  1. Fans of Eli and Lani (ELani) are in for a treat when portrayers Lamon Archey and Sal Stowers reprise the roles starting with the Thursday, February 29 episode of “Days of our Lives.” Initially thought to be a one-off return, Soap Opera Network has learned that Archey and Stowers will appear in several episodes of the series, including most of next week and another episode set to air a few weeks down the line. While this is far from a permanent return for the two actors, it’s worth it for the die-hard fans of the Peacock exclusive series. In story, Eli and Lani are back in Salem to support Paulina (Jackée Harry), Lani’s mother, who is going through a health crisis. On the Monday, March 4 episode, a distraught Paulina tells Marlena (Deidre Hall) she doesn’t want to die. Meanwhile, her husband, Abe (James Reynolds), and her daughter rally behind her, hoping to keep her spirits up. Sadly, things turn for the worse later in the week when only a miracle can save the one-time governor-elect. James Reynolds, Sal Stowers, Lamon Archey, Jackée Harry XJJohnson/JPI Studios Since departing “Days of our Lives,” Archey can be seen more frequently as Principal D’Angelo Carter on “All American” on The CW, while Stowers appears in the current season of the Tyler Perry-created drama “Sistas” on BET. Stowers plays Penelope on the show. All-new episodes of “Days of our Lives” are released Weekdays at 6:00 a.m. ET/3:00 a.m. PT on Peacock. Stream Anytime. On Any Device. 2. After more than 30 years portraying Sheila Carter on both “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful,” actress Kimberlin Brown saw her villainess character meet her maker earlier this week when Sheila was stabbed to death by daughter-in-law Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). In an all-new exit interview with TV Insider, Brown reveals that she’s open to returning to daytime in another role, whether on her former soaps as a new character or even a new role on “Days of our Lives” or “General Hospital.” “I would absolutely be open to a daytime return,” declared Brown in an interview with soap columnist Stephanie Sloane. “This is my happy place. This is where I have really been thriving the last couple of years. It took me 62 years to find myself and I finally found myself and this is what makes me happy.” As for her feelings about her iconic character being killed off, Brown notes it was an “amazing moment” when she got the call from the show’s head writer and executive producer Brad Bell about reprising the role of Sheila in 2021, saying, “I never take anything for granted with my character because she has been that character who is in and out of storyline — here a year, gone a year, here two years, gone three, that sort of thing. As much as I love playing my part, I never really have that security that a lot of other actors have on the show, especially if you’re playing a good girl, so getting that phone call to come back was phenomenal.” Kimberlin Brown, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Howard Wise/JPI Studios While she probably wouldn’t have wanted to see the character killed off, Brown shares that she’s going to stay positive about everything, especially since she’s seen others taking the exit of their character in a not so positive light in the past. “I tried my best to be lighthearted about it,” she states. “I’ve seen people before when they exit, and they’re very angry. I can’t be angry because I’ve been so blessed to play my character as long as I have.” Meanwhile, for those questioning whether Sheila’s truly dead this time, Brown says that when tuning into the air shows, “This one might be tough to come back from.” To read more about what Brown says about her exit from “The Bold and the Beautiful,” click here. 6. Howard Wise/JPI Studios This week on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) seemingly did what no other nemesis has been able to do in over 30 years: She took down the mother-in-law from hell, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), when she stabbed the woman to “death” on the Monday, February 26 episode of the CBS daytime drama series. With all the mind-tingling, twisty, soapy goodness awaiting viewers in upcoming episodes, the show has released several photos to help explain the plot in case one feels confused. Of course, no one is more confused than Finn (Tanner Novlan), who tries to piece together what happened between his biological mother and the wife he proclaims to love and