  1. I had a feeling that maternity leave came at a very convenient time for Patsy. It would weird seeing her surrounded by Americans.
  2. Don't get my mental typewriter going with that idea, Carl! Erica Kane and bisexual brother Mark would have been quite a pair! They would have torn that town up. I wonder if/how Erica would be different today if she had a close friend/confidante through the years instead of always being such an antagonist. Mark always had her back, but that was more family that friendship. I think I know the one you mean. I've seen the upbeat version, with the kettle drums and brass fanfare going on, signifying that those folks were ABC Daytime royalty (of course no one there to represent for The City!).
  3. I posted this one in the soap hunk pictorial thread, and everyone said his junk looked bizarre Still my type of guy in pretty much every way Brother and sister
  4. I think we might have at least an allusion to Nick. Just keep reminding yourself that it's Agnes and Lorraine handling the end! Erica having a late in life child would have been HORRIBLE. Yikes. I can't even imagine late 90s/early 00s Erica worried about raising a kid. That would have probably ruined her viability big time. Not that that sort of thing automatically ruins viability, but for Erica? And not that she had all of these huge stories anyway, but again...for Erica? No indeed. She had her hands full with teen/20something Bianca and then Kendall's return, not to mention the grandbabies. The only wish I have for Erica in regards to motherhood is that she'd had a son with Tom. In my own little alternate AMC universe, Erica and Tom would have had a son who was primarily raised by Tom (because somehow Erica still would have had a modeling career after giving birth), and that son in grown up form would have been Josh, and they'd have sort of an early Adam/Alexis-type relationship. Twas not meant to be, I guess.
  5. Mark La Mura is def one of the most attractive men in all of AMC history. It is a nice picture, but do a Google Images search and find out that the whole picture is even better And yall are trippin! I haven't come across any pictures or scenes where he looks awful, besides the intervention stuff. Mark's become one of my favorites through watching so many old episodes. I just like his personality and energy a lot, he's a very bouncy guy, but he's a good, decent man. I didn't realize how long he was on and off with the coke...I thought that was something they came up with when he returned in '86, but as early as 1983 he was snorting lines and then having wild cokehead sex with an unsuspecting Ellen right after. I hope they do remember him. I wish Mark was around during the last ten years. Yeah, they probably would have ruined him like they ruined most everybody else, but he would have had a very interesting role throughout the baby switch, the unabortion, and other stories. I'm just immensely glad MMT of all people decided he needed to be there for Erica's intervention and the 35th anniversary.
  6. I'm gonna buy some combat boots and demand access to ABC's archive of AMC episodes. I refuse to believe all of the "Mrs. Lum"/Phoebe stuff was wiped.
  7. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/9xKkSSKmjbk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Yall are all invited to the wedding
  8. Speaking of characters' theme songs...nothing beats Erica's modeling fantasy song. I'd be totally okay with Erica's last scene (not the show's last scene) being some kind of self-accepting/self-validating/self-loving thing, then she struts off with the theme playing. ETA: "400 minutes of contiguous Erica scenes" really makes me...excited. I'm watching all 40 parts as soon as I finish watching all of HB's full AMC and OLTL episodes.
  9. *worships Pine Charles* I just want all 1977-1985 episodes in my personal possession. I swear I'd let yall watch 'em sometimes.
  10. Gorgeous in every single way, both of them. SuLu with the 70s hoops and still an "ethnic type," Dick with the intense hair and eyes. One of the most stunningly beautiful soap couples of all time. Thank goodness they stopped junking the episodes before (or shortly after) Tom's introduction. I'm seeing alllll of their romance one day, don't know how, but I will.
  11. OMFG PSYCHOFAN!!!!!!!
  12. OK, so now all of the songs on Femme Fatale that I didn't like at first have grown on me. Especially Trip to Your Heart and How I Roll.
  13. I'd go back to liking her instead of being apathetic toward her if this were the real thing. Judas...meh. The chorus sounds a lot like Bad Romance, except...idk...she sorta mumbles and mushmouths her way through Judas. I wish she'd leave religion alone just because whether or not you believe, it's a total mood killer.
  14. Ugly/creepy/weird/scary
  15. OMG China, Autumn, and Tchantal. I loved it whenever Lily would say their names in her autistic voice. And didn't she want to be a Hot Girl too? Oooh lord.
  16. Thanks for all of your stuff, Carl. I always feel like I don't thank you enough I've never bought that MEK was happy in soaps, to be honest. He always looks like he's settled. He's content, he's okay. But he still thinks about when/where his chances of mainstream stardom slipped out of his hands forever.
  17. I swear to you I have that Ruth Warrick "I pooped up the line" look on my face right now. I love those nosy late 60s/early 70s yearbook-style articles like that, it's just that the shorthand they use make them a little confusing.
  18. WTF Anthony Ponzini is "married, but he's still looking for Right Girl." They gave not one single damn in the 60s, did they?
  19. I had no idea Marcia and Larkin were an item. I wonder if that's the finger Mark La Mura meant to stick up
  20. I just realized how funny that Babe/Bianca picture looks on top of the Joe/Kate one. It looks like Joe's telling Kate about Babe and Bianca having an affair, and poor Kate's trying to process the information before her head explodes. I think he's gotten a bit more macho since then. His face was still very soft and boyish in that picture, but now he looks a bit more tougher. Still very good-looking, though.
  21. Reggie & Dani I weep for what could have been with those two. Wade and Phoebe always makes me laugh because of how drunk off her ass she was at the wedding. Daniel Cosgrove was a gorgeous man at his peak.
  22. Lillian Hayman as the Statue of Liberty is too adorable. I get livid when I think of how they disrespected her. I rolled my eyes at that Starr/Travis story, but Connor Paolo grew up to be foine. 1987, Cliff Warner and the Temple of Doom era
  23. Here it is, at the beginning of this clip: "You had the nerve to go snooping in my things!?" "I had to because it seems to be the ONLY WAY TO GET THE TRUTH OUT OF YOU!!!!!!" The first time I ever saw it was on that Biography special A&E did for AMC in '03. I FELL IN LOVE with 70s AMC thanks to that special.
  24. I'd love to see all of the Sensuelle/Kingsley stuff. It's been ages since I've seen PJ, but I'll have to find it one day just to get a load of Steve's pants Ooooh, okay, now that you mention it, I do remember the spread you posted. David Canary's little blurb up there is really special, the part about how playing Stuart with Erica/Susan allowed him to let his real feelings for Susan come out on screen. DC always talked about how he loved playing Stuart, and I think that's the very reason why. As Adam, he had to be gruff and mean, but as Stuart, he could be nice and sweet and really intimate with his scene partners. I really think killing Stuart off is at the top of the list of why so many AMC cast members are quick to voice their disapproval of Pratt's run.
