First time in WEEKS I actually sat down and WROTE. Maybe I'll be able to finish my story after all.

Friend picked me up for a birthday brunch today...ended up in a 5-car accident caused by a couple who had just committed armed robbery, stole a car, filled it with drugs, and fled on the highway. After hitting us, they sped across two lanes of traffic into the back of another car, then the couple fled on foot down the highway. Everyone's okay. But I only JUST sat down to brunch. HUNGRY.

Given up on DAYS. A show that has given up any hope of being bold and exciting, and is perfectly content to wallow in mediocrity is not what I want to watch. I will continue to write my DAYS blog, and focus on doing the stories that I feel strongly about telling.

Considering stopping writing my DAYS for awhile. I love doing it and my stories are nowhere near done but, with my promotion at work (I started this when I was unemployed), and my desire to start working on some IRL writing projects...I don't know if I should keep going.

Two reruns of The Doctors has ruined any and all new episodes of any of the remaining soaps. Seriously.

Somehow, despite everything, Y&R is the #29 show in Canada this week, with 810,000 viewers. We're nothing if not loyal.

At least they are shopping Chrishell around, but I always felt she was an all around weak actress who could never generate much charisma, chemistry or talent to excel in any of the key aspects of film work. She's just not an actress who can readily sell drama, romance, comedy or inspire relatability. Which was her biggest problem on AMC. She always had to be carried by her opposite scene partners to make her scenes work.

Yesterday, I watched DJ for the first time and it was such a painful experience. Telling Jenn that he wants her to see him for the man his hairy dirty ass thinks he is. It was just awful and this is a prime example of TIIC choosing who their star is and force feeding that star to the audience. Awful!

Oh brother. All of Salem falls to their knees to save The Great Dr. Jonas from ruin! JJ offers to throw himself in prison! Nicole nearly ruins her own happiness! Brady magically gives up all his vices in the span of an hour! ALL FOR TO SAVE...a...guy who spent the first years in Salem shtooping a teenager, then her grandmother, then her uncle's wife...uh...then her uncle's...sister...umm...ew.

so because things can only happen in extremes, I discovered within the same 5 minutes that my best childhood friends were killed by a drunk driver this weekend, and that the short film I worked on two years ago was accepted into Cannes Film Festival. I really don't know how to feel right now.

Mutual friend hooked us up. AW's Constance Ford's neice, oddly enough. I've been really fortunate to randomly meet these really cool people this past year. She once told me about being sick in the hospital as a kid and Connie sending her flowers from Steve & Alice's wedding to the hospital. SO COOL!
