being obnoxious and has tighten up their rules since.😂
  9. I feel like such a downer for not really enjoying anything. There are still characters I like and that are featured, but my optimism about a changed show is coloring my viewing. I am not sure if PM was the savior some people think, but at least I was expecting some change. Now it feels like the same patterns and characters are going to rule for the foreseeable future. So, I had a gym membership at our local Hilton when I was a teen and could use their pool whenever and bring friends. I assume you could probably get a health club membership with pool rights at the MC. We could also charge food and drinks to our gym membership. My parents loved that. Useless knowledge for the day, you're welcome.😂
  10. I am sure a locksmith could figure it out, but Julie doesn't want to break the interior content. I understand that although I think in the year 2024 someone could gently open it with the right tools.
  11. For all I know they changed the idea 100 times. We've gotten so little info on it lol. It's just "damn, we still can't open and have no plans to figure it out".
  12. Interesting. I definitely thought Curtis. Does Finn even know Patrick? Anyhow, I have pretty much given up on the show. I feel like I sat through some boring PM work just because I thought it would change eventually and now I am mostly apathetic. The show hasn't really declined in quality. I just don't have much hope anymore and struggle to get through episodes.
  13. Probably. I just keep wondering if this time capsule story is going anywhere or we are just going to talk about how difficult it is to open for 6 more months. Watch AliveAbigail will somehow have the key. I really enjoy Lucas. He just is fun and BD seems to actually enjoy playing Lucas which is refreshing. Chad/Lucas do sort of seem like contemporaries and I was thinking that today. At least he did refer to Abigail as his niece a few times this week, so we know he isn't Chad's age lol.
  14. Do you think Ron or any of the writers know what's in the Horton time capsule? Julie has been talking about that thing for months and there has been literally no movement in that storyline thread at all. They.........still can't get it opened lol. Theresa/Brady came a little out of nowhere for me. Ava/Harris having a rift was weird too. I know Steve/Harris are leaving, but Ava's has done about 20 worse things in the time they have been dating that Harris has easily forgiven her for.
  15. Again, that's just not how it hit for me. It was rather dull. I do appreciate your perspective though and it's different from knowing people and being that person of course. We are all internet strangers/friends/casual posters and it's very brave of you to share your personal story. I would rather not share mine. I truly respect your journey and don't want to sound crass or unsympathetic, but I don't think your own experience and feelings plays out to the entire audience. I certainly wasn't crying or even that enthralled, but everyone does have a different awareness and I respect that. Honestly, though, keep doing what your doing and keep fighting for your own health and sobriety because that's a lot more important than Finn and Liz.
  16. I genuinely wish you continued success in your sobriety journey! I know it's a very difficult and fluid process. I am not trying to minimize anyone's thoughts or experiences. But what you said in a few paragraphs was real and gritty. GH isn't even trying to touch that. Finn had some outbursts and regrets, but neither Liz or Finn got to express true nuances or psychological factors. It's a disservice to those who struggle with addiction, know someone who struggle with addiction, and/or lost someone to addiction. It's a mild PSA IMO that drugs and alcohol are bad.
  17. Agree about JK. He honestly does seem to be flirty with Tracy unintentionally or not. I think Spin just spends all his time in his office because he has no life so people go there with the assumption that's where he will be. I mean, Drew got Carly's vote so he will obviously win. If the show is smart they will keep the Willow/Nina/Drew thing going but.......GH is not smart lol.
  18. Good to hear! I have a few close family members that do struggle and it's difficult to provide help only for them to relapse again and again. You can only do so much. It's on them to want to change.
  19. I hope you are in a better place now. Addiction is a hell of a disease. Anyhow, I wish Elizabeth was given the chance to explain her POV to Finn and why she feels this way. Her history works well with the story and could really give her more to do. Liz should be weary of going down this road again.
  20. From what I saw Finn did a cheers with Lois's dad? and drank a sip by accident. Then the bottle appeared to be at most half empty. I didn't notice the bottle ever being empty and Finn never even tried to hide it or put it away before answering the door multiple times lol. Anyhow, if this is leading somewhere it's fine, but at this point everyone is making a huge deal and dedicating several scenes to something that appears to be done. I actually want to just meet Spinelli's parents to know who raised that man child.
  21. You know, it's almost like the show could use the fact Liz was once married to an addict and the fallout of Lucky's pill addiction. But no, let's just make it all about Finn and Violet.
  22. It was one sip of champagne not an entire glass and he didn't drink the full bottle of bourbon/whiskey. It's serious to Finn and I do get that, but it literally affected nothing on the show. Liz was mad for about a day. I know I am way overthinking Spinelli's living arrangements, but I always thought either the office had a separate entrance or that he had an office in the same building as his actual apartment.
  23. I get it. It's not supposed to make sense lol. At the end of the day Finn knows he messed with his sobriety, but it didn't really affect anything. Violet's fine, he didn't drive, he wasn't hammered on the job, he just had a few glasses of whiskey that he was stupidly keeping in his house for whatever reason and moped around for a night. I think Cody flirts with Tracy quite a bit. I do think that's just Cody's personality, but I could honestly see him liking Tracy and her uppity, rich life. It could start as a con to get money and move into real feelings. I still think it's Spinelli's office not his actual apartment. Georgie said she had a room there in the past and unless she sleeps under the desk that's not possible.
  24. Lol! I should have known. All Curtis needed was some aspirin and a dream of walking toward Laura once more. I seriously don't understand Finn/Liz's relationship. It's clear Finn can't casually drink like Curtis, but at the same time Finn just slipped up and doesn't appear to want to make a habit of it so I don't know why anyone is still talking about it. I know it's leading somewhere but everyone is acting like Finn full on relapsed instead of just having a few drinks after his father died.
  25. I thought they were referring to Curtis as well. Makes you wonder how Curtis got through his gunshot wound and paralysis without any narcotic pain pills though. I think Cody and Tracy would be fun. The man deserves fun after dealing with his non-romance with Sasha for nearly a year.
