March 28, 2006 Dusty and Nick try their best to keep the two women away from each other, but finally give up and a catfight ensues. After a spat of hair-pulling and clawing, Susan orders the women to calm down. Barbara goes to see Hal at the hospital. She's startled when James grabs her from behind and promises to go with her wherever she plans on going. Barbara just tells James that she's here visiting an old friend but he's soon enlightened when he hears two nurses talking about Hal's condition. Lisa and Nancy summon Roxie over to Bob and Kim's. Bob is introduced to Roxie and all four talk about whether Roxie's claims are true. Though Nancy maintains that Lisa should give Roxie the benefit of a doubt, Lisa informs Roxie that there is nothing she can say that will prove she is her granddaughter. However, Roxie soon gets the upper hand by asking if Bob will perform a blood test. Heath finds Maddie at Java and pleads with her to accept his love for her and come to terms with the fact that she still loves him. Maddie still tries to tell Heath there's nothing between them. Katie and Henry, after trying unsuccessfully to contact Stephen, contact Kim in hopes that she may have a contact at the station he used to work for and then they can track him down from there. They're shocked when Kim reveals that Stephen now works for her.

Howarth OUT! Sources at TWOO have confirmed that Roger Howarth will be vacating the role of Paul Ryan in early April. The role will not be recast. The mutual decision comes just a few weeks after Oakdale Digest reported that a leading man would be leaving the show. "There was just no room. There are so many stories plaiyng out right now that we are constantly trying to tie up loose ends and the character of Paul just seemed like dead weight", says Executive Producer and Head Writer Dusty Alford. "This was done in no disrespect to Roger, but there's just not enough room on the canvas for his character." It was later hinted at in the interview that yet another leading man may soon be exiting his role, but nothing was ever directly mentioned.

March 27, 2006 Susan, who has returned from her medical conference, gets a briefing from Bob on Hal's condition and later promises Emily that she and Bob are doing everything they can to save Hal. Across town, Jessica reels after receiving divorce papers. She beckons Curtis and the two set out to confront Ben at the Children of Promise house, but are shocked to find the building abandoned. Gwen takes Will to the Threadz office and shows him her latest designs. She notices Will's not really into them and apologizes for being so selfish. She asks Will how he's doing and Will begins recounting fond memories of times with his father. At Jack and Carly's, Jack flips through old photos and apologizes to Carly for being such a terrible husband and father. J.J. and Parker come down with "get well" cards, hoping that Jack feels better soon after his friend died. Jennifer asks why Nick just kissed her and Nick finally admits his feelings for her. Jennifer rebutts Nick's admission and says that she already has a man...just as Meg and Dusty walk through the doors of the hospital.

March 24, 2006 Barbara and James arrive at the courthouse with a very reluctant Paul in tow. Paul witnesses the ceremony and signs the license as a witness. James promises Paul that he will never forget this. Back at Paul's penthouse, Barbara manages to sneak off and begs Paul to do whatever his father tells him to do..unless he wants t speand the rest of his life behind bars. Carly tells Nick that she has problems of her own to worry about but tells Nick that Jennifer's heart will always belong to Dusty. Later, Nick meets up with Jennifer and automatically pulls her into a passionate kiss. Roxie tells Tom the same thing she told Lisa. Tom, though he doesn't believe her, promises to talk to Lisa. Nancy and Lisa arrive at the hospital to check on Hal. They both voice their opinions about Roxie. Lisa denies ever knowing that Scott had children and doubts that Roxie is telling the truth...but Nancy encourages Lisa to give Roxie the benefit of a doubt.

March 23, 2006 Margo returns with some devastating news for Jessica. The cult's leader, Owen, has been busted for fraud and attempted murder on more than one occasion but thanks to his pricey lawyer, the cases never seem to go through. Jessica demands Margo come with her to the cult and save Ben, but is shocked when Margo tells her no. Across town, Nick and Jennfier go to pick up Johnny from the siter's house. They talk about Meg and Dusty and Jennifer finally admits to Nick that she feels like she's holding onto something that's not even there anymore. Later, Nick finds Carly at her house and pleads with her to help him get Jennifer once and for all. Roxie returs to her suite at the Lakeview and finds a note on the door that this room has been vacated and she can pick up her luggage in the lobby. Brokenhearted, Roxie realizes that Lisa will probably never accept her and begins to gather her things in the lobby. As she looks back at Lisa talking to an employee...Tom appears and asks Roxie where she thinks she's going. Heath and Luke continue to fight, causing Maddie to cry. Katie and Henry come in and Henry automatically assumes by the fighting boys and the tearful Maddie that one of them hit her. He forces both boys out of the house and goes to grab Maddie some water. Katie asks Maddie if the two boys were fighting over her. Maddie becomes highly upset and runs to her room, leaving behind a very worried Henry and Katie.

