Bo/Nora/Clint/Matthew/Destiny: Matthew was paralyzed due to a car accident caused by Cole. Matthew sued his parents to get permission to consent to having back surgery. He won, but Bo and Nora tried to turn the tables on him by shipping him to a boarding school in London. Soon after, Matthew met Tea's secret daughter, Danielle, said goodbye to best friend Destiny, and the two escaped to Seattle so he could have his operation and Danielle could get in touch with her father (or who she thinks is her father) Ross. Bo and Nora, meanwhile, have declared their love for one another after all these years even though Nora's married to Clint.

Todd/Blair/Tea/Ross: Blair, burned by John breaking up with her, began scheming to get Todd back in her life. After scheming (and flirting) with Ross, Tea's husband, Blair learned that Tea and Ross had a child... who was really Todd's! Todd found out that Tea was married to Ross and dumped her and is currently on the verge of learning the truth about Danielle.

Jessica/Natalie/Brody/Jared/John: Jessica and Natalie were alarmed when Nash seemed to be trying to communicate with Jessica from the grave. Brody and John began to investigate the strange occurrences and were shocked when the evidence pointed to Jared being behind the strange events. After Jared disappeared, Jessica and Natalie were lured to Napa, where they were reunited with Jared, Nash's corpse... and a very much alive Mitch Laurence!

Rex/Gigi/Stacy/Kim/Schuyler: Rex slept with Gigi's sister Stacy after months of being manipulated and got her pregnant. Stacy miscarried and scrambled to get pregnant again. She found fertile ground in Oliver Fish, who slept with her in a drunken stupor. Stacy's best friend Kim came to town to help Stacy break up Rex and Gigi, while Gigi began to grow strong feelings toward Schuyler. In the middle of all the drama, Rex has just learned that Mitch Laurence is his father!

Rachel/Shaun/Greg: Rachel began casually dating Shaun and was having a nice time, until she met his hotshot doctor brother Greg, who believed he could help Matthew walk again. Greg immediately got under Rachel's skin and the two eventually kissed - just as Shaun was shot while protecting the Cramers from a break-in! Greg operated on Shaun, who was left comatose, and vowed never to perform surgery again. Shaun miraculously woke up and was devastated when Rachel dumped him... for Greg!

Christian/Layla/Kyle/Fish: Christian, Layla and Fish became cautious roommates when they were all strapped for cash. Layla began to date Fish, who Christian believed was hiding something. After snooping around and talking to Kyle, Christian learned that Fish was gay and had had an affair with Kyle in college. Layla, who suspected Fish was gay, challenged Fish to tell her the truth. After a bad, drunken night in which Fish slept with town slut Stacy, he finally came out and found support and friendship in Christian and Layla. After accidentally coming out on national television, Fish stopped Kyle from marrying new boyfriend Nick in a mass commitment ceremony and the two were reunited. Christian and Layla, meanwhile, realized that they could love again and became a couple.

Viki/Charlie/Dorian/David: Viki and Dorian decided to run for Mayor, which re-ignited their long rivalry. Charlie stood by Viki, while Dorian and David couldn't get along long enough to get any work done. Dorian was later manipulated by Amelia Bennett, head of the Llanview Gay and Lesbian Alliance, who coerced Dorian into making her campaign all about gay rights. Dorian took the idea ten steps further, holding a mass commitment ceremony and marrying Amelia! David, devastated, relocated to London to stay at the Buchanan compound while Viki and Charlie were distracted by Jessica, Natalie and Jared's troubles.

    • I found it to be a rather odd way to deal with a character departing for parts unknown.
    • Today reminded me as to why I’m a little disappointed in the name that the new Pope chose

Luckily, EJ and Johnny, and pretty much every other character saved today’s episode.  I didn’t expect Javi to be the one to save Sarah though, and I don’t mind it at all, because if it means that Javi is finally going to get his own identity/character, away from his douchy bf, I’m all for it. Javi’s scenes would’ve been a lot better had it not been for him. EJ and Johnny were the best part of today. Their conversation hit a lot of important beats and I’m so looking forward to seeing them play out. And now that EJ knows that Johnny is going to work for Xander, that opens up another dynamic to their storyline and to the Kiriakis family storylines as well. Tying them all together could be really good. There are so many story possibilities that can come out of this. And I thought Carson Boatman did a pretty good job again too.  I also liked that Johnny was there to comfort Chanel after everything that happened with Sarah. They’re so good together. But I do have mixed feelings about Chanel possibly forgiving Johnny so quickly. Hopefully, the question that she asked him at the end of today leads to more conflict for the two of them.  And yeah, still no changes in Alex’s character lol
    • Awesome, thanks so much for taking the time to grab this episode. I had a quick review of your rip because I was curious why it was 700MB and 30 minutes. The first 10 minutes of the episode is 3169 (opening credits at 5 minutes and again at 15 minutes). I thought we had the full HD version of ep.3170 on the YouTube channel, but it appears they added the wrong episode but labelled it 3170.
    • I guess, according to Mike Manning in the Michael Fairman chat, he was almost Derek

    • That's a name I haven't heard in a minute. Thanks!
    • Well, since I'm still up unexpected past my growing-into-it bedtime. lol.   I finally got to rewatch Monday's. I even rewatched Friday's to take it all in. Now that we got the reveal and hit the climax of the SilkPress Sheila storyline, now we get to watch the aftermath and/or turns that come with its climax. So far, so good. Friday left us with three cliffhangers. And what I found surprising was how I felt about them over a rewatch.    I know some of you all felt a way about the dialogue during Kat vs Eva. I remember liking it more the first time around and it was nice for them to have these scenes to establish more of a frenemy vibe for them going forward. That still held up. But I found myself agreeing with you all about that dialogue. lol. Still, it was nice to have both of their POVs.   Second up was Silk Press Sheila vs the Duprees. And I was happy to get a brief spat with Dani in there. But the rest standouts for me was Anita and Martin. Haters can hate and given the tail end of the episode, I will agree to a fault, but Brandon has impressed and he was on fire on Monday and had great subtle work on Friday. And that subtle work made it all the better. Like I believe I said when I was watching...BC has a much better grip on his character and seems to be realizing what his tics are so has started to be able to know when to turn it up and when to dial it down. And for the most part (emphasis on most), he got that. Meanwhile, TT was giving fierceness, and I was here for every minute of it. Her reading SilkPress. Her being quip about it. Her 'BE STILL.' Ooooo she had a chokehold on me as Anita gave what I was expecting her to SilkPress. WORTH THE WAIT. I also loved Vernon's CHOOSE SILENCE. I wonder though if SilkPress will figure out Martin's condition from her observing Anita and Vernon with him.   And speaking of worth it...Oooo YES Nicole vs Ted was worth totally worth it. Oooooo I knew DD would nail it, and it was all so well done. The fight between the part of Nicole who is a therapist vs Nicole as a woman who wants to express how she feels. And being so angry. And how there would be moments when it would shoot out of her. And how she would restrain herself. But how she felt she should not be restrain. Just the levels of processing and layers. And DD played it all so well. I do wish Maurice gave just a little bit more, but overall, I thought he did a good job even if it was just Ted coming across as a deadbeat and not at all redeemable. And Kat being there for her mother was so beautiful.   Minority, but I love the montage though yes, it did run a little long. Given how the Duprees like to bond (and also as I mentioned from my own very recent family experiences), it did not seem out of place to me.     That said...let's see how the aftermath worked in today's episode. Overall. Cuz RC can be hit or miss.
    • I wonder whose brilliant (

) idea it was to do an almost complete rip-off of the "who killed Tom King"-storyline. That's some quality style writing right there.....
