Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
When Alexis showed up and went straight up to Tamra and congratulated her and said she was there to support her, I kind of felt proud of Alexis. It seemed like she was trying to make amends, and that's why I defended her in my earlier post. She talked about how Tamra showed her and Vicki the plans for the gym and how it meant a lot to her... BUT then she opened her mouth and had to make it all about her and her "couture" line. It was, like, girl, stop. Just be modest and let Tamra have her moment in the sun. The other women were not in the mood to hear Alexis fall back into her fake "I am a businesswoman, too, you guys!" talk. It's like she can't help herself trying to one-up another person. If she had apologized about threatening to sue, that might have made helped. Alexis was Mean-Girled at Tamra's event, for sure, and has been Mean-Girled by Tamra for years, but it was her place to extend the hand of friendship. All she sees is the meanness done to her, rather than the underlying reasons for that meanness. If she came to terms with that, then maybe she would accept a modicum of responsibility. And by doing that, she would show that she is trying to become a better human being. Instead she just plays victim and hides behind her 'Crishtianity.'

Heather is love. But while Alexis is definitely wearing out the B word every five seconds, I can kind of understand her hurt. Should she have come to Tamra's dinner party in a warehouse gym opening? Absolutely not. Tamra should have put her foot down and said NO from the beginning. But Tamra, Heather and Gretchen were mean-girling Alexis the entire time, rolling their eyes, not even looking at her while they were talking to her. If that's not some HS sh!t, I don't know what is. Alexis is still hurt that Gretchen moved on from her to become BFFs with Tamra, and that's a sentiment I think many of us have experienced at one time or another. The ironic thing is that Gretch is equally as insecure about the role Vicki has in Tamra's life as her former BFF as Alexis does about Tamra and Gretchen. I do think Heather was AWESOME in saying that people do not go on medication for Alexis's rich-girl problems. And this was the first time that Slade did not bug me. You could see on his face the worry he had for his son, and Gretchen tearing up talking about it was genuine, too. I felt bad for him.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Hell YES to this. Truthfully, I feel like Bravo is waiting for her to fall off the wagon for "entertainment" purposes. And this poor, haunted woman needs to be left in peace to work on her sobriety. However, I believe Kyle makes it a contractual assurance that her sister stays on the Bravo payroll, so trust that we will have lots more hand-tossing salads and Kyle crying over her sister. I also think that Kim is keen to stay on RHoBH. She was a big child star once and I don't think she ever quite got over not making the difficult transition to adult stardom. This makes up for that a little bit. REAL Camille would be an awesome (re)addition!

I wish Lisa Rinna would join -- I love her crazy ass and Andy loves her, too. I'm surprised the show hasn't asked Paris Hilton who is dying for a spot. I'm guessing those Vegas openings are drying up and her coke dealer won't return her calls until she promises to pay cash up front.

I am beyond thrilled that Duchess Yolanda is back! I was worried because at Reunion Andy seemed very cool with her, and Kyle and Kim really did a number on her character, trying to tear up the Lisa/Brandi/Yol triumverate. Even on this Monday's WWHL with Camille, Andy was asking Camille ("one of my favorite HWs" as he called her) what she thought about Yolanda and it seemed like he was toying with whether to keep her on. Luckily, Camille kept it diplomatic and relatively decent re: the Duchess. Phew! Maybe Camille should come back, too. IA with DaytimeFan (wouldn't be the first time) about TayShana. Is she a hot drunken mess, a grifter with a questionable lip augmentation? Yes, undoubtedly. But sometimes grifters are needed amid the glamour and wealth. TayShady will also do anything to stay within the BH zip code and also brings the drama when it counts. I thought she read Adrienne perfectly at Lisa's tea party this season. In some ways, she took over Camille's truth-telling duties from Season 2.

