  1. I'm in the middle of season 2 of RHONY and I never realized in all my viewings that Bethenny really did start the feud with Kelly. Of course you forget that and overlook it because Kelly became unhinged, but she really did attempt to be nice to her. Bethenny is going on about minor things that happened two years prior when Kelly has never mentioned anything negative about her, nor did she mention that particular incident. Then when they ran into each other at a fashion show Kelly attempted to be nice and Bethenny was jumping out of her skin the entire time. She played her card wrong and it made her look petty and bitchy. Had Kelly not been insane this would've been a BAD season for her. Now I kinda wish Kelly wasn't crazy because we never really got to see Bethenny on the negative side of a feud. For her to lash out like that, Cynthia must not be giving her the reaction the wants. She probably wants drama from Cynthia or some sort of attention, but my guess is she isn't getting it from ANY of the ladies.
  2. Miss Piggy at that dinner table was CLASSIC! I thought Vicki looked good early in the season and I love her clothes and hairstyle, but her face truly looked like it was melting. She will forever be the greatest housewife because she truly is authentic and lets it all hang out. No way she was acting and looking that tore down. I love me some Vicki! <3 I must say, I've never cared for Lizzie and this didn't do anything to change that for me. I think she's lying about the Eddie thing, especially since Heather is claiming to have heard it as well. I think her reasons for blowing up at Tamra are sketchy. I feel like Shannon is the main one who should've been coming for Tamra and honestly, probably Heather as well. The first half of this season Tamra tried to paint Heather as the villain, so I find it so shocking that Heather is her main ally now. It's weird. In closing I'll also add that this season needs 3 more episodes and they should've edited Danielle into the season. If she made it to every dinner and the cast trip she was obviously intended to be a housewife and filmed just as much. It got a little boring after a while (we can't expect Shannon to carry the entire show) and I'm sure her stuff couldn't have been more boring than some of the stuff we saw. The bizarre editing out of Danielle has made this season feel incomplete and choppy. It's not like they filmed someone and she didn't do or say anything, she clearly is involved in these stories but we aren't seeing it. There had to be a reason Tamra was saying she would do anything to be on TV and how awful she was. Can't wait to see a RHOC reunion sneak peek.
  3. She is just nuts lol. Refusing to answer if Apollo appears on RHOA?! I knew in season 3 she wasn't all there when she lied about when he baby was conceived. She had to be involved with Apollo while he was in prison. None of her story adds up if you look at it, not even closely, but just in broad strokes. Like Gina told Andrea on RHOMelbourne, all Phaedra has is a deck of cards which is about to topple. I would've gotten my ass off tv ages ago.
  4. Have yall been keeping up with Phaedra's Angela Stanton court case? I don't think it'll happen overnight, but Phaedra's ass definitely looks headed for the slammer within the next few years. For those not familiar, Angela Stanton attempted to release a tell-all book about her illegal dealings with Apollo and Phaedra. When the news broke Phadra sued her and had the book pulled from the shelves. Angela has always maintained that her book is truthful so she has chosen to fight Phaedra in court, which is clearly not what Phaedra wanted. The latest chapter is that Phaedra has gone through several lawyers who keep dropping the case. She's also been refusing to sit for a deposition for months now, even though SHE is the one who has brought this lawsuit to court. Now they were finally able to force her to sit for one and she made an absolute fool of herself as you'll see below. She was evasive, combative and obviously trying to watch what she says so it won't come back to bite her in the ass. Of course it's only my opinion, but based on this and everything else you cannot convince me Phaedra wasn't involved. She should've let that book come out and dismiss it as foolishness because now she's stuck in a high profile court battle that is only going to draw attention to her issues. For all we know the feds could be developing a case behind the scenes. Anyway, here are some snippets from Phaedra's deposition: She goes on to say she doesn't know how much she makes from Nida Fitness, she doesn't know where the money came from (whether it was her money or Apollo's), she doesn't know what Nida Fitness offers or what Apollo does. It is just bizarre for such an "upstanding" attorney. 5. After watching that fabulous episode I mentioned earlier, i decided to go back to YRfan's reposts and start from the beginning. Lots of juicy stuff! Since I started in the late 90s this is mostly new to me. I had no idea that Dru wasn't interested in Neil and was trying to get with Nathan. It's also interesting to see just how good Victoria Rowell is. It's obvious why Dru became as popular as she was. The structure of the show is also fantastic. People in retrospect have said that Dru/Neil/Malcolm/Liv were isolated, but I don't think that is true at all. Of course they weren't allowed interracial pairings, but that is not Bill Bell's fault. These characters (plus Mamie, who is wonderfully used) were all over the canvas and didn't feel like after-thoughts. I don't think Tonya Lee Williams gets enough credit for how good she is as well. She is truly one of Y&R's best leading ladies. I look forward to watching more of this so I can see how it all unfolds! I also must say that Brenda Epperson is the best Ashley. I don't wanna hear it. I like Eileen as Kristen, but besides her stint on B&B, her Ashley has mostly been a bore.
