  2. She didn't have another baby, did she? Her first son is too old to be nursed now, he may be old enough to be weaned off the bottle.
  3. At the wrong angle, the hair color looks all wrong on her. But in that last picture, I actually think she looks like a blue-eyed Becky Herbst .

  5. In the OLTL book, it says Gabby came to town because Delila had taken credit for her designs. I thought she was trying to get them back. Oh well, I still love her and Fiona . I actually thought they still had chemistry, particularly when they became friends again in 2003. I really felt that could have had a more mature, lasting relationship at that point, particularly if they had been written off together, They were never closer friends than they were then--I really thought Max was in love with her all over again--there was something about Jim's acting in their scenes that year that indicated that to me--but backed off because of Bo. And THANK YOU so much for those pictures!
  6. The first one, mostly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljAN9IFI7bk&feature=related
  7. It was because of their kids, Frank and Leslie. They had been living with Luna's relatives on their farm in NC after they had been kidnapped, presumed dead, then rescued. Basically, JFP treated Max like a deadbeat dad (Al was living with Gabrielle after she was released from prison by this time), and they stayed with them until after Al died and Max went to raise them himself. Because it was revealed at Asa's funeral that he lived in Argentina, I've always fanwanked it that he moved there after Gabrielle's death to carry on her memory, her death devastating him more than he ever thought possible, given what he felt after losing Luna.
  8. Anyone else remember this? I was kind of hoping I'd imagined it at one point. Fred Schneider rocks as always, though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amk8CX4L0hE
  9. I don't think so. I remember another Gabrielle fan on a LONG defunct board saying years ago that their final scene in 1991 may have been one with KW's Tina slapping Gabby in the face, either after the stuff with Carlo came out, or after the prison sentence was delivered (maybe even after her infidelity in her marriage to Max was revealed, too). Max was never referred to as mourning Gabrielle's death, either. Bastards. At least it was revealed he had moved to Argentina at Asa's funeral, after having moved to North Carolina in 2003. Take THAT, Luna!
  10. I've never gotten the impression that a lot of fans hated her. Maybe there's a split group, but she certainly has a large number of fans (including me, of course). Even with her replacing a Japanese-American actress, I always got the impression that her being in the role left a strong enough memory that she became the "real" Blair in every way.
  11. My favorite line so far was one a poster left on Taegan Goddard's Political Wire: "Go ahead. Make my dementia." Yeah, it's kind of sick, but it made me laugh.
  12. So Clint Eastwood's speech last night...who else felt their brain melt down during that?

  15. Dan Quayle's son Ben got defeated in his primary last night (he was elected to Congress in 2010): http://politicalwire.com/archives/2012/08/29/schweikert_defeats_quayle_in_primary_battle.html
  16. Oh okay, I understand. Interesting. And yeah, somehow I don't think Starship would have EVER allowed their song to be used by the GOP (just like Springsteen didn't allow Reagan to use "Born in the U.S.A.," Bobby McFerrin didn't allow Bush Sr. to use "Don't Worry, Be Happy," and Heart didn't allow the McCain campaign to use "Barracuda" for Sarah Palin).
  17. Is it really? I had no idea. As a side note, that's actually one of my favorite songs. I don't care how many people will laugh at me for saying that.
  18. Dale, those Fiona pictures are AWESOME. SO jealous of you right now, I'd LOVE to get her autograph someday. Thanks for posting those!

  23. Edited because I misunderstood the convention story. Courtesy of Political Wire: Here are the highlights of the Republican convention schedule: Monday: RNC Chair Reince Priebus gavels in the convention at 2:00 pm ET. No speakers planned. Tuesday: Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval, Former Rep. Artur Davis, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, Ann Romney, and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie with the keynote address. Wednesday: Tim Pawlenty, Mike Huckabee, Condoleeza Rice, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez and Rep. Paul Ryan. Thursday: Sen. Marco Rubio and Mitt Romney.
  24. "The Republican Party needs to re-establish its philosophy of the big tent with principles. The philosophy you hear from time to time, which is unfortunate, is one of exclusion rather than inclusion. You have to be expanding the base, expanding the party, because compared to the Democratic Party, the Republican Party is a minority party." -- Former Vice President Dan Quayle, quoted by the New York Times. ...Well I do believe Hell has just frozen over here, folks.
