Yes. She is perceived as "high maintenance" aka "a problem". It is typical that actors get these reputations. This is the bad rep. The good rep would be "easy to work with" also funny, bright, sense of humor. Like that. Personally I also think there is a kind of culture clash. Soaps today are so different than they were before.

But that alone to me shows he has little regard for Vanessa and for Brenda as a character. Frank can't find a place for Brenda unless she rides off into the sunset with Sonny? When Lois, Sonny, Jason, Jagger, Lucy, and Deception are currently driving story on canvas? If he can find a way to "fit" 3 Michael Easton and 3 Roger Howarth characters, he can figure freakin Brenda Barrett out if he wanted to. I am not trying to negate what you heard or know, but at this point it's clear FV doesn't want Vanessa on the show, not that he can't find a place for her. Frank may not hate her or Brenda, but he certainly doesn't like her lol. I always thought the rumor about him not liking Vanessa or her behavior during the anniversary run a decade ago sounded pretty true. I don't feel negated at all! I think what you say is true. You're just expanding on my saying he has no use for her. And, we as fans know that this is despite the fact that most of GH fandom regularly wonders if Brenda is coming back & also think that she'd cause one of those much desired bumps in the ratings if she did!

I was thinking about the idea that Vanessa Marcil is an enemy of Frank's. As I understand it it's not that there's any level of enmity or antagonism. It's just that he has no use for her & no intent to cast her unless Maurice decided to retire. Because supposedly MB sees Sonny & Brenda going off together into the sunset, Ultimate EndGame.

Now, see, I thought Joss & Trina had perfect best girlfriend scenes. One day Trina was bitchy. Next day she called herself one & apologized. Joss replied no apology needed & then she apologized to Trina & they hugged it out. Trina had been stuffing her feelings for weeks. Joss was the safest person for her to let some of her anger out. People tend to go to their safest person when they're ready to vent. Agree that Sprina has been the biggest thing since Scrubs. Also, and this may be a minority opinion but I think the show is & has been very invested in Trina, much more her than they were in Spencer & there, that was a problem because she was with him.

We've just had a misunderstanding. I think it is criminal that Dan & Chris didn't write Trina's grief. She wasn't on for 3 consecutive weeks. And, even if they didn't write her mourning, she didn't just disappear! There was a great deal they could have written for her. Now, last week PM/EK had her back onscreen, 3 days, with Joss, with Stella, again with Joss & finally at graveside. So, what I was saying is if they are looking for more than that, then, it is more than she's been given, in general. 4 scenes over 2-3 days is substantial & FINALLY the new team had Trina back! I was literally told D&C had no idea what to write for her in the absence of Spencer. I have contempt for thinking like that, so impoverished is their imaginations, thought processes, ... I don't really have words for what I think of that. Sorry I wasn't clear before. This is a nitpick but technically I don't believe we have supercouples anymore. But that is a whole 'nother discussion. And, it doesn't take anything away from my considerable Sprina fandom. In 2023 she had 111 episodes & was #6 on an annual chart. Jan/Feb. 2024 17 episodes.

Slight correction required here. PM & EK didn't toss the D&C script. The decision to toss it was made simultaneous with the decision to cut D&C loose. So, that decision was made by either Frank or Frank & whomever else was involved in making the decision to fire them & change HWs. At that time EK was tasked with beginning a new Jason Returns script from scratch & PM joined her, sometime fairly quickly. And they also began cherry picking scripts to tweak & their own new stuff. There's no way they had the luxury of creating a bible, as has been said here recently.

Nothing to do with the show & the spoilers being out of synch. Just an FYI, @fem_magic is this person who arrived & announced she is here to make up sh*t & generally cause trouble. Not that it applies to this post, ...