March 22, 2006 Jack awakens to an empty house and finds a picture of himself and Hal on the desk. Attached to the picture is a note written by Carly saying that he really should come. Much to her surprise, Carly spots Jack at the hospital and thanks him for coming, saying that Hal would appreciate him being there. As everyone gathers in the hospital waiting room, Bob comes in and says though Hal is stabilized, he's got several factors working against him. Maddie calls Heath over to the house. Thinking Maddie has finally come to her senses, he dresses very nicely and sprays on tons of cologne. When he arrives, however, he is shocked to find Luke there, also. Maddie begins to have a heart to heart with Heath, but before Maddie can say a word, Heath punches Luke in the jaw leading to an all-out scuffle. Meg begins to apologize to Dusty for what obviously happened between them, but Dusty refuses to let Meg apologize for him. He tells Meg that he's always loved her since childhood. He thought he had found love with Lucy...until Meg arrived back in town. Afeter the whole baby switch fiasco, he was so blind with rage that he confused taking care of Jen and loving Jen. Meg is blown away at Dusty's profession of love and the two make love once more..now, fully concious. James and Barbara arrive at Paul's penthouse. Though sickened to see James, Paul is happy to nkow that his mother is also free. James reminds Paul that he in only out on bail..he's not off the hook just yet. James explains to his son that if he wants the charges dismissed against him...then he'll have to do just one more tiny little thing...be the best man at James and Barbara's wedding.

March 21, 2006 Andy takes Emily to Java in hopes of calming her down. She talks about the good times with Hal and breaks down when she begins talking of her affair with Paul and how that must have killed Hal inside. Andy vows that everything will be okay. Carly calls Lily and tells her to meet her over at the house. Once there, the two of them tell Jack about Hal and his recent heart attack. The pain is too much for Jack to bear, as the two women silently watch Jack fall apart. Katie and Henry run into a man named Stephen Malone. Henry claims to know the man from somewhere and finally pinpoints him as the former head anchor over at at television station in Philadelphia. Stephen tells Katie and Henry of his recent move back to his hometown of Oakdale and also tells htem of his search for another job. As they offer him the lead co-anchor position at KATY, Kim lurks in the shadows. Back in New York, Dusty and Meg awaken to find themselves naked and in bed with each other. Recalling the night before, they realize that in their drunken stupor..they must have made love.

It's A Brand New 'World' for Leachman In her daytime debut, Cloris Leachman has been cast in the role of Nadine Weaverton. A part originally intended for Betty White, "Nadine" is a headstrong grandmother figure who doesn't take anything lying down. Leachman wowed the producer and head writer with her talents and was soon receiving her first script. Look for "Nadine" to mix it up a bit with Lisa and Tom as she tries to verify the truth regarding her granddaughter Roxie. "Nadine" and Leachman debut April 14.

March 20, 2006 Everyone goes into meltdown mode when they learn that Hal has suffered a heart attack. Jennifer arrives and automatically starts berating Emily for being there. Andy pulls her to the side and tells her that if she doesn't calm down, she might be forced to leave. James explains to Barbara that certainly she must remember the excessive amount of predicaments he's gotten them out of over the years. Barbara tells him that he started every single one of those predicaments, but James continues saying that if Barbara wants Paul to come away from all of this in one piece...it's going to come at a price. Roxie explains to Lisa that her father Scott had an affair with a woman in Maine named Nicole, but before she could tell him she was pregnant, Scott left and never returned. Once Nicole's husband found out the child wasn't his, he left her. A year or so after Roxie was born..and the woman still hadn't heard from Scott, she committed suicide, leaving her in the care of her maternal grandmother. Lisa still can't believe what she's hearing and asks why there is no record of a Roxie Milton until a month or so ago. Roxie explains that she legally had her name changed about 5 years ago from Weaverton to Miller...but came to Oakdale under the name "Milton" to slowly break the news to Lisa. Curtis returns to Jessica, claiming that he had no luck. Margo soon shows up to inform Jessica on Hal's condition, but ultimately winds up comforting a torn and broken Jessica. Margo promises to investigate The Children of Promise and orders Curtis to be there for his stepmother. She needs him now more than ever.

