As you open your pockets for the next natural disaster, please keep these facts in mind:

· The American Red Cross President and CEO, Marsha J. Evans salary for the year was $651,957 plus expenses.

· The United Way President Brian Gallagher receives a $375,000 base salary along with numerous expense benefits.

· UNICEF CEO Caryl M. Stern receives $1,200,000 per year (100k per month) plus all expenses, including a Rolls Royce. Less than 5 cents of your donated dollar goes to the cause.

· The Salvation Army's Commissioner Todd Bassett receives a salary of only $13,000 per year (plus housing) for managing this $2 billion dollar organization. 96% of donated dollars go to the cause.

· The American Legion National Commander receives a $0.00 zero salary. Your donations go to help Veterans and their families and youth!

· The Veterans of Foreign Wars National Commander receives a $0.00 zero salary. Your donations go to help Veterans and their families and youth!

· The Disabled American Veterans National Commander receives a $0.00 zero salary. Your donations go to help Veterans and their families and youth!

· The Military Order of the Purple Heart National Commande receives a $0.00 zero salary. Your donations go to help Veterans and their families and youth!

· The Vietnam Veterans Association National Commander receives a $0.00 zero salary. Your donations go to help Veterans and their

families and youth!

In 2010, Goodwill Industries International, Inc., the national parent corporation for all of the nation's secondhand clothing affiliates, paid its president and CEO James Gibbons more than half a million dollars in compensation. And dozens of state and local chapters copied the national headquarters' executive extravagance. Here's a rundown of the recent executive compensation packages for the three Florida-based Goodwill organizations that pay some employees less than minimum wage:

•$440,197 - CEO of Goodwill Industries-Suncoast, Inc.

•$316,685 - CEO of Goodwill Industries of South Florida, Inc.

•$393,001 - CEO of Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, Inc.

In California, these five Goodwill organizations exploit the special minimum wage exemption and pay executives top-dollar. A short sample of some executive compensation packages over the past few years:

•$282,295 - CEO of Goodwill Industries of San Diego County

•$265,388 - CEO of Goodwill Industries of Orange County

•$376,317 - CEO of Goodwill Industries of Sacramento Valley & Northern Nevada

•$507,898 - CEO of Goodwill of Southern California

•$344,754- CEO of Goodwill Industries of Santa Clara County/ Silicon Valley

They had ardent fans on certain forums. It drove me crazy because Skye was so poorly shoehorned into the show and nothing about any of her relationships (except maybe the friendships with A.J. and Ned) were believable to me. Liking an actor does not make a character fit!

R.I.P.: Anthony Geary has passed away

Luke's already dead and has been for a while, why would they need to need to recover his body to honor him? What for another memorial? Thats depressing especially as you mention, there's been quite a few of those recently and in the pipeline.

They can honor Luke by doing something to celebrate his birthday. Have that come up and several characters get sentimental and think and talk about him throughout the episode

that still exists? I watched it las year on teh ABC app but they decomissioned that

I was not a fan of her work on The Bold and the Beautiful, but her work on Beyond the Gates has been outstanding. She truly is one of the best in American daytime, tying with Mandi Line from The Young and the Restless.

Perhaps I was giving the entire team too much credit. I assumed the show snapped up Ingo when Titans flopped, were hoping to get Vanessa and it fell through, and scrapped together some wacky plot for Jax last minute, hoping something would stick. I was always a bit surprised they didn't try to repair the coupling of Chloe/Jax.
I can see the idea of tying him to the Cassadines in his return via Alexis, but that story was just odd. Jax left his entire life in PC to find Brenda and gave up after less than a year and somehow ran into Cassadine intrigue?
I could go on and on about the Skye romance. They were barely together and then were getting married. It wasn't anywhere near Jax's worst pairing, but everyone in the audience knew the show was ramping up the obstacles for Brenda's return and nothing was organic about it.
Honestly though I always laugh when I think about Ric and Marianna? What a silly story no one ever mentioned again. Did JFP really think THAT story was going to elevate RH to lead status?

I think Eva is at a point where either you love her or hate her. They can do whatever they can to make her likeable and a "good" character but people will forever hate her bc of how the writers wrote her this year. Thats were Im at with her bc I do not want to see her happy and side eye everything she does. Im over her

I don't think Jill had any plan there, no. She and likely the network were just snatching Ingo back up once he was free hoping for a ratings bump. Like most longtime GH characters, she and Megan McTavish clearly had no idea what to do with him or who Jax was. That was evidenced by the crap they had him playing with Angel, then the insta-romance with Skye who was Jill's favorite.
As far as I can tell JFP had very little affinity for GH's history or characters. She was about her favorites. That's evidenced again by the strike in 2008, when Guza is gone for a few months and suddenly GH becomes The Rick Hearst Show and resembles early-mid'90s Guiding Light, when Jill was in charge. Not that I don't love Hearst, but suddenly having A-story spinning around Ric and some immigrant woman he married was crazy. But that was Jill.

The next episode of “Soapy Hosted by Rebecca Budig and Greg Rikaart” features a sit-down conversation with Emmy Award-winning costume designer Jeresa Featherstone (“Beyond the Gates,” “The Bold and the Beautiful”).
In an exclusive clip ahead of the episode’s release on Tuesday, December 16, Featherstone discusses how she began working on “Beyond the Gates” from pre-production through casting and finally having cast members to dress, and how she pulled off the Herculean task of costuming a whole new daytime drama.
