The frustration of imagining what could have been if Joan was in the role... is too much to bear. That would have been one of her most iconic roles. But... Joan was gonna be Joan. I have a black & white picture of Joan Crawford with Gloria Monty on the living room set of THE SECRET STORM. Crawford's daughter, Christina was in that cast & she was horribly ill & Joan insisted on going on in her place for a few days. It was crazy because she was a mature woman & Christina was I think mid-twenties. But, here's the reason I am telling you this. There's no video copy of her performances on the popular daytime soap! Some of us figure someone has a kinescope tucked away somewhere. If you're that someone, please get it to me or to someone so we can share it. That it doesn't exist in some video library is literally a crying shame! (Gloria Monty was the Exec. Producer for 15 years.