adore. Michelle Stafford, Adam Sharp, Melody Thomas Scott Sonja Flemming/CBS “NATAS congratulates ‘The Young and the Restless’ on their renewal for additional four seasons,” said Adam Sharp, NATAS President & CEO. “‘Y&R’ and the Daytime Emmys celebrated golden anniversaries together in 2023, and it is so gratifying to see the continued passion for daytime television stay so strong. We look forward to celebrating with the ‘Y&R’ team again at the 51st Annual Daytime Emmys later this year.” Averaging 3.5 million viewers this season when adding delayed viewership, “The Young and the Restless” remains the most-watched among all daytime scripted programs for a record-breaking 36th season. The series is also the most-watched daytime program among African American viewers. Celebrating several anniversaries this year, including milestone anniversaries for notable anniversaries, including Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman), who’s been on the show for 45 years and Eric Braeden (Victor Newman), continuing with the show for his 44th year. 10. Following today’s announcement that CBS has renewed “The Young and the Restless” for four additional seasons, which will take the show through its 55th season and keep it on the air through at least the 2027-2028 TV season, many have wondered what that meant for sister soap “The Bold and the Beautiful.” It turns out the show will also continue, albeit for at least one additional season. According to a report by TV Line, during the half-hour soap’s last renewal order, CBS included an additional option year, which means that when the network ordered two additional seasons back in March 2022, it also had the option to extend that order to a third season. TV Line notes via a CBS insider that the network “will” exercise that option, which means the show will continue through at least the 2024-2025 TV season and makes a formal renewal announcement a moot point. TV Line’s report also notes that before today’s renewal announcement for “The Young and the Restless,” the current CBS renewals for its two soaps run through May 2024. With ABC making behind-the-scenes changes at “General Hospital,” which will kick off its 62nd season in April, and the networks’ president recently saying they were “deeply committed” to the show, plus with “Days of our Lives” renewed through its 60th season at Peacock, it’s safe to say that the four remaining daytime drama series will continue to live on for at least another year. “Days of our Lives” is contracted at Peacock through September 2025. “General Hospital” doesn’t officially receive renewal orders at ABC as the network owns the series outright. Like “World News Tonight with David Muir,” “Good Morning America,” and “This Week,” the shows are all network-owned and continue to air until the network decides not to continue with them. 12. CBS has renewed “The Young and the Restless” for another four seasons, the network announced today. This will take the show through its 55th season (2027-2028 TV season) and is in line with the last renewal handed to the series in 2020. Amy Reisenbach CBS “‘TheYoung and the Restless’ has been a staple of daytime television for over 50 years, and it is with great pleasure that we will continue that legacy at CBS,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “The talented cast and writers deliver compelling performances and stories on a daily basis and have provided iconic moments that have kept the show on top of the ratings and thrilled generations of fans for over five decades. We look forward to seeing what new creative twists and turns they have planned for the folks of Genoa City.” Averaging 3.5 million viewers this season, the drama series remains the most-watched among all daytime scripted programs for a record-breaking 36th season. 15. Forgot to add...I wouldn't write articles for characters that appear for five seconds. So, watch the show today. Just sayin'...
  16. Part of this isn't necessarily accurate, but you'll have to tune in to find out what I mean, why and how. That, and it just doesn't make any sense. The show goes from boring and dreadful with nothing really happening to suddenly a jolt happens and we get Sheila "dead" on a Monday? Plus, someone who was fired doesn't promote their death beyond an exit interview, so Kimberlin "liking" posts and sharing stories on Instagram isn't necessarily proving to be something we can expect to be truthful from the show. As pointed out, they already did this in 2022 with Finn.
