This article says that Kevin Reilly, the entertainment executive for NBC, is going to be replaced by Ben Silverman. I just wonder if this will affect the daytime line up. I can't remember, was he the one itching to cancel Days???? If he is being replaced, there is a possibility Days could continue on NBC past 2009. This could be really good news!!!

It is really bad news. Jeff Zucker, the one that fired Reilly is the one itching to cancel DAYS and is the one that pushed for Today: Hour Four and the cancellation of Passions on NBC.

If Zucker stays, NBC and DAYS fans are screwed for years to come.

Just as ESPN on ABC has taken over ABC Sports, don't think MSNBC on NBC won't do the same for News during NBC's daytime lineup.

This new guy won't be the big boss then and he works for Zucker? How do we get Zucker fired then??? Shouldn't he be the one that is blamed for the poor state that NBC is in if he runs the show???

Jeff Zucker is in charge of NBC Universal. He controls all NBC Networks (USA, Bravo, Sci Fi, the NBC O&O affiliates, websites, etc that fall under the NBC umbrella) and if he is dead set on something he won't let up when others differ from his opinion.

He was even the one that gave Reilly a new deal in March, but only fired the guy this weekend because of NBC's early poor showing after the upfronts presentation and pressure from GE, NBC's parent company. It was either Zucker or Reilly, and Zucker left Reilly ass to be the fall guy of the mess at NBC.
