August 21, 201213 yr Member This news is a few days old, but (for those who are unaware) NBC is slashing Leno's salary and laying off 20 to 25 people. http://www.latimes.c...0,6615498.story http://www.latimes.c...0,3885137.story I was surprised to learn that Leno beats Letterman in the ratings (as I thought the opposite was true ever since Leno returned). It seems that the main reason for these cuts was because the idiots at NBC were still giving The Tonight Show a prime-time budget (like Leno's short-lived 2009 show had), and never trimmed it down until now. August 21, 201213 yr Member I always got the impression Leno's show was made on spit and glue anyway. The whole thing has always seemed cheap and depressing. Maybe this means less of the cutesy camera things.