  17. On the Tuesday, February 27 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” viewers will learn more about what happened between Sheila Carter and Steffy Forrester (Kimberlin Brown and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) when she alerts the police of what transpired between her and the mother-in-law from hell. While character details are unknown at this time, actors Ron Nery Jr. and Naiia Lajoie are set to appear in the episode, which promises to be a good one (check out a sneak peek below). In a post on Instagram, Nery teased, “After what transpired on today’s episode, you’ll wanna tune in. See ya then!” A fan of the show since he was a child, watching with his siblings, mother and grandmother, Nery made his daytime debut playing a role on “General Hospital” in 2021. His other credits include “Good Girls” and “Why Women Kill,” among other roles. “This is a show I watched when I was literally a little kid all the way up into high school,” noted Nery in a recent Instagram story posted to his timeline. “I watched it every summer and then during the school year, my mom would tape it and we would watch it when we get home from school, with my brother and my sister and everything. Obviously, it meant a lot for me to even be on the show, you know, and to act with who I got to act with. So, see you guys tomorrow. Let me know what you think.” Meanwhile, Lajoie also posted to her Instagram, asking followers, “Are you guys caught-up on your @boldandbeautifulcbs tea?” She teased, “I can assure you won’t want to miss Season 37, Episode 109 airing tomorrow, Tuesday Feb. 27th, at 1:30pm EST and at 12:30pm PST, on @cbstv!” Lajoie, who previously appeared in “Blue Mountain State” and “Skymed,” among other credits, included a thank you message in the post to her talent agency and the casting department at “The Bold and the Beautiful” for the opportunity. Nery’s post also thanked the casting team at the show. 19. After today’s shocking twist, wherein Steffy stabs Sheila on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Kimberlin Brown might have just concluded her more than 35-year run as Sheila Carter. In an interview with TV Insider, Brown comments that what happened in the episode has put her in a tough place right now, but if anyone was going to take her character down, she’s happy it was Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who plays Steffy Forrester on the daytime drama series. “I just wish that no one was taking Sheila down. It’s my happy place where I have been so blessed to be for over 35 years. But I’ve had a good run at it, so I’m one of the lucky ones, there’s no doubt about it,” said Brown of her exit from the series. Growing up as a fan of “The Bold and the Beautiful” long before she joined the show’s cast, Wood also spoke to TV Insider and says of her co-star, “She elevates every scene and she’s so creative.” As for her character being able to put a nail in Sheila’s coffin, Wood adds, “For Steffy, hallelujah! This is her moment. How long has it taken Steffy to take her down and it’s finally happening, so it’s going to be a big shock,” while also noting, “For someone who used to watch the show, and to [now] go toe-to-toe against Sheila, that’s a really cool moment.” Kimberlin Brown, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Howard Wise/JPI Studios Meanwhile, how Steffy deals with the aftermath of what she’s done, especially when Finn (Tanner Novlan) discovers what’s happened, knowing that Sheila is his birth mother, that’s a journey that’ll surely play out over the next several episodes as SINN fans will see while they board a roller coaster ride for what happens next. That said, Steffy is still trying to rationalize what’s happened. “She’s in shock for a while. Even though she has to protect herself, protect her family, to still kill a human being is something that is so hard to wrap your head around. It’s very raw. It’s an emotional roller coaster for Steffy.” Although Steffy would like to have Finn stand by her side during all of this, he himself might need comforting, particularly as he leans on Hope (Annika Noelle) while the two are at Sheila’s place on Friday, March 1. 22. If you have a cool $5.25 million lying around, you might be able to purchase the Los Angeles home of “The Young and the Restless” star Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman). The actor is selling the 5,839 square-foot single-family home he and his interior designer wife, Tobe Keeney, lived while raising their four kids. The 6-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom multi-story home is located in the guard-gated North Ranch Country Club Estates in Westlake, CA, part of Ventura County, with amenities including a private pool, 24-hour security, gated community with guard, double door entry and public sewer, among other amenities. Additionally, the custom-built property features a range of appliances, while the interior features a balcony, high ceilings, a pantry, recessed lighting and much more. Regarding the exterior, the garage can hold space for four vehicles, with the property potentially providing ample parking space for an RV and loads of storage. The property itself is 1.21 acres. With the price tag set at $5.25 million, a 20% down payment ($1.05 million) and an APR of 7.48%, a monthly mortgage payment is estimated to be $33,255.63 a month based on principal and interest, taxes, and, of course, home owner’s association fees, according to Bex Reality, which provides numerous photos of the property for potential buyers to get an idea of what the place looks like before scheduling a private viewing (no open houses).
