Revenge: Discussion Thread
I think Ems needed a break and that's why her memory loss was more psychological than physiological. Daniel's father is not "loyal" at all. It's all about saving the name, more than saving his offspring. I still love how Daniel and Charlotte support one another, but truly believe the worst in each parent. Charlotte believes that her mother could be a murderer, while Daniel just sees his father as this horrible evil and pathetic man. Both Patrick AND Nolan aren't right for each other. They are both so willing to support Victoria and Emily over being with one another. Which does make sense to me. They haven't known each other for very long and as much as folks want those two together forever, they have more of an emotional stake in standing by their friend and long-lost mother. Loved the Emily gained her memory back, by Jack talking about Amanda and giving her that locket. If Emily could just hold onto the good memories that she has of the folks that loved her (her father and Amanda), then maybe she could make it out of herobsession mentally whole. She's losing herself and I think she would let herself be destroyed in order to finally get back at them all. Now, she's got to deal with another woman wanting Aiden. I enjoyed how Victoria was ready to beat Lydia down for spilling red wine on her chair. Loved it.

I don't get it either. This continued and never ending bullying of JP hasn't instilled any "brilliant and fascinating" drama for me. I'm still just amazed that the show has gone out of their way to make sure, crystal clear and that no viewer is mistaken about the domestic abuse situation that Maxine is currently going through with Patrick. The show isn't willing to ride the "epic bandwagon" that kept Stendan thriving and Ste being assaulted by his lover for over three years and seen as love by the audience.

I'm just glad that somebody is final letting Olli have some "forbidden love" again on the soap. It's become tiresome to have somebody as nice, attractive, sane and hot as Olli, just standing around supporting the other characters messy lives, while he stays the ever faithful husband to a serial cheater character who's off screen for 10 months out of the year.

Well, I knew it had to be Daniel. Emily/Amanda has been screwing with his heart and mind for over two years now. The one woman, that truly loved him (without any manipulation), ends up trying to commit suicide and he finds out that his wife lied about being pregnant! He was already liquored up, depressed and feeling guilt about betraying Sara and Emily. I wonder how he didn't see Aiden drug and take Victoria off the deck though? Here in NYC, we had a breaking news bulletin, during the reveal of something in Nolan's desk by Patrick. What was it? Loved that Aiden turned into a "Groomzilla" regarding the return of Lydia. "Nobody is going to destroy my wedding day".

OMG. Now, whenever that woman's featured, all I'm going to see is Wanda. Oh goodness. As for Tara and Amina, I just don't get why they both haven't kicked pathetic Gunz to the gutter and keep their individual lives going forward? This so-called man/business manager has how many women that are raising or have raised his kids, but they're still wasting their lives and futures on him? Has there ever been one man featured on this show, that actually does what he professes to want to be: an actual man, who provides for his family, children and is faithful to the woman in his life? I look at these shows and wonder why these women subject themselves to this treatment?

I just watched two of the most recent episodes of this program. What are these women seeing in these loser ass and so-called "business managers" Dollarz and Gunz? Amina marries Peter, who doesn't want anybody to know about the marriage, due to his OTHER "relationship" with his girlfriend/mother of his two boys. Gets a tattoo of her married last name on her body, buys the rings, because of broke ass manager/secret husband cannot afford to purchase those things on his own and sees that he can't do crap for her "career" at all and that's supposed to show how strong she is "as a woman"?!

