B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
The actor playing Anthony fit the dark character hiding under a handsome, charming face to a tee. Anthony was also a talented designer. Sally fell hard for him but she was always a sucker for a pretty face-Bucky Boy anyone? It was kind of sad how infatuated she was with him, even moving him in with her. Anthony went to a really dark place and it was rather shocking. I liked Ivana but they did a 180 on her character to fit Anthony's evil plans. Michael Sabatino was perfect for this part and Anthony drove a lot of story for a while. I still miss the fashion aspect of the stories at B&B. I have heard that they are too expensive to the show but when they were eliminated it took the show to the lowest common denominator-triangles and endless partner swapping, often seeming incestuous due to the small cast. Classic B&B is a treat. Current B&B-not so much.

B&B August 2022 Discussion Thread
She's Stuffy to me and I don't care what that loon killer mother of hers wants. Ridge is married even if he is the original waffler. Thought the high and mightyTaylor WRP, had morals. Guess they are as flexible as her daughter's.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES Moves to Peacock From NBC on September 12
I think this is utterly stupid. How can the one in control of the show possibly think that people will pay to watch the trash RC puts out as entertainment? The show is so bad and has been during his tenure. The payoffs are zero and the plots are utterly ridiculous. It would have been better, imo, to get a competent writer in to usher the old lady out in style and be done with it. This way it will die an ignominious death on the least watched streaming service with a sliver of an audience.

B&B August 2022 Discussion Thread
Why can't Stuffy be happy her husband, who actually wants her and only her, is alive? She still is pushing for her criminal, pathetic Mommy to be with Daddy, who is married. I find it so amazing that the Tridge brats forget when Mommy was off being dead, Brooke loved them and treated them like her own. Now they hate her and want to destroy her life at any opportunity. Imagine if the show wrote true and logical angst instead of unbelievable, white-washed crap.

I am with you. For the most part I liked Caroline but on Days the character is insufferable. Has there ever been a screecher like entitled, brat Sarah???

B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
I am just a general B&B fan, mostly, but I love Brooke. I like most characters but some are just standouts. Stephanie I hated and I loved but she absolutely drove the show, along with Brooke. Location shoots are some of my favorite stories because of the incredible beauty involved. Also the former lush sets just made B&B a treat for the eyes to watch. My favorite period of the show is 1987-mid 1998. I did really tire of HT leaving and her character being killed then popping back up, often unbelievably so, to wreak havoc on the show. I guess my peeve was that HT wanted to do other things but didn't really make it so she came back(over and over). In contrast, Joanna Johnson came back as a twin and the dynamic was so different I really enjoyed Karen. Bridge was always my favorite couple, despite some of the writing for Ridge. OR Ridge only. TK is a terrible Ridge for me. I never get any real passion from him. But I did love Brooke and Thorne. That coupling drove lots of great story, not the least of which was Stephanie going nuts on Brooke at Big Bear. Thorne and Brooke had such a good friendship that segued into romance. KKL and WH have great chemistry. The rose petals showering down on Thorne and Brooke at the end of the wedding ceremony was so romantic. Ah...

B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
The clip of Thorne seeing Macy was actually in Venice. Thorne was devastated after finding Ridge kissing Brooke in their bed. It was a huge setup by Ridge and Eric to prevent Throne and Brooke from continuing as a couple. Eric and Stephanie were at home. She was recovering from her stroke and in a wheelchair. This led to the quicky marriage of Thorne and Macy. The other clip above is where Brooke had gone to visit Thorne for seduction and hid under his bed. Macy came in the make love with Thorne and discovered Brooke. The first part of the reveal is hilarious. Wish I could post it.

B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
I am really enjoying watching some of the old episodes provided through the vault. I have many episodes myself. In fact, I may have some of the episodes listed as missing. Looking forward to more 1994 episodes. It was one of my favorite years. Lots of things happened. And it was all big and grand. It is so sad that B&B has had to downsize the production so much these days.

ARTICLE: INTERVIEW: Chandler Massey Gets to the ‘Heart of the Matter’
I watched the movie. Chandler was wonderful and truly gave the audience a sense of Henry as a disabled man striving for independence but having to deal with a serious health issue. It was sad for me to see how Henry's mother was so easily persuaded to take out her grief on the doctor. To be fair, she was a good and decent woman and came to the correct conclusions eventually. But a lot of damage was done and I felt the movie used a very thin excuse to blame the doctor. Love Gail O'Grady, however. But it was a treat to see Chandler expand his acting in a difficult role.

B&B April 2022 Discussion Thread
I don't get the hoopla about killing off Finn. He was a weak character that never had more than an inch of depth to his characterization. For a doctor he was extremely gullible and stupid. Right off the bat he let Steffy off the hook for cheating on him for no reason whatsoever except for her perennial itch for Liam(or any man Hope has). Then his interactions with Sheila, given all the history one has to assume Steffy spelled out for him in detail, were too naive for words. He had a good mother. Beyond curiosity, what was the appeal of a criminal for a Mommy? TN is good looking but his acting needs some work. He is more compelling in Liberty Bibberty commercials than in B&B. IMO, the loss of Aly Forrester was huge compared to Finn. She was a legacy and poor Thorne's only family. Steffy and Taylor killed his whole family. Aly could have been a rival and truth teller for the bully Steffy, who never has to pay for any of her sins. Guess that's why Aly had to go. Loved the actress too.

REPORT: B&B: Star Out!
I'm still waiting to see something that will change the show forever. Arrogant Ridge glued to mewling, air headed Taylor is not new. Steffy browbeating anyone who gets in her way is certainly nothing new. Sheila shooting two people at once-again not new. Waffle Jr. Liam bouncing back to poor wounded Steffy has been repeated too many times. At this point, I think there are no surprises-just disappointments once again. I miss Bill Bell.

What Are You Listening To?
Went to see "Fracture" today! I give it five out of five. Absolutely fabulous. No one delivers like Anthony Hopkins! Ryan Gosling was great too. The time flew by while watching this riveting chess match between Ted and Willy. If you like psychological dramas, this movie is for you.

What Are You Listening To?
"Premonition" with Sandra Bullock and Julian McMahon. I'd give it three out of five stars. It was dark, of course, and I didn't see as much as I wanted of Julian, but I did enjoy it. The ending was not exactly what I expected and I mean the very end. I always like Bullock, except for "Forces of Nature" and I've loved Julian since he showed up on "Another World" opposite Judi Evans.
