Members quartermainefan
This was such a brilliant movie. Funny, serious, romantic, it worked on all levels. This is easily in my ten best list of all time. <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/9FAV3zr1PMk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Diane Keaton was never lovelier. Members MissLlanviewPA
I was OBSESSED with this movie ten years ago (and keep in mind, I was 13 then).I saw it for the first time in late 2001, but I taped it on TCM around this time in 2002 (Oscar time), and would watch it over and over, just because I thought I would grow up and be a famous female director/writer who lived in New York like Woody (my parents have this book called The Films of Woody Allen that I loved to look at then--I still have it). My career goals have changed since then, but I still love that movie (I think I love Hannah & Her Sisters a little bit more, though--and Manhattan is great, too). I think I still kind of want to see The Sorrow and the Pity because of it--even though it's supposed to depress you . Members quartermainefan
The Sorrow and The Pity is a heavy duty documentary on WW2 in France. I don't think you want to see that. Anyway, AH is just such a perfect movie and I love this bit <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/OpIYz8tfGjY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> and they won't let it be embedded but I love the easter dinner and the contrast between the families because it is so true.