Briana's words stating why she doesn't like Brooks, the way he talks to her, the things he says about her mother behind her back and how that is a sign of a poor character were GLORIOUS. I love Briana's common sense and no-mess attitude and while I get why Andy wants "glamorous" HWs holding that orange, I wish Briana was a full housewife. We've seen her grow up and become a nurse and struggle with serious illness and make her own decisions. She is one of the few people appearing on these RH franchises that I seriously respect and for that reason alone, I would love to see her every week setting the world to rights with a few succinct, matter-of-fact words. In addition, it would put Vicki and tamra in their respective places somewhat because both know she's the real deal and are a little afraid of going against her. Loved Heather and the Dubrow family getting all gussied up to go to temple (everybody else at temple seemed very low-key) and taking the elevator down, like, one floor to the garage in their Super Mansion. However, Heather seems to be taking every little thing way too seriously at the moment and Terry doesn't seem that easy-going anymore about the nagging. I feel a bit bad for Vicki when she's talking to Tamra in a very subdued fashion. I think the RL backlash against her and Brooks surprised her and hit her hard. She needs to stop wining about how the world doesn't want her to be happy, though. Either stay with Brooks and suck up the fallout or get rid of him once and for all and be seen as the "strong woman rebuilding herself" she keeps saying she is. She can't have it both ways. And yeah Nothin'ButAttitude, I find her thick jaw distracting, too. Don't hate me but I am really not minding Alexis much so far this season, and Tamra physically tossing her out of her chair in the previews seems way OTT, even for Tamra. OK, Lydia's teeth are... offputting. When she was playing with her kids Stirling and Maverick (!!! WTF with that name? Who is crushing on Tom Cruise in that marriage, hmmm?), she looked like a 15-year old child bride. Having said that, there is something in her goofiness which I quite like.

^^ This is why I would love to have Nene on RHoBH (cause I couldn't get into RHoA this time around). I love how Nene and Brandi had their wingmen Cynthia and Lisa with them when all this went down... although I wouldn't be surprised if this was just publicity for Bravo.

I agree. I think Mary was lying when she denied it to Ronnie's face. She did not have a convincing look about her when they were talking about it! It might also explain some of why she and Ronnie have such a volatile and intense relationship. Don't know if Reiko was fired but I read that she "wasn't asked back." Too bad because her story today would have made for a great SL (divorcing her gangster hubby, falling in love with a girl DJ, etc). I liked Reiko.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I would be shocked if Ronnie returned. Especially after she publicly admitted that she lied about Robin drugging her. That was a serious allegation to make in the first place. It was too bad Christina didn't come back and Reiko was fired. Both represented some balance on the show -- Reiko in particular had a cool head.

I don't think Mary should have necessarily apologized to Jody. After Robin called out Ronnie on her lies, it was a bit of a letdown to see Mary crumbling at the very end of a rather rational discussion with Jody. I thought Jody would finally respond in a somewhat civilized fashion, but instead Mary offered up an apology immediately, without even knowing exactly what for. Well, either she knows she did something to Jody (and she's not telling) or she had a moment of doubt when she finally got face-to-face with Jody. But Jody def saw it as weakness because she jumped all over her and then retorted with her "bad breath" line.

^^ Yep. Apparently the Andy Cohen of Canada who chaired the last Reunion said there wasn't going to be one this time around.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Elsa and DaytimeFan, I very much agree with your assessments of RHoV's season finale. It was an extremely frustrating episode for this viewer. All season long I have waited -- with bated breath -- to find out WHY exactly Jody and Ronnie hate Mary so much (I don't count Amanda as she is just parroting what the Big Girls say). What did she do to provoke all this bile? The reasons for Ronnie and Mary "breaking up" are still clouded in mystery. I had hoped that Jody completely losing it would finally reveal why she can't stand the woman. Instead, it was more bullying, more hatred, more Ronnie torn and then running away, either unable to make a choice or unable to deal with being called out on her trifling ways. Instead, Jody's outburst, while having provoked some consternation from Mia and Amanda, was greeted with "Well, you are a wonderful mother/friend. I wish people could see that!" Absolving Jody of all responsibility, a running theme for a lot of women on this show. The final codas adressing "What Happened Next" were unsatisfying in the extreme. Ioulia's marriage breaking apart is a huge deal, especially since she signed a pre-nup leaving her with no settlement apart from her condo and clothes. Amanda dumping her bf was written on the wall from the moment she made him wear that emasculating bunny outfit. Constant jokes about breath mints and bad breath were in poor taste for Mary and Jody's final codas. I can't even remember what Ronnie's was, except that she looked more present and alive in her scene with Gerry the majordomo than I have seen her all season -- possibly that bit was filmed later? The rest of the time, Ronnie looked like a stoned muppet and given how stunning she is, that is a tragedy. Her sad eyes really get to me and I hope that she kicks this depression/alcohol/prescription pill abuse she is struggling with very soon. DF, you may be right when you diagnose a borderline personality disorder. The fact that Jhordan was there in the final episode, escorting her to some art event when she herself admitted she was at her lowest, makes me sad for the burden of responsibility placed on him. Where is Mr. Negus in all this?! And the fact that there will be no Reunion to answer some very pointed questions is disappointing. I am thinking Ronnie or her handlers pulled the plug on that one, as part of damage control. Cheap was right that Jody is now a cancer to RHoV. Watching not one but two mentally ill RL women is not entertaining. It feels like baiting a wounded, rabid animal in a cage. Ronnie and Jody need counseling, not fame. Honestly, they need to pull the plug on RHoV immediately. Mary, Ronnie and Jody should all cancel their Twitter accounts and put restraining and gag orders out on each other so that they are never within 10 feet of each other and never talk about each other, like, ever.

