  1. LOL! AMC is just poking itself in the eye with all these miserly decisions. Think of all the projects that are going elsewhere because producers want nothing to do with AMC. It such a coincidence that just a couple days somewhere online I was reading a financial blurb where two stockbrokers were debating whether investing AMC was a good move. The network has such a bad rep despite having the no. 1 scripted tv show.

  2. I totally believe Darabont's claims. He is not the first creator/producer to be cheated by the networks. Plus, AMC is run by cheap dumbasses and scumbags. AMC has been in financial trouble for the last two or three years and it was made worse when it tried to take on the Dish Network. No doubt the settlement with Darabont will take yet another financial chunk out of AMC.

  3. I thought this episode was okay. My favorite part was the captain's story. I like that he has his own journey. It was freaky when the demon confronted him and mentioned his daughter's soul. The captain has a tough decision to make.

Of course, Icabod's son is alive somewhere and will pop up eventually. I just hope that he is not like teenage Connor on Angel.

  4. I thought the interview was okay. I usually like most of major plots that the story does, but I don't think that they made the right decision dragging out the Governor's story. Really his story was done last season, the attack on the prison should have been last season's finale. I also don't like the character study episodes that telegraph who is going to die next.

With three more regulars, we should have at least one more death by the end of this season. I think that we will see Morgan again. I would prefer that he joins the group. They can get rid of Bob.

  5. I am losing interest. I thought that Marie was going to torture LaLaurie. Compared to what she did those those enslaved men, cutting off her hand and head is exceeding tame.

Kyle's story is boring. The mother torturing her son with the enema was gross.

  6. Well, they can't hire an underweight baby so you just have to accept some suspension of disbelief.

Clearly, I did that and do that all the time with the whole show or I could not enjoy it as much as I do.

Anyway, to reiterate my original point, I have no problem with them killing Judith if she is dead.

  7. I know some people wanted Daryl to decapitate Rick in Carol's name, but I took Daryl's reaction as confused and upset, not just accepting. They had other things to worry about.

Carol is one of my favorite characters, but if her fans keep bashing Rick and Maggie all the time, that's going to become increasingly difficult for me to get past.

I saw that Carol & Carol/Daryl fans were having a meltdown over Daryl's reaction when Rick told him all over TWD forums and blog sphere. Part of that is the problem with 'shipping a couple that does not exist and the other is not seeing Daryl and the other characters on the show as they are written. Daryl was clearly upset and angry that Rick banished Carol, but he was never going to turn on Rick or the group. He certainly was not going defend her actions and did not rather he opted for denial saying, "that was not her" when Rick said that she was not sorry. As a man, Daryl is far more like Rick, Hershel, Glenn, and Tyreese than Merle, Phillip, and Shane. He was never going to "understand" or accept what Carol did any more than he could with Merle.

Oh, I don't know. I think children are born even under the most horrible conditions. Look at all the women living in the third world under famine conditions that have live births. People even gave birth in concentration camps. I doubt Lori was any worse off then those women. That's not to say that the children born under those circumstances are as healthy as children born under more optimal conditions, of course.

True, but there is an extremely high maternal and infant mortality rates in those circumstances. Even if Judith had survived the birth, I would have expected her to underweight and sick, not pink and healthy as she turned out.

  8. RME? Okay. The Governor had also been shot. Rick got the jump on the man and was pummeling him and then lost. Plain and simple.

Phillip got winged. Rick was more far seriously injured by the bullet. We saw Phillip kick Rick in his injured leg. Regardless, it is clear that they wanted Michonne run Phillip through which would not have happened if Rick had easily won the fight.

  9. I wanted the walkers to eat Phillip, but I have no problems with Lily killing him him. Kirkman said that he did not want Phillip's death to be satisfying by having on the group get their vengeance and he succeeded there with you and lots of others. smile.png I don't mind if Lily survives, but I don't see how she could have.

Rick is an idiot. I don't know why anyone lets him decide things. The Governor is insane, there was no talking to him, he honestly should have known better.

Rick is not an idiot. He went to talk to Phillip to stall, to buy them time for Daryl and the others to set up their defense and save as many people at the prison as they could. Why do you think he nodded at Daryl and told Carl to shoot. Rick knew there little to no chance of saving Hershel or Michonne although he offered himself in exchange, but he had to try. I am sure that he had a small bit of hope that he could reason with Phillip or convince his people to stop the attack, but he was hoping for a miracle if only to save his people's lives. I mean, Phillip was never going to just let them walk away from the prison.

  10. My thoughts after the re-watch:

Where is Michonne? I expected her to pop up behind Rick when he was reunited with Carl.

Tyreese went after the two girls who I am sure were going to find the other two children.

If Judith is alive, she is either with Tyreese and the children or Michonne.

Phillip thinking that Lily was coming to help him, only for her to shoot him dead was classic. I noticed that one of the walkers stepped on a king from a chess set. The writers' way of saying the wannabe king is dead.

Alicia was wrong, it was not too late. She could have taken Tara and run away. I would like it if Tara is alive and hooks up with one of our survivors. I am think that Lily is dead. Either the walkers killed her or she killed herself.

Two months! I will miss the show desperately until it comes back.

  11. Re-watching, I hope that Tara survived. She was the only one with any moral compass in that group.

Yeah, Tyreese ran after those four children. I wonder if they hid Judith away because they were dragging her in the carrier. It would explain why they were running in the opposite direction towards where they hid her.

Rick's final line, "don't look back, Carl, keep walking" was a hard ending.

  12. Lizzie is crazy as hell. She is what Carl could have become without Rick's parenting. I would not be surprised if Lizzie kills her sister and everyone in sight.

BTW, let me just say "I told you so" that the kids learning to shoot would be more useful than learning to use a knife.

  13. Also, once the shooting started, Phillip's group started to shoot back, but there he was crawling after Hershel to finish taking off his head. The man was a lunatic. It always cracks me up when the few people talk about what a good leader he is. Really?!

  14. Michonne did seem to get away very easily, but Phillip was crazy so once he focused on killing Hershel, he forgot about Michonne in that moment.

I think that you cannot rationalize Phillip's actions because he is crazy as hell.
