Aww. I felt bad for Sophia today. I was really puzzled by her outfit though. Her denim skirt didn't cover her behind so it looked like she had a white shirt tucked into the skirt and that's what was covering her parts with a cropped glittery heart cardigan on top of that lol. So I don't mind this Rafe/Jada story. It's mildly interesting. But Roman is right. What Paulina is doing to Rafe is illegal. I thought that the minute she said she was demoting him. Does Paulina have advisors at all? She makes all these decisions that just truly don't follow the basics of HR. Even if we all know Jada is better than Rafe that's just not how a civil servant job works. Casey Moss is really giving his all the first few days. I don't have much hope it will last, but he's always been a solid actor. It's his character that's mostly boring.

Didn't Chase and Brook Lynn raise one of Maxie's wayward children as an infant for awhile? And just had custody of Violet? Why did they buy a book about having your first baby? They are probably more equipped than 99% of first time parents in Port Charles. And why were Gio and Sasha handling mail not addressed to them? With the small village that lives in the Q house you would think you would look at the recipient before opening the mail. It's honestly been so long since I've seen Lois I don't actually even know what secret Ned is keeping from her. Willow/Drew?

It was like Sam tragically dying turned Willow/Drew on and that's the strangest thing ever. Willow has never had a strong enough point of view or personality for me to even give any of her intentions much thought, but she's had a pretty long history of lying and shady behavior so I am not sure why we should like her as a heroine. Dropping Nina out of this story was the biggest mistake of course. I don't mind the mess and I am glad something happened, but they are probably the 4 most boring characters to focus a quad on. BLQ and Chase being added somehow is the only way to make it more dull.

I could get behind that idea. I also agree on the Willow/Drew/Michael et al story being very chaotic. Nothing happens for months and then 3 huge things happen in a week.

Probably. It doesn't seem like JJ is very enthused with the material either. I just get confused with who is mandating what and who's calling the shots. It's no wonder the show is so up and down and disorganized. I was thinking Sasha/Cody might not be related, but either Mac loses his only bio kid or Holly is lying again. Both those options are extremely annoying to me.

Instead of insane blocking taping to save costs perhaps he can look at getting rid of 25% of his cast. I am sure Kelly wasn't cheap and frees up some money, but why pay JJ to do basically nothing when there are multiple stories he could be involved in?

Very true. I was thinking maybe the show clearly wanted to free JK/Cody up for something new and, no, I don't believe it's Tracy. Cody/Sasha could easily had a misunderstanding that led Sasha to get drunk and sleep with Michael and get pregnant. They really didn't have to be blood related lol.

Yeah, I don't think it was a great exit for Robert, but it's acceptable. It all seemed slapped together last minute. I really don't understand why Lucky isn't getting more focus. He returned and then faded into the background. The same thing happened with Jason for awhile when eventually, as you noted, things just went back to the way they were in the past with only the tiniest bit of effort. I don't get this either. It honestly makes no sense. If both Holly/Robert are leaving (for now) the show could have just retconned Ethan to be their son and they had to go off and find him for whatever reason. Sasha seems to be getting a story with the Willow/Michael/Drew mess, so it wasn't even necessary to give her something to do.

I personally think Diane's hair has always looked awful so I can't tell a difference lol. I guess the Holly/Robert ending was nice for their fans. There just seems to be so much damage and lies between them. But at least Diane and Robert broke up.

I don't think Nancy permanently resides in Salem. I think she lives in New York so they don't have a home in town. Nancy mentioned she wanted Joy to live inside her means so that's why she told her about the Pub. If multiple crimes didn't occur at the Pub regularly I would even argue it's safer for a young woman living alone. It's actually bizarre Nancy wants Joy anywhere near Kate after everything she did to Chloe, but whatever.

Fair enough lol. I guess it would be hard to have a job when you spend your entire day wallowing in your own self-pity. Everything is about KRISTINA!! Don't you know? Her next task will be propping her ex-girlfriend's homophobic mom and her own dad's romance. I really think Mansi's Kristina should be leading the younger/30's set, but this material is just dreck. Worse than normal GH dreck. Yeah, I remember but that didn't mean the entire community center had to be scrapped. She could have hired someone competent to run it. So, you know, it would actually help people that needed it out. It just points to more self centeredness on Kristina's part to decide to not follow through if she personally couldn't run it. But I am acting like I care about this minor plot point more than I do lol.

Sam's death? I forgot did Kristina's community center ever open? Is that just dropped?

