  1. Let's hope this catches on across the country, although I hold out little hope. The electoral college truly is affirmative action for sparsely populated states. https://www.wdbj7.com/content/news/Colorado-Senate-passes-bill-to-essentially-eliminate-Electoral-College-505347951.html
  2. It IS a great song, certainly amazing vocal performance. I know many see it as creepy because of the society they've been brought up in, as 18 being this watermark for sexual consent. But 2/3 of the world puts it at 16... so I guess it's not so creepy in Canada, the UK, and Europe? It just makes one wonder. I was always stunned that sexual themes have always been a reason to ban a song, but MURDER is not! Another example of how the United States looks the other way when it comes to violence, but sex is dirty and must be hidden.
  3. I don't like the song.... but yes... utterly ridiculous. Mark my words, "Your'e Sixteen" (Johnny Burnette and Ringo Starr) and "Into The Night" by Benny Mardones will be next on the list. Geez, this chick thought somebody looking at the tattoo on her shoulder was creepy? Some people need to slow their roll.
  4. I'm of the opinion that Ross Perot is what cost him his re-election campaign. I still remember how ridiculous Perot's doddering running mate, Admiral Stockdale came across. Maybe when he was younger he would have worked ok... but Lord, that man didn't even seem to know who was in the room with him!
  5. That about sums it up. These turkeys on facebook never have a word to say about this modern "war on christmas" when I post half a dozen youtube videos of commercials from the 60's and 70's which all say "Happy holidays", and I casually mention that for the first half of Obama's first term, the "leftist liberals" had a filibuster proof majority, and if they want to take their guns, they would have done it already. They are just too stupid to know that the Republicans are manipulating them.
  6. He was in a hurry to get back to his hotel to change his underwear.
  7. I'm seriously hoping the Deustche bank raid will uncover laundering by Trump. That would be so delicious. Something tells me that raid is gonna be a really BIG deal, and since it was done by European authorities, Trump nor any Republican Senator can exert any pressure on them.
  8. Well... it's Mississippi.

  10. He's just dumb as a box of rocks. Maybe he can share a cell with Don Jr.
  11. She should have charges, too. First, she was dressed inappropriately for a workplace, unless this is a "hooters" type of place. But what she did could have easily cause permanent physical damage. What ever happened to just turning around and slapping a guy in the face? That would have been the appropriate reaction.
  12. Of course, there is the option of letting grudges go... and just move on. I never ignore anyone, just put on the big boy pants and handle yourself. There's WAY more important stuff going on in this country that demands our attention and our action. Trump will destroy us all to feed his ego if given half a chance. i'm not gonna piss and moan about a feature on a board that is provided to us FREE of charge. Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth.
  13. I agree with you. If a person is confident in their position on an issue, then have the confidence to discuss it. We never learn anything from living in a bubble.
  14. I am told that the lion's share of Republican votes come from Cubans, who by and large despise Mexicans, and are very conservative.
  15. So... who here has read Thom Beirdz' new book?? I'm only part way through and find myself picking my teeth up off the floor about every 5 minutes. I guess we now know he has a major love for incest porn.
  16. SUBPOENA from house Republicans? Well... his comment about being happy to answer all questions is far more generous than anything Trump has offered up.
  17. I bet it has. This is disappointing to hear. Facebook is a double edged sword, there are so many good things about it, and so much bad. For instance, before facebook, I suppose I lived in a bubble, and never knew the depth of ignorance of the American public in general. One thing it has done, give me big insight into Trump's basket of deplorables. That statement may have been a politically bad move for Hillary, but it is SO TRUE. In Missouri we have a free casenet website, where you can look someone up and see all civil and criminal action against them. The hardest core Trump supporters that troll facebook.... WELL over 50% of them have one or more multiple things going on legally, One in particular in my area is a registered sex offender that was arrested for exposing himself to a 15 year old girl. I've seen hardcore Trump lovers that are convicted felons of every stripe and permutation, at the very least, they are usually being sued by creditors and have paycheck garnishments, or tax liens against them.
  18. After George Soros and Bill and Hillary pass, The GOP is gonna have to come up with a new boogie man. I wonder who it will be? Like Rachel Maddow says, the more Trump repeats something, the less true it is.
  19. He's so stupid, it is literally beyond belief. I wonder if he ever uses his "google machine"? Yesterday, he was blabbering on about how Finland manages their forests so much better, and have almost no fires... guess what, Einstein? 90% of Finland gets between 24 and 35 inches of rain a year.... how many inches does Malibu get on average? TWELVE.
  20. The question would be this... if a third party or an independent won enough states that NOBODY got to 270 electoral votes, then what then?
  21. Well... now he's attempting to throw Admiral McRaven under the bus... but I imagine all these "patriots" will just love him all the more. Chris Wallace should have said "I'm sorry, did the end of my sentence interrupt the beginning of yours? " and when he repeated "HILLARY CLINTON FAN", he should have shot back, "I'm not deaf, I heard you the first time".
  22. All good points. That's one reason I think Ojeda would be so good, because as we all know, a career military man is basically sacred in this country, although that never stopped Trump from dragging McCain through the mud. However, we all know he'd call Mother Theresa a bitch if it suited his purpose. The political climate among low information voters (Trump voters) is so different than it was in the 70's and 80's when I was learning about politics.... it could be that I'm so freakin out of touch, that I don't know what to think today. When people who voted for Bill Clinton TWICE then turn around and call Obamacare SOCIALISM, when Tricky Dick is the one who came up with the idea... I'm just at a loss. Maybe it's not about policy at all, and the force of the man's personality. It might really be that shallow.
  23. But the problem is... if Bernie had gotten the nomination, Trump would not be in the white house today. Polls showed Bernie over Trump by 15 -18 points! People are thirsty for someone different, anybody different. That's one of the reasons Obama won, this country will just bounce back and forth, crashing against walls to get away from the establishment. That's why I think Ojeda has the best chance against Trump. No candidate is going to give you everything you want, and voters have to get over this idea that if "My guy doesn't get the nomination, then I just won't vote". OF course, the most crucial mistake of all, was Hillary and Bernie not making a pact to be the other's running mate, thus consolidating their power. Ego on both their parts caused us to have a raving lunatic for a President. Max, do you truly think he has no chance of getting the nomination? You don't see that they might have learned their lesson with what happened with Bernie? It cost them the white house. One thing that might work is a populist like him, and a more establishment running mate like Elizabeth Warren. But having a woman running mate was poison for John McCain... maybe a woman on the ticket is just plain poison PERIOD.
  24. This video give a lot of insight as to why people voted for Trump. It shows that a great deal of Americans are kind of dim bulbs, and it also shows that Americans are too damn lazy to milk a cow.
