CNN has come under fire for suggesting it will publish the identity of a private citizen if he behaves in a way that displeases the network.
Andrew Kaczynski, senior editor of CNN’s KFile, discovered the identity of the Reddit user who made a short video of President Trump tackling a man with CNN’s logo superimposed on his face to the ground.
CNN is withholding the man’s identity “because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again,” Mr. Kaczynski wrote in an article published Tuesday night.
“CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change,” he continued.

i don't think they "consistently" vote red, it's always a switch during the POTUS races, but even the bluest states go red during state elections (Mass.)

Maxine Waters: Ben Carson 'doesn't care about people in public housing'
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) ripped into Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson in a speech Saturday, saying Carson “doesn’t care about people in public housing.”
“[Carson] knows nothing about the mission of HUD,” Waters said in a speech at the Essence Festival in New Orleans. “He doesn’t care about people in public housing. He believes that if you are poor, it is your own fault. And he doesn’t know the difference between an immigrant and a slave.”
Waters was referring to Carson’s remarks at a March event for HUD employees in which he referred to slaves brought to America as “immigrants.”
“That’s what America is about. A land of dreams and opportunity,” Carson had said. “There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder for less.”
Carson also said in May that poverty was “a state of mind.”of course, what would a man who grew up in the inner city of Detroit possibly know about public housing

I actually voted for 2 GOP governors in this state years back who it turns out were culpable in the financial mess this state is in and a governor now who wants us to turn into Kansas, as if the state of Illinois is not in bad enough shape now. So I don't need any lectures on how awful democrats are but then I also don't need lectures on identity politics from people who are blind to the fact the GOP has used this for the last 60 years. As much as I disliked Bush even he did a couple of things I admired. The program @DramatistDreamer being one of them. Also how he attended those services in Washington at the Mosque to show his support of Muslims after 9/11(even if his policies didn't). But I can't get over the venom people have for people not like them. I admit to being appalled by some of the policies in this country over the past maybe 20 peoples(yes even under Obama) but I always felt the people in this country had compassion. Now it's all about blaming black and brown people and yes women and targeting them for the most hurtful legislation and programs over guess who.
My dad a veteran who fought in WW2, was at Buchenwald concentration camp in Germany and saw the horrors they committed against their fellow people(he never talked about it until he was much older), and we are reliving parts of this. Yes I know much of this is not new to many black and brown people, but it's never been so open and accepted. I am ashamed of our country and to be an American now. I never believed I would reach that day.
Well then I have no words if that's true. You have a political party who has actively worked against black people for 60 years(and yes the democrats have their issues) and a blatant racist in the white house now intent on enacting anything that destroys any kind of legacy the first black president has. But hey if you can sleep at night that's all that matters.
