Wow...that new Nelly Furtado video is soo good! I'm so glad she decided to release that song as a single..it's probably my favourite song of hers. :D

Just watched the Xavier Naido video...great song and video.

 I have no idea who Crazy Frog is. In fact, I don't know how so many of these albums manage to top the lists.

Is the Top 100 you're referring to singles? Maybe it's a European thing but I rarely ever see singles by rock artists being put out here nowadays. That type of thing happened in the '90s but now, the only ones who seem to sell singles are those with major record companies who wanna promote the heck out of certain artists.

Canada's Top 100 is in reference to the albums, not the singles...so there is a lot more variety in the top 100. Same thing with radioplay..and like you said, radioplay doesn't necessarily mean the albums sell.

Random comments about Canada's charts...

I cannot fathom how Il Divo managed to get 2 albums up so high. I have never heard anything by them, really.

Again...songs I like are in purple.

The good thing about our Top100 is that every music genre has the chance to chart because it's based on sales and downloads only. The airplay chart is independent and is not an official chart.

We also don't censor music, so we get to hear all the f- and other dirty words.

I'm kinda shocked that the damn Crazy Frog is in your Album Top30. :o

I was wrong about Monrose's release date - their single will hit the charts next week.

Silbermond climbed back on top, and Nelly Furtado is the highest new entry this week.

I'm stealing your purple idea ;)

And orange are the songs that are older, but I still love them.

Randon Comments:

- Five new entries in the top ten for albums with half being francophone albums (I find that kind of odd, actually...the Edmonton chart explains why I think that is).

- Four months after my last chart post, Crazy Frog is finally gone from the Top 30 album list. In fact, they are all the way down to #96. :o

- Four artists are still in the Top 30 list: Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Akon, and the Dixie Chicks

- It's unfortunate that David Usher hasn't broken into the Top 30 album list considering his first single is getting a lot of radio airplay. He's at #56. Nonetheless, that video for "Music" is one sweet video! :o Plus there's shirtless David..*sigh*. Go check it out...

- Can't say I'm a big fan of Nickelback anymore but I like the song (and video for) "If Everyone Cared".

- The new Avril song is overly poppy yet shockingly catchy. Plus, I like the video!

- Even more surprising is that I actually like half the songs on the radio airplay list.

- Love Shakira. "Beautiful Liar", however, not so much. :(

Songs I like are in purple.

    • Anyone have predictions on whats going down at Winterfest and what are yall wearing lol ?
    • Thanks for posting this, how fun!  LOL at this 80s windbreakers. I just love MOL - he's so funny and charming to me. I'd love to have met his mother, she sounds like a fun lady.
    • I mean, it is called the Dr Tom Horton Free Clinic, so it was kind of... a given he'd be talked about predominately? No?
    • Yeah, I wasn’t really moved by the gala either. They talked so much about Tom… but what about Alice? Mickey? And Bill! Honestly, I would’ve preferred the Hortons just sitting in the living room at the Horton house, reminiscing, with more rare flashbacks. No need for a big gala.
    • Gosh, Suzanne is such a classic - truly a beautiful person, inside and out.

    • HBS loves Gregg Marx, and often tells the story about how difficult it was filming bed scenes with Marx, while she was six month pregnant. At the time the show chose to hide her pregancy, but HBS was big. She used to joke that it was three in that bed (her, Marx and her stomach) and since Marx didn't much experience with pregnant women, he didn't know how to coordinate his body over hers to hide her stomach. Which HBS found hilarious everytime they had to do a bed scene.
    • Tut tut Jack wore no condom. And it was a shipwreck. Jennifer managed to pack her diaphragm when the boat went down and insert it right before her cave sex. Far more plausible