Kelly is bipolar IMO. And incredibly self-deluding and self-obsessed. She loves the sound of her own voice and can't stand anybody outshining her. That + the mental issues = a toxic combination.

RHoOC: Well, they didn't change the I-composed-it-at-home-on-my-Casio music or the opening credits, but something about the filming and the transition between segments has been polished. Jesus, remember when RHoOC was filmed documentary styles with a hand-held camcorder and practically no music? This show remains the least glam of the franchises (BH! sob!) but it owns that, and returning to the OC is like coming back to an old friend we haven't seen in forever. My thoughts: Brianna. LOVE this down-to-earth chick. I liked Vicki this episode. What is wrong with me? Tamra is still trailer trash who trashes other women. I love Alexis's new hair and think she looks 1000 times better than she used to. Did you see the look Paul gave Heather when she shut him down about the onion rings? Methinks this marriage is on the rocks. No Slade! No Brooks! Hurrah! ...but Jabba the Hutt aka Jim was there. Barf. Gretchen has had some kind of facelift according to the previews because she looks tight. The new girl is coming across slightly better than I thought she would in the previews (although to be fair I thought she looked like another 'Porsha' initially).

OMG I love you right now. THANK YOU for nailing Kathy's thirsty ass to the wall! As for her gross husband, people say Brandi on BH is trashy, but his fish comment was outright offensive and trashtastic. He'd say anything to be on TV. P.S.: What's a "tarsier"?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I like Ioulia, too, for that very reason. She just wants the BS to stop and have fun with everybody. She is the most sane person on RHoV right now and isn't afraid to call people out on their silliness. I like that she does her own thing and doesn't try to ally herself to closely with anybody. Robin was good this episode but this is a woman who seems to care way too much about what people think of her.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yep, they are. It is awful and Ronnie better lawyer up because I hope Robin sues her ass for defamation. Mary is 49 and clearly has had work done, but she looks much younger. Even though I hate her, Jody looks good for her age and has incredible skin. The witches coven are depressing to watch. I can't believe that they (and Slice, possibly) think that they are this awesome clique who get to decide who is in with them and who is out. It's not even HS, it is sixth grade.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
YES! RHoV! Let's talk about this. RHoV is getting hard to watch from the POV of Mary getting ganged up on by that coven of witches. The bullying is awful and I just do not understand the obsessional hatred. They need to EXPLAIN to us, the viewer, what it is about Mary that they hate. Does Ronnie feel that Mary moved on without her? That she didn't come to see Remy at the hospital? That she didn't support her during rehab? What? Jody's jealousy is plain to see, but when Amanda says that Mary is a psychopath, I just want her to STFU. She doesn't know what she's talking about. She is coming across as just wanting to kiss up to Jody and Ronnie and will throw another woman under the bus to do that. She looks so silly. As it stands, the witches' coven are coming across horribly. They look especially bad organizing their own party on the day of Mary's birthday 'do. And as Ioulia said "They are like hamsters -- they eat their young." With Mary now not willing to engage with them, they turn on each other. First Robin, now Ioulia. They are awful. Ronnie... I don't know what to say. With her dead, glassy eyes and bloated face. Ronnie does not look well or all there. This is not the first time she has thrown Mary under the bus -- she did it in Season 1, but I loved her then. I can't look at her now. And accusing Robin of drugging her? WTF? What is with all these women who refuse to accept responsibility for their actions? Mary brings some of the hate on herself, especially when she invites Amanda to lunch. When somebody tells you to go !@#$%^&*] yourself, you wait for them to come crawling back to you with an apology. Instead, no apology, and it was like she was just asking Fakemanda to smack her in the face. Which she did (verbally). I wish Mary had gone to Ioulia's birthday party and just ignored the Witches and shown them she has moved on from them. I would have loved to see her hang with Jhordan and Houston while their mother seethed into her vodka-and-prescription-pill cocktail. I hope Ioulia understands now what kind of women she is dealing with. I wish Christina was back on the show telling them where they can all go. Jody and Ronnie were rather scared of Christina, I think.

