CM really has no lips. It's disconcerting. How I wish BM was coming back. Bet KeMo does too. I guess 'Terra' [(c) Michelle Stafford] is being written out, huh. Murder mystery?- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Hot take? Jen Shah mini-me.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Part Deux of that trailer is below. I really, really dislike that no-neck troll Jen Shah. Once again screaming and jabbing two-inch press-ons in people's faces. Get out of here with that sh!t. Why is no-one bringing up the leaked footage of her verbally abusing the designer? When Meredith turned and said "WHO IS CALLING WHO A FRAUD?" I got chills! Yessh Meredith Marksh! Heather once again desperate to be Jen Shah's BFF. Girl, she is going to use you and throw you away like Kleenex. I didn't need to see Whitney covered in mud being spanked by her husband. Too little Lisa Barlow in this trailer IMO. Mary and the cult. We knew it was coming.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
100%.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
@Taoboi Well, I can't wait until you get to episodes 11 and 12 when the Erika narrative hits a wall. Interesting that you see Kyle and Rinna as throwing Erika under the bus in their VTs, given what comes up in the next two epis. I, too, often see Kyle saying one thing on camera and another in the VTs. Dorit also. That may indicate that a few of The Coven are hedging their bets. However, I am also going by how some of them have been acting on WWHL in recent weeks. Kyle carefully did not say one word against Erika, which is what you would expect -- she likes to be seen as a Good Friend/Nice Person. Rinna was 100% Team Erika on Wednesday's WWHL. So instead of edging away from the dumpster fire, in public, these two have closed ranks around their friend (I still say ally, but whatev). Kyle and Dorit have long played that game where they pretend to be pals with everyone and don't really express an opinion at first and collect info from both sides. They also play to what they think the audience wants to hear in their VTs. Dorit played an incredible game of this last season where she was literally leading the toast at the end as the 'neutral voice.' That is crazy to me! Come reunion, Kyle usually has collected enough information to throw someone under the bus. You best believe that anything Garcelle and Sutton are saying to Kyle is going straight to The Coven (I know it's ridiculous and childish that I am calling this made-for-TV friendship group The Coven, but they really do operate as a tag-team/unit when reunion approaches). IMO Garcelle and Sutton are going to be the targets. Speaking of reunion, how many more episodes do we have? BH have done a great job of sustaining mystery and suspense over 12 episodes, but I'm about ready for them to land this plane in the next 4 episodes or so.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
And she was on WWHL right afterwards wearing what can only be described as clown sunglasses. Rinna on WWHL clearly thinks she is the most hilarious person on earth, and that she is very meta and 'playing the game.' What is also clear is that she really hates Garcelle. Because Garcelle sees right through her to her inauthentic, hollow core. As for the episode, Rinna and Erika were setting Garcelle up. Rinna in particular is desperate to make Garcelle look like the bad guy, so she jumped all over this opportunity. But it fell flat, because Garcelle actually did not bring up this particular info to be deliberately shady. And also because Rinna and Erika are piss-poor actors. Rinna was literally looking over her shoulder to make sure the cameraman caught her hugging Erika. Meanwhile, everything about Erika has long felt performative, like she's reciting from a script, but this episode it was like she was auditioning for Dark Shadows. Also Sutton bringing up her doubts to the group -- uh oh. You in danger, girl. The Coven is going to use that against her all the way into reunion.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I know, I made some tough cuts. Sonja is a shoo-in, as is Ramona, some would argue Porsha, too, or maybe even Sheree. Or Danielle Staub. Or Shannon? Heck, maybe Kyle shouldn't be left out either (she's just so schmoozey with other RHs, though, ugh). Would love for the RHOP ladies included, but for the first All-Stars, I think it should be the shows that started it all -- OC, NY, ATL, NJ, BH.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
If they had been serious about it being All-Stars, i.e. the greatest RHs of all time, the lineup should have been: Bethenny Jill Teresa Caroline LVP Brandi (I said what I said -- refuse to put Kyle in the category of greatness) Nene Kenya Vicki Tamra. Who do you think is the East Coast HW around which All-Stars 2 is being built? Bethenny? Nene? Gizelle?- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
So I haven't watched the episode yet. But I have seen the brief moment Blow-Up Doll Dorit decided to break her vow of silence and opine (below). "All my best maids and nannies have been multicultural/dark-skinned!" That's her ode to racial equality? Dorit, STFU and worry about the fact that Louis Vuitton has now blocked your ass from buying their stuff. Allegedly.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Couldn't have said it better myself. 👏 This is exactly how I feel about both the episode and RHONY"s future. In ATL news.... I'm not sure why she did this, but she's certainly gambling big on Simon. Rinna the Enforcer trying to intimidate anyone who doesn't sign off on Erika's narrative. Glad Garcelle is standing up to that BS.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
