  1. I am seeing a landslide for the President. I love the all the women have fought back against these women-hating men and won.

Kudos to Nate Silver. The pundits who hated on him can stick it where the sun does not shine.

  2. Subtracting a poll done before Sandy to one done after fails to interpret statistical data appropriately. Almost all the state polls since the second debate have shown the trend that independents have been constantly moving toward the President. Of course, this is difficult to see unless you carefully study them like Nate Silver (FiveThirtyEight) and Wang (Princeton Election Consortium) have done. But if you subtract almost any a poll done since the after the first debate from one done more recently, it will show that the independents have been breaking for the President. There are outliers like the Gallup poll which is why I suspect it was not included that table. Romney has not had any "momentum" in the state polls since before the second data despite the claims otherwise of his campaign, their allies, and the media.

  3. I have never seen Afterlife, but the first thing that I ever saw Andrew in was This Life. It was a British legal drama that I absolutely loved. Andrew was very good in it. He played Egg, the disillusioned lawyer turned writer. Interestingly, Jack Davenport who is in Smash and played Will's rival for Elizabeth's affections in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies was also a lead in This Life. Andrew then starred in Teachers. He was also very good in that as well. I was thrilled when I saw that he got the lead for The Walking Dead and hope that he starts getting accolades for his performances.

  4. Indeed. The weakness of the Democratic Party is remarkably frustrating and it's the reason the Democrats are constantly in a position of starting from scratch. They never finish the job. Already I'm seeing Democrats say that if Obama wins then the Republicans will be more cooperative this time around. That's complete and total fuckery. The Republicans will double down on their obstruction and corruption with their eyes on 2016. There will be no cooperation. There will be no bipartisanship. The only hope is that the GOP manages to tear itself apart from the inside.

I completely agree. I noticed that the NY Times endorsement said that the President would be prepared this time for the partisan opposition. I hope that it was right. I want to see he and the Democratic Congress going to the match. No more of this compromising BS.

  5. Yes, Andrew, the prisoner who tried to kill Rick. Rick chased and locked him outside with the walkers. The last we heard, Andrew was screaming which implied that he was zombie chow. Yet somehow he survived and set in motion the plan to take back the prison from Rick. Oscar killed Andrew to save RIck which should persuade the others to let he and the drug addict into the group.

Kudos to Andrew Lincoln for his performance when Rick realized that Lori was dead. It was fine work. I think that he is underrated as an actor because he plays the white hat and leader of the group.

  6. There is going to be all sorts of spinning, but Sandy had nothing to do with the President winning the election. Despite months of the pundits and Republican spin machine, this has always been the President's election to lose. He has led in the state polls in most of key swing states since June 2012 and has never has less than ~65% chance of winning this election according to Nate Silver's model. Even the President's first bad debate performance which tightened the polls was unable to shake his lead in most of the swing states. Romney lost this election in way back in August,

  7. Now the NY Times has an article saying that the mainstream media (including the AP) plans to be cautious. They doubt that they can call the race by 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday because the swing states are expected to be close. RME. What losers! They are just trying to string out the election so they can keep the suspense going and ratings higher. Thank goodness for all the political and election blogs and Web sites.

  8. Yeah, where is Carol? It does seem like she escaped. Looks like Rick loses him mind next week. I am cool with that.I am just glad that he and Lori did not get a sappy goodbye scene. It was heartbreaking when Rick looked at Carl, realized that he killed Lori, started to shake and cry, and then fell on the ground.

I did enjoy the funny moment when Daryl asked Glenn and Maggie if they were coming when they were having sex in the guard house. Hilarious.

I have no use for Andrea at the moment. Could Michonne be a little less obvious about her suspicions? She is not acting clever at all.

Interview with Mazzara and Kirkman about killing off Lori and T-Dog: http://www.seattlepi.com/entertainment/tv/tvguide/article/The-Walking-Dead-Bosses-on-Two-Big-Deaths-It-4007897.php

One reason was to make the group off-kilter when they encounter the Governor's group.

  9. Good question. I want to know who did this also. I know that he is a dead man when Rick finds him.

I hope that I can find a good hairdresser like Andrea if I am ever in a zombie apocalypse.

OMG, it is the prisoner that Rick let go. Rick should have killed him directly. Lesson learned.

Wait is Lori really dead? Damn, that is two major deaths in two episodes. [!@#$%^&*] this show does not play.
