Members bellcurve
How long do you think Meredith will be the co-host of NBC's TODAY? Rosie as moerator of THE VIEW? Katie Couric at the CBS Evening News? Here are my predictions: Meredith: 5 years Rosie: 1 Year(THE VIEW will be cancelled by then) Katiie: 3 years. Members JER Soaps Fan
A part of me hates that Katie Couric replaced Bob Schieffer, who did the unthinkable: brought ratings UP with the old 'voice of God' format. He was onto something. Plus, it sucks that he's out of a job. But another part of me wants Katie to succeed. She has worked many years as a journo and she really deserves this new job. So because of that, I DON'T want to voice my opinion on this issue. I'm afraid it would somehow jinx her. As for Rosie and "The View," I don't know why the show would be canceled. It has all the buzz it needs and ratings aren't THAT bad, are they? As for Mer, she looks pretty comfortable and blends right in with Matt, Al and Ann. I think she can go the distance. But we can't really call that until we see her first appearance.
Members WTGH
I don't think The View will see a ratings increase. The show is putting ALL it's eggs into the Rosie basket, and IMO her big mouth will turn viewers off. Disagreements between her and Elizabeth are GUARANTEED to happen. As a viewer !@#$%^&*]ing will keep me interested for after a while it gets boring and the show will become a bigger joke than it already is. I see Meredith and Katie lasting a long time at their new jobs, esp. Meredith.
Members sweetness514
I am recording for sure tomorrow, as I do NOT want to miss Rosie. I LOVE her, craziness and all, and to this day her talk show is the only one I enjoyed watching and actually watched almost everyday. But the fact that she loved reality TV helped Btw, in US Weekly there is a quote by Meredith Vieira saying that she didn't mean the show had become a joke, but that the media attention that surrounds it had made it become a joke. Not the same meaning. I will miss her on The View though, she was the best.