Javi looks cuter today. This hairstyle is much more flattering than how he was wearing it a few days ago. Anyhow, he still is annoying me. He seems ungrateful. Gabi was nice enough to give him a job and he's immediately complaining. Does he really have any qualifications to do anything else currently? And I was confused. Did Gabi imply she's poor now? Leo started texting Javi so I missed what she was saying. Yeah, the Joy/Leo stuff is a no. I wish they cast Joy during the awful Craig/Leo story. I don't feel any connection with her as a Wesley because Craig and Chloe aren't interacting with her and Nancy is written like a joke. I am all for legacy children returning and this will be unpopular, but I feel like JJ, Tripp, and Joey are all the same character and are pretty dull. I like the JJ/Julie scenes though. No comment on the Body & Soul stuff.

Does anyone have any ideas or theories about what the original surrogacy plot was supposed to look like? Do we think Kristina/Blaze were actually going to try to get custody? I can't help think the entire plot was a waste of time and there were supposed to be more long term consequences. Pretty much all this story has done is made Kristina unlikable.

What's new about today's Kristina? She's been moping and selfish and sad for months. Now she's so sad she can't even drive and is putting others in danger. Not that I care if she injured or killed Natalia, but she's been unlikeable for several months. I say that as someone who likes Mansi and her portrayal of Kristina. She's just not rootable or even sympathetic at this point. Sam's entire family and friends are very sad. It's not all about Kristina and her pain.

Kristina yapping with Eva La Rue today on those rocks was certainly a choice.

That's a very valid theory. It just seems like Marlena could care less. The show doesn't exactly play up their rivalry. Marlena just acts like Kristen is an annoyance and moves on with her day.

Yes, I believe you are correct. The Day of Days promo is the promo for as long as I recall. Raping Eric was the big nope for me, but Brady/Eric had been at odds on and off. I still need someone to explain to me why Kristen would even want Brady at this point. He's not exactly a catch. Not that Kristen is either, but I assume she can find a 50 year that has a house and a job lol.

It's amazing that Kristen gave up her John obsession so quickly. I mean, I get it was a lot of hijinks for a lot of years, but with Kristen's personality it is almost strange she moved on to Brady and it's lasted this long. SOD has always been more pro Bo/Hope than John/Marlena and then every other Days super couple sort of falls in line after those two for whatever reason. Days has a lot of couples to choose from I suppose. Plus, SOD always ranks GH couples super high-even ones that haven't been together for eons.

I feel like Kristen/Brady have some variation of this same conversation every few months. In six months they'll be discussing a different serum, flower, computer chip, etc and Brady still won't want Kristen lol. I wish the show would ditch Kristen or at least ditch this Brady/Kristen relationship. It's never been viable and it hasn't been interesting in years. Also, I know Brady's jacket is supposed to have that crinkled leather, but it just looks dirty on camera. The whole Steve/Roman conversation would have been much better with John, but such is life. I am glad Roman gets something to do outside the pub though I guess. Xander really just needs to stop trying to randomly kill his relatives lol. Sarah really puts up with a lot of sh*t from Xander lol. JPL seems like a nice guy and would probably be great fun in real life to hang out with, but he is so wrong for Phillip I can't even deal with it. I am still so confused what he's going for. Has he ever seen clips of JKJ's Phillip? Even clips of KB's Phillip? This is a pretty filler episode where half the characters spend the entire episode talking about people that aren't in the episode (Clyde, Cat)

I agree. I think the last time I remember Sonny/Mo doing really good work was at the tail end of the Brenda return and some of his work with Kate 2.0. I am hesitant to say Mo doesn't care or isn't trying, but that's what it feels like. He seems to be just coasting along going from typical Sonny emo story to another. IMO, even Steve's Jason has a stronger point of view. Carly is so hit or miss it's hard to tell, but that's more writing than Laura Wright.

I like Sonny more than most, but Mo/Sonny are certainly not above criticism. He just used to be a lot better. I don't find him depressing, per se, I just know he used to be able to do a lot more. I am very sympathetic to his personal health struggles and Sonny's also given me great memories. Sometimes people do need to know when it's closing time on a character and I do think Sonny is long past that point.

MB often looks down too so I wonder if lines are written on the floor for him or something? MB has been fumbling his lines for years now. He used to be more natural at it, but it's been a problem for at least 20 years. He also likes to whisper and mumble which makes it very difficult to hear him sometimes. The quicker paced, out of order format is clearly not for him.

Oh, I agree. EH has some sort of accent (Midwestern maybe?) that sometimes makes his words sound a bit jumbled. They could easily re-shoot that. I have noticed LW make errors before, but I sort of think it works with Carly as a character? She gets so worked up over something and needs to say what she's thinking immediately. I actually don't mind the fumbling every now and then because it's true to real life, but it's difficult to endure when you can see Mo searching into thin air for his next line lol.
