  1. So...this happened, courtesy of our Speaker of the House. http://www.speaker.gov/general/12-taylor-swift-reactions-president-obamas-free-college-idea
  2. OMG I love these early scenes with them. The background music is great, too. Paul Rauch knew his sh!t in that department.
  3. I finally watched Truth or Dare on Netflix recently, and looked up the full version of Like a Virgin they showed in the movie. Awesome. The cops in Toronto wanted to arrest her because of this :
  4. Haha, yes I did see that sketch! Not to mention Taylor's approval of it, too. I have joked in the past about how despite being born in 1989, I was already 24 by the time "22" was released as a single (and 23 when the album Red came out), so I will never have a song by her to sing on my birthday that has my appropriate age as the title. I know, life is hard.
  5. Guys, my 26th birthday is on February 28th, and after thinking about it for quite awhile, I think I am going to ask for the deluxe version of 1989 for my birthday. I'm not sure what I'll think of every song--I detest "Shake It Off", but I love "Blank Space"--but after hearing the samples on iTunes again, I think I want to finally take the plunge and hear it for myself. And yes, I want the deluxe version from Target. What can I say? I'm a completist. I might even ask for another of her albums or two--I like some of her songs on Speak Now and Red especially. With Spotify out of the question, I have to go hardcore here. Also, if it hasn't been mentioned before, "Style", the third single, will be released on February 10th.
  6. Well, this is tasteless: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/11333917/Bill-Cosby-enlists-Nelson-Mandela-in-fight-to-save-career.html
  7. She does. I'm just glad she's clean and sober now. She was so beautiful back in the day, and even with the extra weight, it looks like she still is.
  8. Rashad's now claiming she never said "forget these women", and that she was misquoted. She'll be on Nightline tomorrow night: http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/phylicia-rashad-claims-she-was-misquoted-in-bill-cosby-interview-201571
  9. Someone at another thread posted an article with an...interesting interview Phylicia Rashad did last April where Cosby's name came up: http://2paragraphs.com/2014/11/phylicia-rashads-strange-distance-from-bill-cosby/
  10. This has never been more appropriate than right now, as it's how I'm trying to be and what I would say to her:
  11. Someone needs to come up with a "Bye Felicia" gif with Rashad's spelling on it right now, because that's where I'm at with her.
  12. Ugh, so frustrating.
  13. Keshia Knignt Pulliam is fired from Celebrity Apprentice for not reaching out to Cosby for a donation: http://www.people.com/article/keshia-knight-pulliam-celebrity-apprentice-bill-cosby-donald-trump ETA: I just read the article further--this was taped way before these allegations came out in November, and Keshia was on the Today show to say this (Sorry the font is so big--I couldn't fix it):
  14. I agree. I absolutely believe that Cosby is guilty as sin, but at the same time, it IS possible, with a number this big, to find someone who might be making their story up. Nonetheless, I believe the majority, if not all, of the women who have come forward are telling the truth. As for Captain Ozarks... I have a lot of family from that part of Arkansas and grew up in a rural part of Maryland, so I'm often very sensitive to people assuming that everyone from those sort of areas are braindead hillbillies or rednecks (I certainly don't see myself that way!), but I know what you're saying here.
  15. Resisting the urge to make an Ann Coulter is a man and/or tranny joke in 3, 2... I'm weak, people.
  16. Ann Coulter is basically an Internet troll, the only difference being that since she's on TV, we actually know what she looks like. 10 years ago, although some might have already caught on to her act, she might have gotten some traction, but that power has long since evaporated.
  17. Is Justin dressed as Hanky the Christmas Poo from South Park? I LOVE that Sam Smith is there. He's my new favorite artist.
  18. Toups, you have to let us know if you're one of the fans Taylor sends a Christmas gift to. That is, if you don't drop dead from shock first.
  19. How could you possibly forget the gorgeous David Muir? But yes, Cosby is finished, no doubt.
  20. I mean, there ARE things like Midol or Pamprin, but women can use Tylenol or Motrin or something like that as well. I still believe her, 100 percent.
  21. Hell yes. Get him, girl.
  22. I'm kind of amazed he didn't thank Stacey Dash, given that she was the first celebrity on Twitter to defend him.
  23. I just saw this for the first time. Taylor covers Vance Joy's "Riptide":
  24. The reason Taylor didn't star in a biopic about Joni Mitchell? Because two years ago, Joni wouldn't allow it (although she may been criticizing the book the movie would have been based on more than Taylor herself) : http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/joni-mitchell-reveals-why-she-nixed-taylor-swift-starring-biopic-20141125
  25. Darlene is Luna's birth name, yes. She chose the name Luna once she began practicing her New Age religion (was it Wiccan or Pagan? I'm not sure)--Luna is Latin for moon. Her brothers always called her Darlene, though. And AFAIK, Susan wasn't pregnant IRL. I don't think she and her husband have any kids.