Doctor Who
I spent almost the entire weekend watching everything and anything that dealt with celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who. I haven't always been a fan of the "special episodes", but DOTD was a wonderfully funny, touching and exciting story that focused on the inner turmoil over what the "War Doctor" had done and how Ten and Eleven tried to run, forget and distance themselves from it. I love John Hurt and I'm glad that Moffat was able to get an actor of his caliber and talent to portray that role. I do hope that in 25 years time, "My Doctor Nine" aka Chris Eccelston will rethink his position on not being involved in the history, longevity and celebration of DW and his role in the reboot from 2005. If he doesn't, it will never take away my love of the show or my love for his short, but effective portrayal as the depressed, time weary Nine. In the first part of DOTD, Kate does mention that her assistant is her daughter. I didn't catch her name though. Hopefully, both of those characters will be involved in the new Doctor's journey, when he's introduced. I'm glad that Billie Piper was apart of this anniversary special, especially since she wasn't Rose, but the image/essence of her. I'm also glad that she didn't at all interact with Ten. I think it would have turned the storyline into another thing that some viewers would see as another validation of the love story between those two characters. Ten's Rose is in her alternative universe with Handy and that's where she should stay. For a series, that had the misfortune of premiering on the day after President John F. Kennedy had been assassinated, Doctor Who has made its mark in all of time and space and the entire world. 50 years is an amazing thing to achieve. I read an article that stated that 77 million people watched the special on Saturday.

I'm not sure. I thought that church wasn't even in the village. It's been so long ago. That's the thing about all these exits. As a result of Doug and Leanne's deaths, Dodger's the only one left alive to know that Texas' murderer has finally been caught. As for Anna, Dirk should be more torn up over knowing that his son killed his own mother. I think there's another chance for Patrick's secret to be revealed in the future. I think it'll be connected to Sienna and her kidnapping of Tom. That poor boy, really thinks that the cops came after him like that, due to Darren's "death".

That was a very strange moment and I'm glad that Ste wasn't all "I finally got my daddy back" in the next episode. He was standoffish, especially when Danny didn't initially tell Sam or Peri about who he really was to him. I'm enjoying Lindsey, Cindy and Mercedes joining forces to keep Browning's murder from being revealed. I wonder who's going to be the first to crack?

German soaps: GZSZ, UU & AWZ
Amen. Joscha and Deniz have no chemistry and Denis could barely tolerate being around Joscha. I hope that the writers develop something good for Joscha and the new guy and don't try to create something as a "instant couple". I want to see it develop onscreen.

Another interview with Kieron. http://www.soapsquawk.co.uk/news/kieron-richardson-celebrates-hollyoaks-18th-birthday.php#results I swear, he's going to turn into Hollyoaks' version of Tony Geary in a couple of years and will start to place the blame on his fan base for not wanting to see Ste grow away from the past history of Stendan and Brendan Brady. It's weird, limiting and undermines everything that the show attempts to do for the character and his future. Now, I'm not the biggest fan of the Ste Hay character, but people (especially Kieron) are reacting like he never existed, had a purpose or storyline before Brendan Brady showed up.

Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
The Later specials are always only five episodes. I find it interesting that Kieron says those things in print, while during the actual show, the writers have his character doing the exact opposite. Does the show, the writers and Kirkwood care that Kieron undermines what they have written for Ste's onscreen storyline, by saying that he feels the opposite about his character's actions?

Glee: Discusion Thread
Well, I'm glad that the show focused on his family's grief during the beginning section of last night's episode. The pain that a parent experiences, in having to deal with the death of a child is heartbreaking. When she talked about, how do you breathe and that regardless of the loss of your child, you never stop being a parent. Lots of great and honest moments in the episode.

The part in bold is from viewers that swear they are Kieron/Ste fans, but with every storyline that separates Ste from living FOR the memory of Brendan, they end up hating it. Especially, since the show has (in their opinion) pissed on all their support of the show and it is "nothing" without Emmett's presence. Kieron's just truly screwed.

Tyler Perry's 'Haves and Have Nots' on OWN
Maybe, when January 2014 comes around, David will have grown a backbone and tell Veronica that he'll always love, support and chose his gay son, over any crazy ideal on what a "real heterosexual man supposedly is" in her mind. Yet, he'll have to stop trying to "fix" Jim and his messy life, in order to achieve his (or is it Veronica's) goal of going into politics, in order for that to happen.

Tyler Perry's 'Haves and Have Nots' on OWN
This episode made the entire first season for me. Perry let Wyatt use his brain and trapped Creeper Jeffrey perfectly. Right up until he hit him with the golf club. Did anyone else see him try and plead his case to Wyatt to keep him from leaving?
