  10. The World Of Oakdale is pulling out all the stops this February as its inaugural sweeps period begins. Executive Producer and Headwriter Dusty Alford has the scoop: Henry/Katie/Mike: Henry has this gerat idea of coming up with his own TV station to rival WOAK. Katie just sees Henry as using her to be able to get the money by selling the gym and holding a Bachelor/Bachelorette Auction. But Henry has some serious motivations behind all of this, and those motives will soon come out. Mike will re-surface towards the middle or end of February a changed man. He's been with his dying brother and helping take care of the family after his brother's offscreen death. Lily/Lucinda/Sierra: Lucinda just underwent surgery to have all of her cancer removed, and there will be some sisterly/motherly bonding going on between these three while they await news of whether the surgery nixed the cancer. Meg/Dusty/Jennifer/Nick: Nick, new to Oakdale, has managed to set his sights on Jennifer. Likewise, Meg has again set her eyes on Dusty. These four will stop at nothing to get the one they love. We have a classic soap quadrangle here as we see every character being pulled every which way. Holden/Dallas/Jack: Somewhere in Oakdale, there is an illegal prostitution ring and all the prostitutes are being illegally smuggled into the country. Jack and his partner on the case, Dallas, get in over their heads on the case and Holden is there to bail them out. But it will cost one person their life. Maddie/Casey/Heath: Casey will soon depart Oakdale for the sunny beaches of California with his brother Adam. A former high school friend of Maddie's, Heath Clayborn, comes to Oakdale with his family and he soon makes it clear that he hopes to win Maddie's heart. But Maddie isn't really returning those feelings. Lisa/Roxie/Tom/Margo: Lisa hires a personal assistant to help her with her finances and to help her run her different businesses. However, this new assistant, known as Roxie, has ulterior motives, which the audience will know way before Lisa does. And once those motives are unmasked, Tom and Margo will be involved. Hal/Emily/Andy/Susan/Kim: Emiyl and Andy's relationship continues to blossom, but Hal still hasn't gotten over Emily. Susan and Kim will start World War III when they realize that they've been deceived and that the Andy/Emily relationship still exists. Ben/Jessica/Curtis: Ben will be introduced to a new way of life, but then things get too serious. Jessica fears the worst and brings Curtis back from college to help his father realize that the life he wants...is right in front of him. Margo will also be involved in this storlyine. Paul/Barbara/James: James is trying to draw Barbara back into his life, but a sudden event changes everything. Paul will be there to take the blame, while Barbara hides in shame. And as always, James will be there to stir the pot up just a bit. The storyline will wrap up in early March, prompting a major character in this triangle to leave...and it's not who you think it is. Will/Gwen: Will and Gwen have traveled a long and troublesome road. Barbara will pose a threat to the couple, but in a way you wouldn't expect. For the most part, it will be smooth sailing for these two...but there's always a few bumps in the road.
  11. 1/30/06 Will tracks down Gwen and apologizes for upsetting her, but makes mention that they both have very busy lives now and he thinks they should just get adjusted to ther new jobs before they get serious again like they were. Gwen is uncontrollably angry with Will, and again..runs off. Nick pulls Carly to the side at the Threadz office and interrogates her about Jennifer. He soon learns that Mike and Jennifer were once married and that now, she's having an on-again/off-again romance with Dusty Donovan. Dusty and Jennifer talk about the hug and the kiss on the cheek between Meg and Dusty that Jennifer walked in on. Dusty claims they (Dusty/Meg) are nothing more than friends and says that Jennifer needs to let go of this bitterness and hatred for Paul, Emily, and Meg that she has...before it eats her up inside. Jennifer is outraged at the very thought of forgiving them all. Ben talks with Owen Fritz, founder and pastor of The Children of Promise. Ben is intrigued by the group's motivation and lifestyle. Owen invites Ben to a service and Ben agrees to think it over. Andy and Emily go out to the new ice skating rink in town. Emily remarks that she's never ice-skated and Andy vows to teach her. After a few times of falling, Emil finally learns it, but is accidentally knocked down out of nowhere by a man. Andy reaches down to pick her up, but she playfully pulls him down with her, leaving them dangerously close to a kiss.
  12. That's right folks. You're not imagining. Daytime diva Arianne Zuker has been cast to play the contract role of Roxie, a mysterious young woman with connections to an Oakdale vet. Zuker, who played a mjaor role on DOOL for almost eight years, had been offered so many roles, but when the producers and the writer made her an enticing offer to join the cast of THE WORLD OF OAKDALE, she just couldn't resist. Zuker will first appear on Feb. 13th. -------------------------- -------------------------- Additional Casting Info: Zach Roerig last airs as "Casey" on February 7. Rumors still persist that a major character will be leaving the show by the end of this month...or possibly two major characters...Time will only tell.
  13. It only took a few weeks for TPTB at The World Of Oakdale to realize they had seriously messed up hiring Jordan Woolley for the new role of "Nick Kasnoff". "He was new to the acting world. He had no experience whatsoever. But when we screen-tested him, he seemed 'okay'. Not good...but 'okay' ", says TWOO Executive Producer and Headwriter Dusty Alford. "With a few calls here and there, we were able to find the perfect person for the role and we look forward to what Jeff [Hephner] can bring to the role. We wish Jordan all the best in his future endeavors." Hephner, whose past television credits include 'The Jury', 'The O.C.', and the upcoming CBS movie 'Water is Wide', should start airing February 10. ---------------------------- ---------------------------- Girolamo's 'World' Starts Turning Look familiar? Karl Girolamo first appeared on ATWT a few months ago as "Kevin", Luke's friend. But producers were so impressed with his performance that they offered him the role of "Heath Clayborn", and Giralamo was more than happy to take them up on their offer. "I had actually just auditioned for a part on One Life to Live when I got a call from Dusty Alford. He was so impressed with my acting gig on ATWT that he offered me another role. I won't be "Kevin" this time, but instead, I'll be "Heath", a former flame of Maddie's," says Girolamo. "Heath" and Girolamo should first show up in Oakdale on February 7.
  14. Will has just got off of work at Metro and Gwen has just gotten off of work also. The two talk about where their lives are taking them and how busy they've been lately. Will suggests that they take a "break" and Gwen runs off, highly upset. Emma calls Meg back to the house. She apologizes for her actions the other day and Meg forgives her. Meg again apologizes for her part in keeping the truth away from Jennifer, and Emma says that while she knows Meg's intentions were good, it still doesn't change any facts. She later comes back and tells Jennifer that J.D. just has a chest cold and to take him home and give him some medicine that she's prescribing him. Jennifer thanks her. Katie mentions to the group that she has a terrific idea. A few years ago, Rose had a bachelor auction at her salon. Katie talks of the turn-out and suggests that they do a Bachelor Auction, but spice it up a bit with a Bachelorette Auction. They can hold it at the gym and rake in all the profits. Maddie thinks it's a great idea, but Henry isn't that impressed.

Later, Barbara shows up to the cabin and is startled to find just Paul there. He tells her of the business meeting, but keeps hinting that she might not want to go. Barbara catches on and demands to know what's going on, but they are interrupted when James calls Paul and asks where Barbara is. Pual finally gets Barbara to leave, and once she does, he starts crafting his master plan to rid himself of James forever.
