Stephen King and Soaps

Stephen King used to watch soap operas when he was starting out as a young writer. He admitted it in his nonfiction book/autobiography called "On Writing". It helped him with his creativity and inspiration. This is why he pays close attention to relationships in his novels.

Also, Julia Roberts is a fan of Days of Our Lives. She voted for it-- twice--at the People's Choice Awards.

We should never feel guilty about watching soaps. A lot of people who publicly denounce soaps are probably too scared to admit that they watch them in secret. Hillary Clinton is someone who comes to mind.

Sheryl Crow once said, "If it makes you happy, it can't be that bad." :)

Roy Rogers and his wife were big GL fans.

There are many other examples as well of some big name fans.
