Look at what ABC did for GH, they spent big bucks moving it to HD, built a new hospital set, and it had strong promotion. With AMC, they moved it to LA, hired new headwriters and made it a big deal. OLTL got what? I didn't believe it then but it hindsight they were prob moving towards an AMC/GH combo, but when AMC didn't move in the ratings, Brenda's return barely moved GH and seeing CBS seamlessly transition LMAD and The Talk into their lineup, ABC decided to cut their losses and ditch the soaps. Members RomeAt50 Posted July 22, 2012 Members Share Posted July 22, 2012 Plus if the word did come from Disney to cancel both soaps, and not Frons or another ABCD exec then the people who made the decision to try to save AMC by moving it were probably not the same people who ultimately decided to cancel it.