March 17, 2006 Meg backs away from Dusty, claiming that if they kiss, he will never forgive himself for weakening. Dusty admits to Meg that he doesn't give a damn and begins passionately kissing a more than happy Meg. Nick and Jennifer come close to seeing the two, but everything changes when Jennifer gets a call about her father. Luke goes over to Maddie's house and is shocked to find her crying. He immediately thinks Heath hurt her, but Maddie claims that as soon as she told Heath that she didn't return his feelings for her, he drove off in a rage. Luke sees that she's just upset and is stunned when she asks Luke to hold her, while Maddie silently cries in his arms. Barbara and Cass watch as James quickly goes over Barbara's case. They're all floored when James, acting as Judge Warren J. Stanley, dismisses the case. Outside the courthouse, James drags Barbara into an alleyway. He explains that he never meant for all of this to happen and begs her to forgive him. Barbara is outraged and tells James he can go to hell, but James gets the upper hand by telling Barbara that if she doesn't quite down, Paul will be gone from her forever. Will, Gwen, Margo, Carly, Andy, Emily, and Susan are all waiting on pins and needles to hear news about Hal's condition. Bob begins updating them, but everyone is shocked when they hear a nurse say that Mr. Munson is having a heart attack. Roxie finally comes clean to Lisa and calims that Lisa is her grandmother and Scott was her father. Lisa refuses to believe it and orders Roxie to leave before she calls the cops.

March 16, 2006 Maddie finds Heath at Java and confronts him about his feelings for her. Heath finally admits that he never stopped loving her and hopes that Maddie will give him a second chance. Across town, Emma tells Luke that he must tell this girl his feelings, but Luke refuses, saying that she would never give him the time of day. Holden finds Carly outside the house and she tells him of Jack's attitude and how he has gotten to the point where he can't even look at his own badge. Holden informs a shocked Carly about Hal and the two wonder how they'll break the news to Jack. Barbara goes in for her arraignment and is shocked to see the face of the judge. Cass, himself, begins to say something, but Barbara warns him that if he utters a word, James's plan...whatever that may be...will be foiled...and he will take it all out on either her, Paul, a member of her family, or possibly even Cass and his family. Lisa finds Roxie at Fashions and immediately confronts her. Roxie, shocked at how Lisa got her information, begs for Lisa to give her a chance to explain. Lisa tells her that she has exactly two minutes and she's already wasted one of those asking for permission to speak.

March 15, 2006 Curtis arrives at the Children of Promise house and asks to speak with Ben Harris. Father Owen informs a stunned Curtis, however, that Ben has asked that no family members to be allowed to visit him. Jack gets a call from Dallas's family, asking to see him. Carly tries to persuade Jack into going, but Jack refuses and again pleads with Carly to leave him alone. Emily is comforted by Andy and she apologizes for scaring him. She tells him that she remembers Bob saying something about "lost him", but Andy tells her that Bob was praising the two of them for bringing him in, or they might have lost him. Emily is temproarily relieved. Margo lets Paul go due to Will posting his bail, but warns him that trouble has a way of catching up with him and to stay away from it this time. Margo informs Barbara that her arraignment is tomorrow. Meanwhile, we see James sneak behind a judge, claiming to be a college professor and wanting some legal advice. When the judge isn't looking, James knocks him over the head, leaving the unconcious judge locked in his own office.

March 14, 2006 Maddie calls Luke over to the house and asks him exactly what he thinks is going on between her and Heath. Luke admits that Heath has always kind of looked at her with lustful eyes, but he has no clue what Heath's true mtoves are. Maddie thanks him and Luke retreats to Emma's where he confides in her that he has found "the one". Katie and Henry find out from one of the contractors that there has been some confusion about who owns the land that the house sets on. The contractor wanrns them that whoever owns the land is definitely against bulding a new TV station there. Just as Henry and Katie ask to speak to this anonymous land owner, Kim enters, claiming that they've found her. Jennifer and Nick arrive in New York and Nick again advises her that this may not be the best idea in the world. Elsewhere, Dusty comforts a shaken Meg. Dusty drops a candle on the floor and as soon as Dusty and Meg are able to extinguish it before it spreads beyond the carpet, they find themselves dangerously close to a kiss. Lisa grabs the file away from Tom and claims that she can handle this all no her own. Lisa is flabbergasted to read what the file has to say. Tom explains to his mother that less than a month ago, Roxie Milton never existed. Barbara is estatic that Will and Gwen have returned with Paul's bail money, and in an effort to hold up her end of the bargain, borrows Will's cell phone to call Cass and asks him to allow Will access to his trust fund. *SPECIAL NOTE: Unlike ATWT, The World of Oakdale will not be pre-empted on Thursday and Friday.*

