@YRBBStorywise all I know are things you couldn’t miss in the press like Kelli Martin getting stabbed. I remember that caught my attention because I loved her in Death of a Cheerleader. I know Dr. Greene dies of cancer because that was promoted endlessly and I know something happens with a helicopter. Beyond that I know some of the actors who join the show, but that’s it. It’s certainly unique going in so blind. My jaw is constantly dropping watching this show!

I also am finding that it’s not making me want to watch another medical drama. This is spoiling me. I feel like anything else wouldn’t be able to compare so I don’t see myself watching another one anytime soon, once I finish ER.

I guess it'd be very difficult to avoid those major moments. A shame about Kelli Martin because that's the biggest shocker so far - but there's plenty more to it, so I'm excited to see your reaction to that. Remain as spoiler free as you can!

And certainly the show is hard to top.

  2. About to start Season 10. Excited to see what they bring.

Three episodes into season 2 and I understand why people say to skip season 1.

I haven't seen Season 1 since 2008 when I first started properly watching the show but I get it. As far as I recall, Season 1 had a heavy emphasis on the medical and hadn't quite found itself yet. I enjoyed most of it but was bored a few times. But I had to see it all from the beginning. After all these years, I'm getting excited to rewatch and see if I feel differently.

    a character called Kerry Weaver.

"A character called Kerry Weaver" 😭 I guess you really don't know much about the show! lol I love it. And you'll love Weaver. Her story never stops to evolve, surprise, and intrigue.

    Some random thoughts...

Gloria Reuben definitely should’ve played Victoria Rowell’s sister at some point. I love how ER balances screentime so everybody doesn’t peak at once. Season two did such a good job of developing her character and that HIV reveal was incredible! The fallout has been great as well. She is doing an amazing job with this story. She has to portray so many layers of emotions while balancing how she can act with each character due to keeping her status a secret. I am exhausted for her!

Jeanie! Her story was exhausting and heartbreaking. Loved every minute of it but I do wish they had lightened up with her even a little bit every now and then.

I have to admit that I haven't taken a proper look at them, yet. I've been watching those German 1996 episodes and have now reached September - yearly episode counts are coming soon...

I can certainly understand the temptation! Looking forward to those episode counts.

A kind person on Twitter reached out to me and I told them to just upload to the main 1994 folder and that I'd rely on the community to figure out the original air dates. :)

Yep! What's most important is to have the episodes. Everything else can be figured out later.

I posted a list for February, above. Never renamed them cause I wasn't totally sure, but I guess I  should just label them. Haven't looked at March, but it's only 6 episodes.

    Thanks for that!

    You all are making nervous.

I haven't started Season 3 yet except for the first few minutes and I liked it. But like I said earlier...perhaps I will feel different due to my writing leanings. Then again, I did not like Season 2 as much as Season 1 the first time around. The second time around...it holds up much, much better.

And that reveal with Dolores in the S2 finale still holds up great.

I will say this: The first half of Season 3 worked better for me than the second half. But you are very right: Once I came back to the show, I felt very different about Season 2, so maybe Season 3 needs a rewatch down the line.

@YRBB so I have arrived at Shogun World again. lol.

Did you make it to the ending this time?

    I loved Shogun World!

I did, I'm officially caught up.

I'm finding it hard to decide where I stand with Season 3. The show changed SO much. I can roll with that. But, overall, I think it was a disappointment. It didn't quite click for me and I think a lot of climactic stuff was sort off a let down. Still, I'll be watching.

Is anyone else having trouble with The Doctors website?  I hadn't been for quite a while but when I go to https://watchthedoctors.com/home, I get a message saying it's not a safe site.  I've attached a picture below.  This site used to work so that I could see subscription options and episodes available.  Has something changed?  I am getting an Amazon Fire Stick this weekend.   I hope it will be available there but I will still need to be able to subscribe.

    Thanks!

The website no longer exists. They have partnered with/moved to https://watch.itsrealgoodtv.com/. There were several emails sent out announcing the move, maybe you have them in Spam or something.

I loved Brenda’s Ashley, but Davidson’s has that extra spark, especially in regards to her family dynamics.  Her Ashley has enough bite to take on either version of Jack, Nikki or Victor.  And she was always so great in scenes with Dina, because the betrayal was always right there.

Brenda’s was softer, possibly more mature and did not really have that mean side that Eileen’s could sometimes bring out.  I did love her in the role too though!

    +1

  8. Thank God Kelly became a coke fiend!

Season 6 is pretty good, despite the loss of Charles Rosin. The first half is certainly propelled forward by the storylines he left in place and the great Toni story but once those stories wrapped up, things started flatlining a little bit. Thankfully, Kelly decided to "deviate her septum" and things are heating up.

And I've got to give Jennie Garth props. I used to be a little hard on her but she's doing wonderful work as an addict. It just feels real.

Do any of the soaps have a chance in landing on it? Love to see classic ATWT episodes.

They do have a Dark Shadows Channel...

I doubt it though, not with music costs and licensing rights and whatnot

Classic episodes of TPIR on Pluto include a good bit of licensed music for showcases, but I'm not sure what the particulars are about that.

Sadly, ATWT or anything P&G is not likely to happen. It's not about music and licensing rights, at least not when it comes to P&G. I believe it was RetroTv who wanted to do reruns of THE EDGE OF NIGHT like they do with THE DOCTORS and P&G told them they're not interested. I'm sure someone here can provide/remember more details.
