A movie about which Christina Crawford (Joan's adopted daughter) said that when she saw her mother in the role, she had to run out of the cinema... since it was so traumatizing seeing Joan... acting like HERSELF in real life... in the most narcissistic light possible.

I found the movie in full for free in pristine quality. Enjoy.

I just left this in the Comments: OMG! That is amazing! Listen, I am a soap fan & I run a soap group. I have a black & white picture of Joan Crawford with Gloria Monty on the living room set of THE SECRET STORM. Crawford's daughter, Christina was in that cast & she was horribly ill & Joan insisted on going on in her place for a few days. It was crazy because she was a mature woman & Christina was I think mid-twenties. But, here's the reason I am telling you this. There's no video copy of her performances on the popular daytime soap! Some of us figure someone has a kinescope tucked away somewhere. If you're that someone, please get it to me or to someone so we can share it. That it doesn't exist in some video library is literally a crying shame! (Gloria Monty was the Exec. Producer for 15 years. Pre-GH.)

And I, too... would die for a video showing Joan's Secret Storm appearance. It is so iconic. But in the meantime... we have the audio from it... on youtube... And these remaining photos. Poor Joan was deep into her alcoholism at this time...

@Contessa Donatella - but who knows... maybe some day the soap Gods will smile at all of us and somewhere deep into some cellar or high in some attic or... even library... is lying a copy of Joan's Secret Storm fiasco. I would love to see it. And... yes... she was 63 years of age and she was playing a 24 year old character.
