September 18, 200718 yr Member Yeah those B&W kinescopes have popped up--liek I said I know of three full eps that I personallyhave saved from 1970/71 I'm not sure the ones I saw were kinescope. I'm not the best judge of such things but these didn't have that grainy quality that I associate with kinescope. They were mostly Tara and Dr Martin talking about Phil Brent from what I recall.
September 19, 200718 yr Author Member If they were B&W they were kinescopes--AMC always aired in colour, so that's the sure fire way to tell. One of the two from the I Love Lucci marathon on Soapnet had a lot of Tara and Dr Martin talkign about Phil Brent in it--nto sure if it was the same one
September 25, 200718 yr Author Member I pulled out some of my huge box of tapes of old epsiodes, since I think I want to transfer some liek my Daytime to Remember eps... I always knew that some eps of Daytime to Remember featured edited eps--to fit an hour show in a 30 minute slot (OLTL sadly got a lot of their hour shows shrunk to 30) but I didn't know some longer eps, shown in two parts still had edits. Comparing the 1979 AMC, Tom confront erica about birth control ep on the I Love Lucci marathon and the Daytime to Remember they open with diffewrent scenes that aren't in each others!! The DTR started with Langley driving up to Phoebe's mansion (location shot) and coming in and talking--on the I Love Lucci marathon they don't show these two till their second scene--and Lucci's has a brief opening scene with Mona not on the other copy-otherwise the epiosdes are pretty much identical. Very odd