March 13, 2006 Andy and Emily rush Hal to Memorial. Nobody says much of anything to Emily, which drives her crazy. Desperate to know something, she sneaks over to Hal's room and hears Bob say something about "lost him". Emily faints in Andy's arms. Meg and Dusty come back from a business meeting. On the way back to their room, a passerby grabs Meg and demands she hand over her purse. Dusty leaps into action and attacks the man, who flees. Dusty takes a shaken Meg back to the room. Katie tells Maddie that's it's obvious Heath still hasn't gotten over Maddie. Maddie doesn't believe a word of it, saying that Heath knows that what they had back home is over and done with, but Katie still begs to differ. Tom arrives at Java and thanks Lisa for meeting him on such notice. He asks her what she thinks of her new assistant Roxie and Lisa admits to Tom that Roxie seems so caught up in Lisa's personal life that it's beginning to creep her out. Tom drops a file on table, saying that everything she wants to know about Roxie Milton is in that file. However, he warns Lisa that once she reads the file, she may never be the same.

Jan with the baby reminds me of Psycho Julia on ATWT. Before Carly and Jack married, she re-emerged...then showed up at their wedding with "Jack Jr.", which turned out to be a baby she had stolen from a hospital in, like Canada, or somewhere..... Good stuff!

March 10, 2006 Jennifer learns from Sierra that Dusty and Meg have gone to New York on business. Jennifer, baffled at the news, asks what Meg went for. Sierra shocks Jennifer with the news that Meg is now working alongside Dusty at Worldwide. Jessica thanks Curtis for coming home so soon and pleads with him to go to the Children Of Promise house and try and talk some sense into his dad. After much persuading, Curtis agrees. Will arrives at the police station and wants to know what Barbara wants. She tells him of what truly happened on James's jet and Will is flabbergasted at the predicament his mother has gotten herself into this time. Barbara informs Will that since her arraignment has been delayed, it is his responsibility to get the $500,000 bail the judge demanded for Paul. At Maddie and Henry's, Katie finds Maddie and immediately knows something is bothering her. She confides in Katie that Heath has been noticeably jealous when Luke is around and can't figure out why. Katie tells a stunned Maddie that Heath obviously has feelings for her still. At Susan's, Andy and Emily begin making love. Emily is surprised at how romantic Andy can truly be. Everything seems to be perfect until Hal comes over to ask Susan a medical question. Horrified that Hal has caught them in a compromising position, Emily starts shooting off at the mouth but is taken back when Hal starts clutching his chest and gasping for breath, eventually collapsing.

March 9, 2006 Dusty and Meg decide to go to New York in hopes of getting a better idea of the company they're pursuing. Once there, they learn from a hotel clerk that their hopes of two seperate rooms are dashed. A famous concert band is in town, forcing Meg and Dusty to share the only vacant room left. Back in Oakdale, Carly finds Jack in the den. Knowing that he never comes there, she realizes that the loss of his partner and Panzico's escape have totally unnerved her husband. Though she tries to assure him that everything is alright, Jack angrily orders her to leave him alone. Across town, Andy and Emily get a lift from a truck driver and later, call a tow truck. Once back at Susan's, the two decide to go in and warm up since Susan is away at a medical conference and Daniel is at a sleepover. With the house to themselves, Andy brings up the fact that they've been dating a while but have yet to consummate their relationship. At Memorial, a nurse unplugs James's life support, revealing an awake and much healthier James. The nurse tells him that she will go get his discharge papers, but again urges him to stay the night so they can keep an eye on him. James refuses the idea, citing that he needs to get back to his family.