@Soaplovers If Dorinda comes back, Ramona is almost guaranteed an apple. Ramona is the only one Dorinda hasn't kept in touch with, and given that they were once close friends for so long, this is definitely RHONY"s prime rivalry for next season.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
Count me in as someone who hated the Langan years. The same stories going around in circles. The teenie boppers. Was Langan responsible for the alien twins? Because that's about when I decided to tune out. DH played John Black as perpetually on the point of orgasm. Primal Man sending out ultra-powerful pheromones to the good females of Salem. Deidre Hall literally played Marlena as almost unable to stay upright in his musk-laden presence, so it worked. I feel like the John-Kristen scene was more romance-novel swoony than sexual, but god bless the early 90s soaps for giving us viewers the goods! We did not know how good we had it until prim moralising and cost-cutting forced soaps to abandon meaningful love scenes which could fill up a whole episode! I honestly think this is a major reason why Daytime shed viewers in the last two decades: they just didn't want to put in the work when it came to couples and romance and love scenes. Days was a master at this!- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos

Thank you for filling in the missing pieces of my very soap-like amnesia! Suddenly I'm remembering Jen and Peter together, and Billie's dream. Night Sins was definitely the pièce de la résistance, with Carly leaving Bo for 'Larry' in dramatic fashion, and of course the Titan conference room table which will never not be iconic.- Santa Barbara Discussion Thread
I know Santa Barbara was on its last legs by this point (maybe cancellation was already a done deal), but this is still 100 times more luxurious set-wise than most soaps today! Also, I think Eileen Davidson and Charles Grant had a lot of chemistry. This is definitely swoony, romantic early-90s soapiness. I kind of love it!- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
I think with GL ending, CC was definitely working her fanbase, especially her LGBQT fans, and I remember here on SON there was some distaste expressed about that. I do admire that she got into producing, though, and looked into other avenues to expand her career. I also remember Nelson Branco being a massive supporter of CC. OH that TV Guide ad! This really takes me back! My parents would get TV Guide at the supermarket and then my brother and I would pour over it for ages to figure out what TV shows, soaps and movies to watch. I loved these kind of ads, especially for Daytime soaps and Movies of the Week! They were actually very effective marketing when you think about it. I'm sure somebody already posted this on this thread, but here is the episode when Sami told Marlena she knew what she and John did on the Titan conference room table! Also lots of John moaning with Kristen. Good times.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
Glad I didn't keep up with Maggie the circus performer. From the very beginning, the part felt very ill-conceived for CC, and the interaction with JdP awkward. She did go on to GL where she regained a popularity CC grabbed with both hands (and a much-talked-about L-Word-esque web-soap). Re: Winter Heat. I blacked out on the Carrie/Austin stuff (snore), but I do remember Vivian getting admitted into the same mental hospital Laura was. Something about springing her, and then showing up at Victor & Kate's wedding and stopping the wedding? Anyhoo, the mental hospital was run by an evil doctor and his acolytes who sensed that Vivian was a troublemaker, so they decided to lobotomize her. They put her to sleep, shaved her head and prepared to drill into her skull with some buzzsaw tool (cue closeup of tool inching closer to Vivian's scalp). Luckily, Ivan saved the day, got her awake, and he and a bald Vivian (!!) went to free Laura. The vengeful head of the loony bin decided this was a good time to set fire to the place. If I recall, Vivian sprang all the inmates out of the place before it could burn to the ground. Because, her people. It was wild. I'm pretty sure JER must have written this because it was just SO campy. I remember Never Say Never (honestly, this Bond film title) being promoted and repeated all over the place, and as a soap fan I really wanted to watch it, but I just never got around to it! I do recall something about Dee saying Jane did her hair all the time, which I thought was cute. Shame they aren't close anymore.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
I just want to say that I have been lurking on this thread the past few days, unable to comment because of work, but lapping up this walk down memory lane. I started watching Days in the late 80s, and the whole Patch & Kayla era, and later got into Carly, Lawrence Alamain, RKK!Bo and Billie. I have VERY fond memories of that time. Carly was my fave heroine, but hey, at least now I know why she and Sabatino -- who had played a great psychopath on Knot's Landing years before -- were written off the show! I remember CC later landed up on OLTL afterwards playing an ex-nun I think? Anyway I tried watching, but the anti-chemistry between her and James DePaiva was too great. Also remember the Days Primetime specials One Stormy Night and Night Sins! Everyone I knew watched those and screamed through them. Literally Must-Watch TV. Never watched Never Say Never; The Deidre Hall Story but I remember it being advertised. Also I need to know what the gossip is about Dee and Shane/Jane. Is it what I think it is?- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