  6. I think that New Jersey news is complete BS. They are like 4 episodes into the season and won't start filming until November for the next season. Plus Jacqueline is a regular cast member on Caroline's spin-off. I don't really believe that. They were the first to return after being fired. This is from WWHL: I think Alex fell out of favor with Bravo when she turned them down to return for season 5, as a Friend.
  7. LOL I'm trying to give this woman the benefit of the doubt. I just find it so nuts because Mario has been *so* public about this from the beginning. In retrospect, Ramona should've forced him to issue a public apology in order to consider moving on. He has managed to avoid the brunt of things by not addressing it in the press. I wonder how his relationship is with Avery. Now some interesting gossip that I 100% believe: Bravo is trying to get Jill and Bethenny back: http://allthingsrh.com/report-bethenny-frankel-jill-zarin-talks-return-rhony-season-7/ Granted it's from Radar, but we've seen all of the seeds planted for this for months now. I don't expect Bethenny back as a full-housewife, but if Bravo tells her the only way she can get her own show is to do RHONY again, she will do it. Also, Ramona on why the ratings are down: http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/confidential/alternative-wifestyles-hurt-new-york-singer-article-1.1891667 SO TRUE! They fired too many of the originals and are paying for it. I just wish Alex could return in this big reunion season.
  8. The reunion was filmed in June. I strongly believe she had no idea at the time that he had started up again. Keep in mind she filmed for divorce in January, they reconciled publicly in April and the reunion was in June. I could see her not thinking he was up to anything so soon after they reunited.
  9. Wow. He is a total dog. He waited til the reunion was over so she wouldn't trash him on TV and then he started back up. Wow!
  10. Glad Andrea isn't returning on Melbourne. I liked Claudia Jordan on Celebrity Apprentice, but I'm not sure how I feel about her on Atlanta Housewives. When you have someone like Marlo in the sidelines who is already developing a friendship with Kenya, I can't understand why they aren't going with her. I'll never be satisfied until she's a housewife.
  11. RHONY Note: The second part reunion was the highest rated episode of the season. I think Bravo has handled things well by ignoring the press of bad ratings and continuing the hype the season until the very end. Giving them a 3 part reunion also makes it look like a bigger success. I think they can bounce back next year if they don't want too long to bring the show back. Oh I can't agree. Ramona has done this REPEATEDLY and even brought her kid into it by re-tweeting Victoria's YouTube video. THAT is low, bringing LuAnn's child into it. Ramona is my favorite, but she got exactly what she deserved. I wish LuAnn had gone Nene/Phaedra on her ass and eviscerated her with details of the pregnancy and abortion. All Ramona had to do is say that had a rough patch, but have worked through it and the ladies have been supportive. Done. Nothing else needed to be said. By dodging the question she made it the entire focus of most of the episode.
  12. Looks like RHOMelbourne did good for it's Sunday timeslot with very, very little promo (and no mention on WWHL). It's up 40% in viewers and demo from the average for the month of July in those timeslots. LINK: http://bravoratings.com/2014/08/02/real-housewives-of-melbourne-season-1/ If it could get that with no promo at noon they should try airing it at nighttime. See, I may not care for Danielle, but the obvious editing her out of the season has made it choppy. I feel it would've been a longer season and easier to understand had they left her stuff in.
  13. And honestly, even if people are missing them, I'm pretty sure Jacqueline will be a regular on Manzo'd With Children, so you can still see all of those people very soon. If anything, this is like a supersized Housewives show.
  14. I just finished RHONJ and I don't understand the complaints. The show is the best it's been since season 3! To me this is better than the last season of ATL, BH and by the end I'm sure OC. I don't think the home-life scenes are boring for any of the wives (which is rare) and the confrontations are good. I LOVED the party fight! It had so many dynamics and I loved the husbands as well. I think this season is shaping up to be very good if this is only the 3rd or 4th episode.
  15. Well we know she was on recurring by choice and unlike other recurring actors, she always had contract screentime. I guess I'm not being clear--I realize they did use her as a supporting character, but my point is that she didn't do anything I'd consider memorable like in the 80s or 90s or on B&B. After B&B especially, it felt like such a cool-down. I thought she picked up steam with Michael, but the regime change killed both of those characters which leads us to today. Like you mention, they did do a GREAT job with Ashley on B&B so I wouldn't mind that for several Y&R characters, particularly Lauren.
  16. I'll give it to you that Lauren wasn't a bore for her entire return, but even in those early years I didn't find her too useful. Considering how popular she became with Michael I did think that was a step in the right direction, but as soon as they got married that is when it was 100% over for her. As soon as Sheila returned they seemed to give up. I wonder how she'd fare if she ever returned to B&B.
