Members wingwalker
Even though Big Bang has always repeated well, it's crazy that the repeat came in second, beating out everything but the new Big Bang Episode. If it wasn't for Big Bang being in syndication now (thus risking over-exposure), I'd say CBS would be better off just airing Big Bang repeats at 8:30 instead of Rules of engagement. Members Soapsuds
That's what I was thinking...how well the rerun did. All the dramas are dropping while sitcoms are rising in the ratings.
Administrator Toups Posted October 15, 2011 Author Administrator Share Posted October 15, 2011 Those RR numbers are crazy! I didn't see the episode but was it a repeat of an episode from this year? I just don't understand people who watch a repeat of a recent episode. I at least wait 5 years before I watch an old episode - never on TV though (DVDs, downloads, online). Members wingwalker
It was one from last season. I actually think it might have been the episode Jim Parsons won his Emmy with, but not sure. Even if POI gets renewed next year, I can definitely see CBS having a 2 hour Comedy Block here next year, with Big Bang being the 9pm anchor. Administrator Toups Posted October 15, 2011 Author Administrator Share Posted October 15, 2011 Ah okay. Thanks. If you go for a 2 hour block, I still think keeping TBBT at 8pm to lead things off would be best. At 9pm, put Mike & Molly - Melissa McCarthy's becoming a big star. Then 8:30 and 9:30, you try out new shows. I can't believe we're talking about next year's schedule already! LOL But I love talking about schedules with you. Members wingwalker
That could work. If 2 Broke Girls keeps beating HIMYM like BBT used to when it was in that slot, I can see it getting the BBT treatment & moving to 9:30 next season and Mike & Molly moving, either as the Thursday 8pm anchor or the 9pm one like you suggested. It is a bit early, but you know that some execs at CBS are doing the exact same thing, LOL. I love chatting schedules and ratings with you as well Toups.
