relationship.

Didn't think she liked the girl...let alone loved her and believed the girl to be the "best person she's ever known".

I was a bit dissatisfied with Alan and Ash's talk because I needed there to be some angst there, but the end of the eppy helped me to understand where they may be headed.

Ash has no idea what Alan plans to do, and this puts her on edge. She also wants to do the right thing, but let's face it, that has to be hard. Jail is a very scary concept.

Alan just may use that info at some point, but he may REALLY embrace Ash, so the shooting may be useful but perhaps against Doris... I like this!

Bravo to Harley for the boot camp.

I really enjoyed today show, and I honestly love the promise of Alan and Ash.

Sip was so right. Alan has respect for Ash because she is the ONE who pulled the trigger. No one else would have done that.

Not sure how I feel about Reva the enabler, but I will wait to see how this turns out.

I had no doubt that Doris cared for Ashlee, after all she (Doris) didn't go through the process of artificial insemination for nothing. Doris is a fighter and apparently will and has use any means necessary to get what she wants. Ashlee's self-esteem is as low as it is because Doris' own self-esteem is so low IMO. It makes no sense to me that Ashlee would shoot Alan because he rejected her. It would have made more sense for her to shoot Doris because that's who set this entire mess in motion.

I think Alan is going to blackmail Doris into giving him a divorce, but not right away ( not his style ). He's going to make her wait for the hammer to fall.

Hopefully there will not be a kinder gentler Alan Spaulding ( out of character ), I want him to continue to tell everyone on his list what they want to hear. I do think though that he will somehow get Josh out of jail.

See, I didn't know that Doris had been inseminated. Thanks for that detail.

I, too, don't wish to see a gentle Alan (unless it's with Ash), but I think it does make sense. If you listen to Ash's words when she shot Alan, Ash could not take the rejection. Her mother said that Alan would love them. Alan was very harsh in what he said to Ash. And Ash shooting her mother? That does not make sense to me because she really cares about her mother, and she didn't like Alan dissing her.

I can't wait to see Alan and Ash become close...

I'm looking at the fact that it was Doris who said Alan was going to love them, when she knew that the only reason Alan was marrying her was because she was blackmailing him. In other words, Doris lied to Ash and yes Alan was harsh but that is exactly who he is, so Doris should have been the one to get shot. Just think of all the possibilities with it being Doris--- no divorce, no getting out of jail for Josh, Ashlee would have that family she so badly craves, etc.

As for Alan and Ashlee becoming close---- not without Lizzie's approval and most certainly not without some ulterior motive.

I'm in love with Alan and his new daughter. Poor Ashlee she gets a dad cause Alan is so cracked it's not funny.

It was WHACK.

HILARIOUSLY WHACK!!

I love it.

And, she gets to stay. Only in rich, twisted warped soap families is this plausible...and we believe it..LOL

Ashley totally fits...but Doris has got to go.

' Doris, you could be the last woman on Earth, and you'd never be a Spaulding.'

So true, Alan -Michael.

And yet, twisted, hungry for love, but sweet Ashley, who's an attempted murderess..

IS A SPAULDING!

Gotta love it! :D

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
