A video history of actors who were dubbed in musicals from 3'0s till now

Seeing that one has to wonder why they had the cast they had in West Side Story. Most of the leads were dubbed! Wouldn't it have been easier to choose people who could sing in the first place. I guess I can understand casting Natalie Wood since she was a major star, but what about Richard Beymer, Russ Tamblyn and Rita Moreno?

I'm not sure I agree that Jessica Lange (Sweet Dreams), Marion Cotillard (La Vie En Rose) and Judy Davis (Me and My Shadow) belong here. They aren't dubbed, they lipsync to the original artists.

Speaking of that, was there a reason they didn't have original recordings for La Bamba and the Elvis movie?

Fred Astaire and Angela Lansbury dubbed?!! Why??