Empress Lisa. I love her so damn much. I don't think I have ever enjoyed a franchise and a HW like BH and Lisa, ever. She is fabulous, and I am sad that RHoBH is over for the season. Truly. I'm not really a shipper of characters/people, but I ship the Brandi-Lisa-Yolanda friendship so hard. I also love how calmer and more affectionate Lisa gets with Giggy on her lap and Ken by her side. I felt she was tense and on guard during the Reunion, although she was upfront and expressed everything beautifully. I liked the end where the women expressed kind words and hopes for future friendship to each other at the end. Even though I've had no use for Kim for many seasons, her final thoughts were the most moving. I liked TayShana too and hope she stays on the show. I am disappointed that Andy Cohen doesn't see the opportunities Faye Resnick brings to the franchise, though. Cutting any mention of her out of Reunion seems kind of... personal, no? And when Lisa said she loved Kyle, despite everything... even though I hate Kyle's user ass, I still hold out hope that the L/K friendship goes some way to being repaired. There is nothing like seeing Kyle being jealous of Brandi, no?

For real. It's one thing to stir the pot, but Jody's hatred of Mary (not just annoyance but out-and-out hatred) is psychotic, and the way she brings her up with Ronnie ALL THE TIME to tell her what a traitor Mary is, that's just poisonous and evil. As Ioulia said many times in the episode "These gorls... why they so UB-sessed vit Mary?" Ronnie falling off the wagon and nobody daring to say a word? That's what money can do, y'all -- get you surrounded by Yes People. Ronnie is not a good drunk, either. She gets mean and maudlin and violent. Robin just gets ditzy and says whatever pops into her brain. I feel for Amanda and her past, and applaud her putting those issues behind her. But ALL her VTs are so mean-spirited. Bitchy can be funny, but all the time? There is more to humor than just belittling people constantly. Like the way she acted over Ioulia's Russian jokes. Yes, it was unfunny but it was funny in its unfunniness. Especially the way Ioulia cracked up after telling it. "Nobody get Russian sense of humour."

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Ronnie is now saying that she and Mary had a "one-night thing" way back in the day. Don't know if it's true or not but it's not like that never crossed my mind when watching them make up and break up. Amanda's admission about having been abused in her past -- wow... And then she spoils it all by talking about being a "strong woman" who "asserts" herself. Oh, Amanda. Making nasty comments about Mary, Robin and Ioulia during your VT is not being a "strong woman"!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
So, I am only one-third of the way through RHoV right now, and I am laughing SO hard at the fake-ass "psychic" (with a subscription to Slice TV) doing a reading for Ronnie and her new BFF Amanda: "Psychic": I feel a negative energy here! It begins with an M. Ronnie: "Psychic": Does the name 'Mary' ring any bells? Wow. This person is a piece of work. She is so jealous of you! Ronnie: OMG. That's uncanny. "Psychic" (to Miss Gofuckyourself Amanda): You are what I like to call 'God's children.' Amanda (sobbing in agreement): OMG. That's uncanny.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
LOL, it's my avatar. I love this picture, the affection really comes through. It doesn't feel fake or contrived either, especially the way Brandi has her arm around Yolanda's waist. I don't want them to break up either, Angela!

Every friendship Kyle and Mauricio appear to cultivate (outside of extended family) has always smacked of "future business endeavour." Remember how chummy they were with Taylor and Russell? Even after Kyle must have told Mauricio about Russell's abuse. Of course, the Cowardly Lion herself is Queen of the Business Endeavour Friendship.
