We have Ben on the show as the hero of Salem. They can find a way to keep Charlie around.

I like Kate and Jake as well. I don't think that's an unpopular opinion. I have zero interest in seeing Jake with Gabi. I don't ever need Missy Reeves back. Cady McClain has been a great Jennifer. I forget that she's even a recast - she fits right in.

What a boring Friday episode. I was expecting followup with Rafe showing up at Charlie's door, Ava telling Kayla she has another son, etc. Instead they totally killed the momentum with that story and we got Kristen in prison being jealous over Chloe and this stupid baby snatching story.

I just watched the last couple of episodes. Anna has been the highlight. So fun. I want Kate and Jake to work things out 🥺 Will's return was really pointless lol. The thing people would've cared about most was seeing him with Marlena, and that was likely cut.

Coronavirus/Covid-19 Discussion Thread
This doesn't surprise me. The hospital system I work for has 30,000 employees (at least 75% of which have signed up to get the vaccine). This week only 400 employees were able to get vaccinated because that's all we were given. So now we're waiting to get Moderna vaccines so we can hopefully get more people (myself included) vaccinated.

LOL. A while back in Michigan, when restaurant lobbies were open, they wanted each customer who dined in the restaurant to provide their phone number for contact tracing purposes. People were in an uproar about how they have a right to their privacy and won't be giving out their phone number. These are the same exact people who jumped at the chance to join Parler and give out their SSN. Idiots.

How am I supposed to go to bed when Biden is so close to taking Georgia?! I can't wait to see what's happening when I wake up tomorrow. I think it'll be a good day.

Over 5700 new cases in Michigan today. Our previous record was about 4100, which was just yesterday. It's getting horrible here.

Yes. This. I feel like this isn't too much to ask for. Trump is just embarrassing.

I just love living in West Michigan where a lot of people think like this. https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/14/us/michigan-sheriff-militias/index.html

I live in a very conservative town in Michigan and it's scary to see that some people are CONDONING the militia that plotted to kidnap Whitmer. I'm already hearing a whole lot of, "Well she asked for it by being a bad governor." (She's a "bad" governor because she wants people to wear masks.) Other comments I've heard are, "She has pushed these people to the edge, what else are they supposed to do?" Others are just calling it fake news put out by the liberal media. 🙄

My Trump-obsessed coworker says the polls are fake and if Biden wins it will only because of fraudulent mail-in ballots (yet he says the results will be legit if Trump wins). I wonder what it's like to live in an alternate reality like that.

I cannot wait for this man to be out of office. Telling people that Covid is nothing to be afraid of is flat out DANGEROUS. I work at a hospital and am around Covid patients every day. These people are sick. They don't have the luxury of being tested every day and catching it early. They only get tested once they are symptomatic and have to wait sometimes days for results. They don't get to be admitted to the hospital as a "precaution." They only get admitted once they're sick enough to warrant it. They don't get experimental drugs. They don't have an entire medical team dedicated solely to providing them 24/7 care. Some of them die. Some of them say their goodbyes to their family through an iPad. They're not going out for SUV rides while crowds of people cheer them on. Trump has no idea what Covid is like for the average person. He has learned nothing. He must go.

Perhaps Trump will inject himself with bleach to expedite his recovery.

Why don't these people just do curbside pickup so they don't have to wear a mask inside the store? I swear these anti-maskers have zero brain cells.

It frustrates me to see how many people don't seem to understand how gloves work. I keep seeing people at the store who wear gloves, touch the cart, touch everything on the shelves, and then touch their face, but they think they're protected because they're wearing gloves. Like no. Gloves don't magically kill the germs on whatever your touching. They're just as dirty as your hands unless you change them every time you touch something.

Nope, at least not at the hospital system I work for.

Coronavirus/Covid-19 Discussion Thread
I work in a hospital and right now we're provided with one surgical mask that we wear until it is "saturated with blood or other bodily fluids" (that is the wording on our policy). We keep wearing the same mask even if we wore it into the room of a Covid-positive patient. We're required to wear the mask for our entire shift too (not just when with patients), so it's just nasty by the end of the day, much less by the end of the week. We have a few pairs of goggles for the whole hospital. I think we're supposed to be getting face shields that Ford is producing. I don't think we've had an issue with gloves yet, and our gowns are washable so I think we're okay there. We're using hand sanitizer that was produced and donated by a local company because we're out otherwise. Saw a news story today that nurses from Kalamazoo, MI are being forced to go work with Covid patients in Detroit. They get an extra $2 an hour for doing this and PPE is not guaranteed. So glad to see these nurses getting such a great incentive for the work they're doing. 🙄 https://www.woodtv.com/health/coronavirus/rep-kzoo-nurses-very-upset-over-forced-move-to-detroit/

I work at a hospital in Michigan. We desperately need PPE. Each employee gets one surgical mask - not one mask per patient or per day - just one mask. We wear it into every patient's room for days or weeks until it gets soaked with bodily fluids. Under normal circumstances, we'd get a new mask every time we enter a patient's room. We're out of our normal hand sanitizer and have started using sanitizer that Amway made this week for the sole purpose of donating it to hospitals. We're also almost out of cleaning wipes. The numbers keep growing, so the shortages are only going to get worse in the coming weeks.

For real. I work at a hospital and we're reaching out to churches to see if anyone wants to sew masks for us.

Degrassi: The Next Generation
Just finished the season. I'm glad that Lola's abortion is something that can actually be acknowledged and discussed on the show, whereas with Manny's it happened and then was never spoken of again. Maya's story was actually pretty good, but I never needed to see her sister again. Zoe's mom... what a bitch! Zoe and Rasha are cute, and I'm glad Goldi got fleshed out a little more.