Oakdale Digest has learned from an inside source that a leading man will be exiting the show in mid- or late March. TWOO had no comment. O.D. has also learned that a fan favorite may be returning in time to shake up the lives of many Oakdaleians. Who could it be? And when is this fan favorite returning? Time will only tell. Mark Collier was supposed to re-emerge in time for his storyline to kick off, but TWOO mysteriously delayed his return and scrapped those storyline plans, slated for February Sweeps. The buzz is that "Mike" is being killed off, but TWOO begs to differ, claiming that they have big plans for "Mike"...just not yet. John Dixon will be returning, but not at the time that O.D. reported. But don't be worried. John will return...again, just not yet. Two actresses have complained of lack of airtime and are debating leaving the show. As always, Oakdale Digest will keep you informed. Sources are also saying that a couple will leave the show sometime this summer, but only for a brief hiatus. Whoever it is, TWOO insists that they will return....with a HUGE story. As previously reported, backstage buzz has Kaba, Dunphy, and List returning this summer. TWOO had no comment, but the buzz is growing...and buzzing even louder! BUT...List may be returning a bit earlier than her fellow former co-stars Kaba and Dunphy. Look for yet another person from Lisa's past to emerge, but TWOO insists that the character's return is only to tie into a current story and will, in fact, be a brief "return". Lastly, since The World Of Oakdale is an ATWT fan fiction and has only been around a few months, don't look for Executive Producer and Head Writer Dusty Alford to create his own version of ATWT's upcoming 50th anniversary. "As The World Turns is a daytime god, in my honest opinion, and I would not want to do anything to overcloud that impressive milestone. Therefore, TWOO will be pre-empted the two days that ATWT airs it's 50th anniversary celebratory episodes."

3.8.06 Carly and Gwen go over last minute designs for the ad campaign. Carly consoles Gwen on her watered down relationship with Will and suggests the two take a trip. Gwen refuses the idea, saying that everytime they "take a trip", something bad happens. Dusty and Meg get a briefing from Sierra about the client company from New York. Sierra suggests that they not let work interfere with play. Dusty insists that he and Meg are only friends, as Meg fantasizes of Dusty realizing his love for her. Roxie runs into Tom at Java and begins questioning his family and who all his relatives are. Tom becomes particulary curious as to why Roxie wants to know and decide against calling her out on it. Once home, Tom makes a call and asks a private investigator friendof his to research a woman named Roxie Milton. Across town, Margo has arrested a furious Barbara. Margo insists to Barbara that she made an open confession and points to a security guard as a witness to the confession. Margo reluctantly allows Barbara a phone call and promises Paul that the judge is not going to be happy with him since he took the wrap for a crime his own mother committed.

3.7.06 Andy and Emily decide to go out for lunch, but are in for a surprise when they get stuck in a snow bank. They finally are abe to start the car, but it won't budge due to the massive amount of snow that has accumulated on the car. Jessica tearfully pleads with Ben to re-think his petition for a divorce and tries to force him into remembering his love for her. After a heated argument, Jessica leaves and is more brokenhearted than ever. She pulls out her cell phone and vows to do whatever it takes to keep her man. Jennifer pulls her brother to the side bfore his arraignment and officially forgives him for making her think that Johnny was dead. She tells Paul that thanks to Dusty and Nick, she has realized that the longer she stays mad at Paul, the more bitter she will become. Paul apologizes one last time and is escorted to his arraignment. Barbara arrives at the arraignment after Paul has plead guilty and pleads with the judge to set bail, citing that her son's intentions have always been good. The judge reluctantly posts a $500,00 bail. Back at Paul's cell, Barbara becomes overwhelmed and furious that Paul is laying back and going along with his father's plan to ruin their family once and for all. She angrily shouts out that she is the one who shot James and she will not let him take the fall for this since she has all the evidence that the police need to formally charge her, just as Margo enters.

3.6.06 Nick and Jennifer head over to the police station to see Paul before his arraignment. Hal comes by before going by the drugstore and finds the two there. While Jennifer has a heart to heart with her father about his health and how truly worried she was, Nick preps Paul that Jennifer just might be forgiving towards him. Roxie tells the person on the phone that she has yet to tell Lisa, but knows that Lisa won't believe her. Lisa sneaks up behind her and demands to know what "she won't believe", but Roxie is able to cover. Katie and Henry begin taking applications for TV news anchors. Katie declines Henry's idea that she be the lead anchor, but Henry is soon able to convince her that she jas just enough experience and the perfect personality to get the ball rolling on their news team. Holden takes Jack out for a stroll and some coffee at Java. The two cousins soon find themselves reminiscing about their times together and Holden re-assures Jack that he will get over this. Jack breaks down, just as Margo arrives to tell Jack that Panzico has escaped.