#La Comtesse was in Paris?? Her natural habitat? Production should be dispatched to France ASAP to film her every move (also, one-half of Victoria and Noel's extended de Lesseps family live over there). Then they could have screened it and I would have been salivating over the locations! Haven't seen yesterday's episode but I'm feeling scared, lol. I did see QuaranLeah insisting on being there via Zoom which... 😬 After hearing Dorinda on Danny Pellegrino's podcast, there is little doubt in my mind that she will be back. She's definitely aiming for a kinder, gentler Dorin this time, but you realise how much she brings to the show. And I can't believe I'm going to say this... I am going to deeply regret these words, I know it... but I guess bring Bethenny back as a Dorinda ally. As long as the show doesn't become The Bethenny Show, Sponsored by Skinnygirl (Also Starring Other Great Housewives We Edited Down to Make Room for Bethenny Narrating Everything). This is an ensemble cast and that's what I want to see.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Had to post this. Back in 2010, before she got the BH gig, Rinna and Harry Hamlin had their own reality show on TVLand called Harry Loves Lisa. Here they are hawking it on Today with Hoda and Kathie Lee. And suddenly a call comes in during the interview that their clothing store "in the Valley" (thanks Kathie Lee) is being robbed. Hoda and Kathie Lee's faces are priceless. They really are not feeling them.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'm 100% Team Jennifuh but this left me Re: Wendy, she is definitely trying to imitate a (whispery-voiced) Jen Shah. The problem is that Jen Shah is a pale imitation of somebody else -- pre-fraud Erika Girardi -- who herself is a pale imitation of a 1950s B-movie starlet. It is Xeroxed copy on top of Xeroxed copy on top of Xeroxed copy of an actual human being, someone who pours all their effort into this OTT fake image because they don't like their real selves. It makes me sad that Wendy felt insecure about herself to this point. There was a moment in Sunday's episode where Wendy told Karen she overdid it with the Ray thing, and you know, she was right. It was a glimpse of the Wendy I would like to see more of -- she talked to Karen straight but kindly. Next week, we see the GEBs using Wendy's personality transplant to go after her, and consequently, she will be defending her marriage from a position of relative weakness. Because now they've all noticed the new Wenday. "But now we said it!" etc.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
OMG @Cheap21 your avatar- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Not Ms. DRAG ME MONIQUE and HIT ME MICHAEL DARBY preaching to Giz and Karen to let it go! She nursed her grudges against Ashley and Monique for years. (And now she's got a new one with Karen to obsess over). She never lets anything go, judging by her deliberately trying to exclude Ashley from group events. Plus it's clear from the scene between Gizelle and Ashley this episode that there is a bond built over the 6 seasons. I'm not sure the GEBs enjoy Candiace's company quite as much. And as petty and nothingburger as Karen's gripe over 'wishing death on Ray' is (it's really just for the show)... when is someone going to point out Gizelle's asinine demand that Karen apologise for 'lying' about her and Jamal? Google Maps from space can see it is a made-for-TV relationship. Gizelle thinks that if she can get Karen to apologise, it will somehow render Monique's exposure of her at reunion null and void.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
That part stood out the most. Wasn't Wendy her ride-or-die last year when Candiace was pulling out the pointy napkin and crying about betrayal? IMO Candiace has been angling for the role of ally to the GEBs for the past 2-3 years, ever since she spilled to Giz about Monique's Amistad comment. Last year presented her with the perfect opportunity to fully jump ship. I also have a theory that Candiace stays perpetually mad at Ashley because Ashley has had that GEB Ally role for many seasons, and she wants that spot Also: Candiace is That Girl who finds the microphone on the bus and loudly hogs it for the whole journey. I really liked Mia this episode. Her story about growing up in foster care was moving. Couldn't believe the UNMITIGATED GALL ((c) Candy Ass) of Gizelle demanding Karen apologize for 'lying' about her relationship! Where was the lie?! Karen "Are you talking to me?" 😊 @Taoboi I totally agree with you re: Wendy. She is a whole different person this season, and it is not natural. In fact, it feels like she has regressed in some way. Like this is how she feels someone on a RH show would act. Also, her new baby voice drives me nuts too. It is the vocal equivalent of a limp handshake. Next week, though... next week seems to flip a lot of what I wrote on its head! - AMC Alum Joins General Hospital
