Members DramatistDreamer
From what I read, this show originally aired in 1967 and has had a number of revivals, with the next one with Leslie Jones as host. Even Netflix expressed interest! https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/supermarket-sweep-leslie-jones-abc-1203460407/ Even the most popular canceled daytime soap would never get as many go rounds as any half-way popular game show. And before we mention budgets, remember the PP/TOLN soaps didn't stream every day for an hour. Also, remember that the earliest aired soaps began as 15 minutes serials. I know some don't think so but the daytime drama is actually a versatile form of entertainment. It has been on radio, TV and Internet. It has aired as 15, 30, and 60 minute episodes. When there's interest in making something happens, it happens.