  17. Danielle has been tweeting and re-tweeting about how she should be on the show and Andy tweeted her back that they asked her back and she said no. They've asked her several times IIRC and she's always said no. One year they even invited her *just* to the reunion and she said no. I think the cast they have this season is great. Of course it would be EXPLOSIVE if Caroline and Jacqueline were around considering Dina is back, but I'm glad we're getting to see more of a normal housewives show instead of families being ripped apart. Amber is an obvious fame whore and along with her husband, they aren't very likable, but they're serving their purpose. Teresa is coming off well and I do find the scenes with her family to be very emotional. I also like that she's clearly making an effort to monitor her behavior in light of the sentencing. I understand what they did was wrong, but I do think compared to others they're going to grow from it. And I'm sorry, but Dina is the standout this season. She is fricking flawless. I can't get enough of her!
  18. Oh my god! Victoria Rowell is sublime in that episode. I guess she always brought that nuance to Dru and it looks like she always knew how to act. I didn't start watching til 1996 so that was a nice treat. The chemistry with John Abbott was just flawless. It's so sad these relationships were lost and forgotten. I also always loved Katherine and Dru. This entire episode was fantastic. The production values are, of course, stunning. The exterior shots of Cricket's office make me embarrassed for the dated shots they have now. The strong mix of characters made the episode go by fast because everyone served a purpose. Plus by focusing on relationships (Ashley/Traci is a good example) you care more and they can get more mileage as writers. Now these relationships either don't exist or are glossed over so you end up with repetitive scenes (like Villy or Colin/Jill now) of everyone coupled up going in circles until the next plot twist. I loved seeing Traci as an actual character and with some spunk. It seems like the character regressed from the spunky character she became back into this uber sweet Aunt who dishes out words of wisdom. I don't understand why she can't get a love interest when she is younger than Ashley and Jack and IMO more interesting than either of them. She has been rested and it's time for her to step forward again. ETA: Why the hell is Lauren so fricking fabulous while this Sheila stuff is happening, but now they have her as *the* most helpless victim whenever Sheila is mentioned?! My god. What the hell! It's so shocking to see how fabulous Lauren was when she has been such a bore since she returned to Y&R in the 00s.
  19. This is her 15th feature since 2013. That's not somebody Beyonce should be working with. Beyonce goes out of her way to create her own sound, work with her own producers and choreographers and NOT do what everyone else is doing. Working with Nicki helps Nicki, but it doesn't help Beyonce. It cheapens the brand IMO.
  20. That's terrible and ruins this previously flawless (no pun) campaign. She went from sampling Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie to rapping with Nicki Minaj about thots? And then the choice of Nicki Minaj, the safest, most overused rapper out right now. If Jessie J can get Nicki on a track then Beyonce needs to do better. Someone like Azealia Banks could've maintained the integrity of this song and taken it to another level. This is just overhyped trash that people are going to go crazy over.
  21. I just finished season one of RHONY again and despite the first couple episodes feeling dated (my guess is that was pilot material), it quickly became your typical housewives series. I love how natural things were but they still managed to have a good amount of drama. Who would've known that when Alex met Ramona in episode five it would spark such fireworks with Simon coming to girls night? These days that would never happen because they'd all be required to go to every party and be introduced at the same time. The natural developing friendships is what made season 2 and 3 so powerful. There was no fakery about how well they knew each other so we truly got to see them learn about each other and we got real reactions from everybody. The first reunion was also packed with fireworks, which shocked me since this was still early in the Housewives franchise. This is also when fame began to go to Jill's head. I think her wearing a "Team Jill" shirt to the reunion is the tackiest thing that ever happened on a reunion. You could tell she was feeling herself and it really was a huge turn off for me after loving her the entire season. Honestly, I would say RHONY holds up so well I could watch it over and over again. I also feel that way for RHOA.
  22. I'm not panicking about RHONJ yet. They're getting around 1.8 million viewers which is fine. I don't expect the ratings to blow up until viewers get to know the new housewives better. I'm surprised they aren't promoting next weeks hair-putting episode more.
  23. Nene is a good example..
  24. http://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-melbourne Such a waste! First Bravo drops promos during the social edition of RHONJ, then they wait almost a week to give it a page on the website and officially announce it, now it's set to premiere in 3 days in a horrible timeslot with back-to-back episodes. What was the point of buying the show if they had no intention of even attempting to gain viewers? Even if it got similar ratings to Ladies of London, that would be great for a show that is the cheapest on the network since they don't produce it. I'm also bitter because I think this Housewives show is legitimately good and could've gained a good amount of viewers.
  25. I don't find season one of NYC to be boring at all. It looks like it was filmed in 1995, but it is still very entertaining as an introduction. The dynamics are good, the storylines are interesting and it perfectly sets things up for the next season. I miss the more organic days of the housewives!
