I know Y&R did that with certain recurring characters when they were required for more regular appearances.

i'm guessing Jordan is gonna be the one to steal Portia's baby?, to keep Curtis. Narratively, it makes no sense for Portia to do it. Also, her pregnancy was apparently risky, so there's no punch if she loses her baby. I wonder if Trina's gonna switch the babies? Hmm.

You’re right! I know the show has tied for #1 when rounding, but I don’t recall when it ever was #1 when using pure figures.
When combining the average of the two half hours of Price is Right, B&B was indeed #1 outright. Amazing accomplishment.

I'd throw in Olivia as well.
Carl Evans and Rick Hearst rarely remind me of each other as I think of Carl's A-M as more boyish, but he does remind me a lot of Rick in the scene where he flirts with Harley until they kiss. That was a hot moment (it helps that Carl and Beth really went for it).
I think the show threw that relationship away too easily.
Was Frank meant to be in a yellow Speedo by the end? I think those scenes may have been in the 1992 anniversary special.
I've enjoyed your takes on the strike material over the last year as the show was so in flux at this time I was never sure what changes were made during the strike period.
Going through the episode now, Sarah does have a harder edge than I remember her having under Long. This is more believable, but it's somewhat difficult to watch. Audrey Peters does a good job of shifting her characters.
Reva's dramas are tiresome even by 1988, but Kim sells her dilemma with a surprising amount of sincerity and restraint.

Yes, I remember Peggy Nolan being on the show for many years, the introduction of Linda, Gloria and Zack, and then how everyone in the family group dwindled away except for Linda, whose appearances became infrequent.
I recall Linda and Alice sitting in the hospital cafeteria one day in 1972-ish. Linda told Alice that she and Zack had become engaged, and Alice said she wanted to throw a party for them. Nothing ever became of the Zack-Linda engagement, and I believe he faded away without fanfare.
Nothing ever became of Gloria, either. I think she only appeared in 1972.
