James comes up with an excuse and the two look to be in the clear until they come face to face with Barbara. Holden and Lily discuss their vow renewal ceremony and soon start talking of Luke's problems. Holden says that they became way too caught up in their own problems to notice Luke's downward spiral. He asks Maddie just where Henry plans on getting the money to form his own TV station and Maddie says Katie. Katie can't believe that Henry wants her to sell the gym and give him all the money to form his own TV station. Henry comes in and begs Katie to re-think her "no" answer and even offers to go make her a partner. Katie finally agrees but tells Henry that he better not make her regret this. Later, Katie gets a call from Mike, saying that Mark's surgery went roughly and his stay might be pro-longed a little more than expected.

  3. 1/13/06 James goes to the prison and taunts his son again for most probably having to spend the rest of his life behind bars...unless he joins forces with his father. Paul refuses, but James asserts that the longer he runs from his true destiny to be a Stenbeck, the stronger his destiny will become. Paul eventually gives in and agrees to help his father, but asks James what exactly he is signing up for and James tells his son that he has the luck of being the one to help Barbara fall in love with James again. Meg goes to Emma's to talk to her, but Emma has already learned the truth. She breates her daughter for doing such a low thing. Emma claims that she thought Dusty was the one she needed to look out for, but in truth, it was her own daughter that needed the distrust. Meg tries to explain her reasoning and that everything turned out all right in the end, but Emma continues to scold Meg, saying she doesn't even know her own daughter anymore. Henry comes to Mike and Katie's with some information on TV stations and breaking into business. Maddie, who spent the night with Katie, and Katie can't help but see just how excited Henry is. Henry explains that if you can't join them, you must beat them and explains that he hopes to open up his own station. Maddie is excited because it means a job for her (with a lot of pay), while Katie remains skeptical, citing that Henry doesn't have the money to get his own business up and running. Henry then explains to Katie that that's where she comes in. Luke and Holden are feeding the horses in the barn when Luke brings up his alchol problem. He says that with all the family problems and all the stress, alcohol was his only friend. Luke apologizes to his father for his wreckless behavior and Holden forgives him. Andy is in shock, but says he's not surprsied. He always knew Paul would eventually turn into a true Stenbeck. Emily can't believe that she never saw it. Andy comforts Emily and says that when you're in love, you tend to not see some things like others do. Emily says she should have just stayed in her boring relationship with Hal. Emily thanks Andy for his ear and kisses him on the cheek, as both of them head to their respective homes. Will comes to the Penthouse and finds Barbara very edgy and upset. She tells him that James has come back to Oakdale and is more obsessed than ever with her. Will warns her to stay away and brings up Gwen. 7. *Oakdale Digest has learned that TWOO is currently casting the role of "Heath Clayborn", a character with past romantic ties to one Oakdaleian. New HW Dusty says, "He will definitely figure into the teen scene." *Not only is the show casting for the role of "Heath", but a mystery woman is being cast. Mystery, not because of character traits, but because nothing is known about her character at this time...just that her role will not debut for a while. Oakdale Digest promises to let you know the minute something is known. *Ernest Waddell is reprising his role as "Curtis" starting in late January. Like before, the role is recurring. *The rumor is that Zach Roerig has been fired from the show, leaving several castmates stunned. *Everyone has been probably wondering if Nick is a cop in this fan fiction. Not hardly! Readers will find out Nick's reason for being in Oakdale on Friday, January 13th. *A camera man from TWOO has posted on his internet site that backstage buzz has Jessica Dunphy, Peyton List, and Agim Kaba returning to the show, but not until late spring or early summer. When asked about this rumor, TWOO Headwriter Dusty said, "What's this ******* camera man's name?!" *Look for a contract character to leave sometime next month, with another one not far behind.
